Manchester United Thread

As much as I want Ronaldo to shine and prove once and for all he does it in big games, I'd much rather see Rooney take all the plaudits and have one of those games where he affects everything we do.

I never feel like Rooney gets the ratings and the applause that he so clearly deserves, he's just possibly my favourite player right now.

ahh thats right your the Ronaldo hater (lol)

c'mon surely he's earned a pat on the back for his recent performance(s)..

feck me based on CL semi finals I'd rather have Ronaldo than Messi...

Yep Ronaldo's on form and Messi's form isn't as good as it was earlier in the season but both are different players and the best at the moment. All this talk of Rome has made us forget that were playing City tommorow. I think we'll need to be right on our game as its like their cup final.I think we'll start tommorow like this...

-------Van Der Sar--------
O'Shea-Ferdinand-Vidic-Evra
Ronaldo-Scholes-Carrick-Park
-------Rooney--Berbatov----

So the Boss did mention that he is expecting few activities happening for us in the transfer window...which is a positive sign. This could mean that he is looking into signing maybe a couple of players and nothing more.I hope this dosent includes Tevez's deal.

So,which areas do you lot think he is lookin at?

I think he'll off load Campbell and Manucho and maybe send some more like Macheda or Welbeck out on loan. I can't see anyone coming in unless he lets Tevez go.

The word is out from the man himself.Tevez wants to leave but wants to stay in England. Not a surprise really but he does say all that he has been keeping inside and I believe this will not make the Boss happy.Tevez made it sound like he wanted to stay but the club didnt want him and Sir Alex didnt show enough faith in him. This might be true but I think its the wrong thing to say at the moment.Sad ending to happy and illustrious start with us.

I bloody hope not.

If he's trully resigned to leaving, let him go to Spain or Italy. I don't want him turning up and inevitably hurting us.

HE doesnt have any choice cos Tevez is not our player, he's MSI's!

Tevez starts today, Rooney rested (on the bench).

It's a strange derby this.

No intensity or bite, no wonder we think the Liverpool game is much, much bigger.

We're taking it at a canter really, their defence is shocking. Lucky deflection for Ronaldo's free kick, but it's another goal for him which is always good, and Tevez's goal was wonderful, he almost had an even better one as well. I wonder if this is him sending a message to Fergie and Gill, or to other clubs.

he was just annoyed at being taken off, nice picture of Messi with his nan btw

Ronaldo cried or what? lol
Lionel Messi threw a strop after he was hooked during Barcelona's victory over Valencia, it has been revealed.
Radio RAC-1 says Messi refused to train immediately after the 4-0 win, when he was substituted by coach Pep Guardiola for young striker Pedrito. Messi was unhappy with the decision and remained angry the next day.
Initially, Messi was ready to snub the morning training session, but eventually was convinced to go by friends after a series of frantic phone calls. However, while at the Nou Camp, Messi refused to change into his shorts and instead spent the session in the locker room watching television.
Later, Guardiola settled the issue with Messi.
Barca explained his absence officially as "he was doing therapy". It has not transpired, however, if the club fined Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have counted the days in Manchester Untied. The Portuguese international, who started the match against Manchester City owner, was substituted 60 minutes into the match with 2-0 in favor of his team on the scoreboard by Scholes. At the exit, the Portuguese was very angry about the change. He was reproached for Ferguson, threw the tracksuit to the ground and made clear gestures of disagreement with what had happened and sat on the bench.

What happened in the dock shows that the crack is not going to United for a good time, so his departure to Real Madrid could be imminent. Ferguson appears to have booked several players to reach the final doses of the European Cup against Barcelona next to the May 27, but wanted to keep the Portuguese in the field to expand their difference in the scorers table in the Premiership.
if this is true for argument sake has anyone stood up to SAF and won... SAF might be holding out a grudge from last season w/ Ronaldo I'm going ,I`m staying tactics.Just a question cause in the end you mess w/ the bull you seem to get the Horns (SAF)

Its getting blown out of proportion I think.

Ronaldo never likes being subbed, he obviously didnt feel it was necessary in the circumstances, where as Fergie did. We all know Ronny throws his toys out the pram when he doesnt get a freekick given for something so it's just along those lines IMO.

Fergie will put him straight.

so having a player like that and if you lots feel that way my question is answered Ronaldo wins. So ,take the good w/ the bad as long as he keeps performing like a beast OK. Or maybe SAF will be leaving soon and he needs Ronaldo more than Ronaldo needs SAF. A sign that will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Ronaldo is a fantastic player no denying ,but He seems to be still on mum bitty.I know the claims Ruud said about Ronaldo crying baby tactics was not exaggerated at all then, it`s a shame.

Thats Ronaldo for you though. He aims to be the greatest of all time and wants to be at the center of everything. If he doesnt get his way then we see things like what happened yesterday. A bit childish and does get annoying to be honest. But as much as we all hate a character like that, every team needs one or else you get a team thats too unselfish. I think Arsenal could do with a selfish character right now. Chelsea have Drogba and one could argue that its a major part of why he's arguably the best striker in the world when he's on form.
