Manchester United Thread

i really thought we were going to get Eto'o this summer. And that he'd allow Rooney to come back and play a SS. Looks like Berba is the SS, and Rooney will be stuffed all the way upfront.

Eto'o would have been cheaper :)

Fergie see's Rooney as a CF and seeing his best performances have come there it makes sense.

Eto'o wouldnt have been cheaper but would have been the same price. Benzema and Aguero were the two I was talking about. Villa wants to stay at Valencia.

Benzema or Aguero would definitely break the bank.I personally prefer a forward with some built so,Aguero would be out for me.Sammy E'too would be perfect but I said the same about Berba...

Last few times we've faced Chelski (CL final, Sept) Fergie brought out quirky lineups, I'm guessing designed to negate Chelski's preparation. It worked both times, and had we any ability to finish whatsoever, we'd of been out of sight at half time in both matches.

So I'm expecting something different again. For some reason I have a sneaking suspicion Fergie's going to go all traditional 442, with a really attacking lineup featuring Nani, Rooney, Ronaldo and Berbatov up front, with Carrick and Fletcher in the back.

I think everyone expects us to show up 433, with Carrick, Fletcher and either Scholes or Andy being used to counteract the Chelsea midfield. But I think Fergie might just go balls out and try to avoid the centre of the park completely.

Hehe, we're definitely losing to Derby. And we're playing with Darren Gibson as a right winger. Or midfielder. Actually to be honest I have no idea what the hell we're doing. But it's crap.

And we definitely deserved to lose. No excuses, we were crap, they were the better team. Committed, tough tackling and a good time management exercise.

Great strike, but having only seen Derby twice this season, my scouting report would have said: No threat unless you let Commons have time to shoot with his left. Guess no one bothered to tell our defense.

I don't think anyone on our team came out with any credit there. It was bollocks. The passing was terrible. Nani, Anderson, O'Shea and Gibson were particularly bad. Was Carrick's header in the 91st minute our first shot on target?

By far the worst we have played this season. gave the ball away to much and played like we couldnt be arsed. gibson hasnt really impressed me so far and O'Shea I think is not needed any more. Oh well bring on chelsea!

On a more positive note Evra's ban has finished and we dont have to put up with anymore special O'Shea moments.

Not sure what it is. It just seems like there's no spark this season. When was the last time we actually hammered someone?

Sure, it was 5-0, but they offered nothing. Anyone would have beaten them that day.

News about Ronaldo crashing his Ferrari but he was unhurt. The car is a write off. I wonder if he rolled around waiting for the coppers to give him a free kick?

I'm sure he did that big grimace though. Good to hear he's alright, diving cheat as he is, I'd never wish a serious car crash on anyone.

More random is that we've signed some Stoke defender who has never played for them for our reserve team. That's right, a reserve signing. I have absolutely no idea what that's about. Stoke claim its a 3 year deal, our website says its on loan til the end of the season.

Something's not right here...

lol for both of those comments.
So how is it going to be against chelsea? u win with park again or what?

park is a big game player, torn up between him playing with man u winning or a stalemate without his power plays.. >.<
