Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Hopefully by the time that new ruling kicks in,we would have a new batch of fledlings, ready made for the big stage.Unlikely but still a possibility.

Either that or we need to poach young kids all over Britain and nurture them.Any news on Aaron Ramsey?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I'd love Ronaldo to stay, but like someone else mentioned i see him leaving at some point. Tbh i think Ronaldo atm is on a crossroad; he either stays and becomes a legend, or leaves looking for another challenge elsewhere and we always have fond memories of him.

Also i don't fear the worse for Man Utd incase Ronaldo leaves, Alex is the man and he was always there to eye, foster and bring the best out of talented players.

About Kusczak being better than Boruc, No Way. Look up Boruc on youtube, his attitude and Gk skills surely reminds you of someone..

Ronaldo should wait at least another season. The way things are going, English clubs could dominate Europe again so his best chance of more CL medals could be here.
We're going to get this shit every year until it actually happens so I'm not worrying about it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Seems like the hot rumours of Karim Benzema and Klaas Jan Huntelaar are simmering up again.Either one will do,thank you.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Same here.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I'd much much rather Benzema, he seems a far more complete stiker compared to Huntelaar and I think he'd be better suited to our league with his pace and power. Also he's played CL football already and done well, whereas KJH has only really played Dutch league and a few UEFA cup games, plus national team.

I do agree Huntelaar has a phenomenal goal to game record and is no doubt a great striker but I just think Karim is better, plus he's younger so has room to develop even further.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

But with Tevez and Rooney here, one of them is rarely gonna get a game.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

If Ronaldo leaves, then maybe...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Replacing Ronaldo with Benzema wouldn't be a bad idea...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Mark "Sparky" Hughes is talking to Man City over the vancant position since Sven has finally gone. I see Sparky as a potential replacement for SAF in a few years however if he gets the job at Man City would any of you hold it against him, just like Man Utd fans booed Paul Ince when he came back with Liverpool?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Huntelaar is going to Everton according to my mate .....

:lmao:

It'll never happen... Huntelaar will come to Utd probs all in all I'm hoping Ronaldo stays!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

If Ronaldo does decide to join Madrid i wouldnt mind an exchange with Casillas/Robinho or Casillas/Robben.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

With the money we'd get for Ronaldo we could get Robinho and offer a massive amount for Benzema (and maybe pay a lot of the Tevez fee). It would be sad to see Ronaldo leave, but we're bigger than him and will move on.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Ah well...The Special One goes to Inter Milan and I would think a chunk of his goons at Chelski would follow suit.

I have read before if another striker goes to Inter,Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be tempted to move and make himself available for transfer.Assuming that the Drog goes to Inter, thus making Ibrahimovic available, would we put in a bid for him?

Big,strong with the uncanny ability to entertain and deliver goals. If Zlatan comes and Ronaldo stays,Manchester United will be Joga Bonito for real!

Imagine..Ronaldo,Ibrahimovic,Rooney,Tevez,Nani,Scholes,Hargreaves,Rio,Evra..We would be the poster team for Nike!

Ibrahimovic would be more problems for the team. Big ego. I'm quite sure he wont leave, he recently said he's Inter for life and is their key striker.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

If ever CRonaldo leaves, it wont be a big blow for United. Fergie would have already thought about the replacement for CRonaldo. Yea, you wont be playing as smoothly as last season, but i'm sure it'll be someone as good CRonaldo. Maybe Benzema, if Cronaldo leaves. That is only "IF", which i'm thinking will not happen.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Madrid's president already said something like "If Ronaldo doesn't come it's not a failure".

So, preparing Madrid fans for a disappointment me thinks...

C Ronaldo: I made my decision.. I am going to Fenerbahce!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Real Madrid winger Robinho claims he is part of a proposal which could see Cristiano Ronaldo leave Manchester United for the Bernabeu.

The Brazil international, who says he has also interested Chelsea, is keen to remain in Madrid but concedes he would have "no problem in leaving".

Robinho's remarks, reported by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, contradict numerous statements from United, who have repeatedly said they are not interested in trading Ronaldo.

The Spanish champions declined to comment on Robinho's claims.

The Brazilian said: "There are proposals, yes.

"One is from Manchester United which would be in exchange for Cristiano Ronaldo and the other is from Chelsea."

Robinho played an important role in Madrid's Primera Liga title success last season - scoring 11 goals in 32 league games - but faces an uncertain future under Bernd Schuster.

He added: "I have never hidden my desire to remain at Real Madrid.

"But if the negotiations materialise into something I will have no problem in leaving."

Robinho's comments will increase speculation around Ronaldo, who said on Saturday he will make an announcement on his future in "two to three days".

Getting interesting, thought it was all typical RM bollocks to begin with, but its starting to look more and more likely. Cant say I'll miss him ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

He wont go, SAF already made it clear, that either Ronaldo gets on with things or he'll be forced to sit out a season on the bench, i really hope that things dont come to that but if Ronaldo wants to leave we should let him go and try and force away some Real stars, as someone mentionend Casillas and Robinho would be nice compensation.:)

Hi guys, is it true that Pletikosa is going to be your new goalie and he will sing after euro 2008?

Nope, we already have van der Sar, Kuszczak and Foster in the goalkeeping department so I doubt we will even attempt to sign a keeper this summer.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

A couple of rumours flying here and there...

Apparently,Louis Saha is in France for a medical with Lyon.

Man United to sign Dani Alves, Benzema and Moutinho, Saha only player to leave along with Pique from the first team.

United will finalize the transfers of David Silva, Daniel Alves and Karim Benzema within the week.Cristiano Ronaldo is going to announce his loyalty by signing a new 5-year deal with United

Sir Alex Ferguson dispatched Scouts to Norway to watch the young forward Tarik Elyounoussi who plays for FFK, a huge talent who got his debut for the norwegian last week when he scored within 5 minutes after entering the field.

News just in.Aaron Ramsey will sign for us after both clubs agreed a deal for the starlet. He will officially become a United player as soon as he passes his medical and signs on the dotted line.
