I had a dream last night that Luis Figo signed for us for one year.
I've been thinking about it today and it might not be such a bad idea. Sure, he's 35 but he could play 20-30 games same as Giggs and Scholes. He might also keep Ronaldo happy and would be a great teacher for the youngsters.
What do you think?

Bad idea...might disrupt the harmony at United.What made you think Ronaldo isnt happy now? He is learning well now and dosent need a washed up 'legend' to teach him a thing or two.His status has now surpassed Figo.

Figo is too old and isn't half the player he used to be. Nice idea but no thanks, we're Man United not AC Milan.
I want to see a bright young striker brought in the summer and maybe a defender but THAT'S IT. I don't want unnecessary signings as our current crop of champions will only get better.
Be icing on the cake if we can hang on to Ronny, it will be like signing a new player all in itself.

Central defence is not a position that can be rotated too often as a strong partnership needs to be forged and with Rio & Vida in his way there was little chance of him getting many games. We've got at least another 4-6 years of that partnership and by which time Pique would be reaching his prime with his career passing him by and that's not what he would deserve.
I hope he does well.

Im gutted Pique has left he was a player with so much promise. Maybe this will mean Evans has a chance of staying.
Supposedly we've been linked with Dani Alves, Luis Fabiano, and Micah Richards today. Who would you have out of the 3.
Dani Alves- He'd have to be my first choice, the guy is just an amazing talent and he would complete the right flank.
Micah Richards- Top class player, but if we are gunna sign Dani Alves then whats the point of bringing in Micah? He wouldn't get much time playing at centre back with the formidable partnership in Vida and Rio. I'd only go for him if Dani Alves is out of reach.
Luis Fabiano- Still unsure on him. Is he a one season wonder? I think bringing in some one with a better track record. I would love to bring in Villa as he could be an option. Benzema would be my preferred option but there is very little chance that will go through as he wants to stay at Lyon for another season.

Micah is class and all but i think as a right back Alves is better. Micah is better as a centre back but saying that he is good at RB too, i just don't know.

Just heard that Amauri has agreed to sign for Juventus after passing his medical...which brings to mind...what if we bid for David Trezeguet? Has bags of experience,big and strong,a natural target man and finisher in the box.Ole Solskjaer's legend number 20 shirt would be an honour for Trezeguet if he were to come to us.What do you lot think?

Nice thought there Phrase completely agree, he would be a excellent signing but if he left Juve it would probably be for 1st team football and we couldn't guarantee him that when other big clubs could.

Dani Alves and Evra on at the same time means great attacking football, but that could cause problems on defence. And they're both kind of short, not good against opposing fks and cks...

Can't see Trezegeut coming really.
As for our defence, its been normal to have one proper winger-type full back (evra) and 3 others who don't venture up too much, in this case Brown. So we don't fall short at the back.

I do think he'd be good though, how old is he now? 29 or 30? He's got a lot of experience at the very top level (World Cup/European Champs finals/Champions League) so would be good for the younger players and would probably offer a few goals as well.
Saha's gotta go though, he's brilliant when he's fit but I dont think he'll ever be 100%, it's like he's made out of glass.
