I think he was referring to the last two premier league trophies and the champions league.

I had a dream last night that Luis Figo signed for us for one year.
I've been thinking about it today and it might not be such a bad idea. Sure, he's 35 but he could play 20-30 games same as Giggs and Scholes. He might also keep Ronaldo happy and would be a great teacher for the youngsters.
What do you think?

Bad idea...might disrupt the harmony at United.What made you think Ronaldo isnt happy now? He is learning well now and dosent need a washed up 'legend' to teach him a thing or two.His status has now surpassed Figo.

Figo is too old and isn't half the player he used to be. Nice idea but no thanks, we're Man United not AC Milan.

I want to see a bright young striker brought in the summer and maybe a defender but THAT'S IT. I don't want unnecessary signings as our current crop of champions will only get better.

Be icing on the cake if we can hang on to Ronny, it will be like signing a new player all in itself.

Yeh it will be. no one can say he isn't the best player in the world. Can't believe we let go of one of the best young CB in the world go, in the end obviously we couldnt have done much since he wanted to go but a real shame to see Pique go, hope he does well in Spain. Still rumours of Alves/Fabiano double would love it to happen but as we have seen lately the papers don't really now who were going for lately as were keeping transfer news in house.

So true. Just a couple of days ago, two journalist from spanish newspapers "As" infiltrated the hotel where the national team is, under the cover of being part of TVI. TVI is the station that will broadcast the teams games during the EURO, and both TVI and "As" are part of the group PRISA.

If this isn't unethical, what is?



Figo, well great player, but can't stand the bench.
Like he said yesterday about Inter. "If I don't play, It's better to be at home"
I admire this, but, it might hurt a team's harmony.

I'm sad to see Pique go, I think he'll progress and become a great defender but for his own sake it's a good move.

Central defence is not a position that can be rotated too often as a strong partnership needs to be forged and with Rio & Vida in his way there was little chance of him getting many games. We've got at least another 4-6 years of that partnership and by which time Pique would be reaching his prime with his career passing him by and that's not what he would deserve.

I hope he does well.

I've heard that Barcá have slapped a £40m buy out clause into Pique's contract, must rate him very highly.

They might rate him highly, but not because of that. They do that to every player they buy.

£40million? Good, that means we won't ever buy him back.

Hopefully the name Huntelaar will pop up in the tabloids, and motivate us to do something about signing him.

Im gutted Pique has left he was a player with so much promise. Maybe this will mean Evans has a chance of staying.

Supposedly we've been linked with Dani Alves, Luis Fabiano, and Micah Richards today. Who would you have out of the 3.

Dani Alves- He'd have to be my first choice, the guy is just an amazing talent and he would complete the right flank.

Micah Richards- Top class player, but if we are gunna sign Dani Alves then whats the point of bringing in Micah? He wouldn't get much time playing at centre back with the formidable partnership in Vida and Rio. I'd only go for him if Dani Alves is out of reach.

Luis Fabiano- Still unsure on him. Is he a one season wonder? I think bringing in some one with a better track record. I would love to bring in Villa as he could be an option. Benzema would be my preferred option but there is very little chance that will go through as he wants to stay at Lyon for another season.

What about you?

Real Madrid's president said that they will not pursue Ronaldo since ManUtd made it very clear that they will not sell.
Seems threats works.

Micah is class and all but i think as a right back Alves is better. Micah is better as a centre back but saying that he is good at RB too, i just don't know.

Just heard that Amauri has agreed to sign for Juventus after passing his medical...which brings to mind...what if we bid for David Trezeguet? Has bags of experience,big and strong,a natural target man and finisher in the box.Ole Solskjaer's legend number 20 shirt would be an honour for Trezeguet if he were to come to us.What do you lot think?

Nice thought there Phrase completely agree, he would be a excellent signing but if he left Juve it would probably be for 1st team football and we couldn't guarantee him that when other big clubs could.
