Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

John Terry is going to start making is own brand of vodka - and like him it's bottled in Russia.

Samaritans are offering counselling to all Chelsea fans. Call 0800 101010 – that’s 08000 won nothing won nothing won nothing.

And If that line gets too busy there is another number to call: 0800 6-5 6-5 6-5.

More rumours that Ron may still leave, whats with him going back and forth? last night he said TWICE he's going to stay and today its back to "im not sure" :(

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Real Madrid are the only ones with sufficient cash to get him.

RM president said that no player should be forced to stay on a team, maybe meaning that a proposal has been made but the club is refusing.

Honestly, I won't be surprised, and maybe it's the right decision. It's going to be almost impossible to better this season. He'll win the Ballon D'or, and the Player of the Year. Top scorer in the league, top scorer in Europe. Broke Best's record, and has won the double. What's there to achieve for him now? Ronaldinho won the double, and after that, just lacked the hunger, and faded away. Maybe the time is right for Ronaldo to move.

Treble anyone? (not the Disney sponsored one :-pp)

EDIT: There are not many teams as good as Man Utd, so I guess he won't shine at much at Madrid?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

congrats guys!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

It sounds like his agent has struck up some sort of personal deal with someone, most likely with Real Madrid, and now it's basically up to Cristiano to convince Fergie to let him go, which I imagine Sir Alex would be very reluctant to do!

He doesn't want to say yes or no for sure incase it doesn't work out and he looks like a traitor and in my opinion he's doing a very bad job of playing his cards close to his chest.

Maybe we should let him go, I reckon we could easily demand anywhere from £50m up to £90m for him, which would leave us the funds to replace him with.

I thought him and Ruud hated each other anyway? Hows that gonna work?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I dont really care if they offer us £150million for him. Who are we supposed to get to replace him? There's no one in the world that will give us what he does and buying 2-3 top players at £50million each probably wouldnt fully replace him either. I'd probably trade him for Messi cuz I can imagine his raw talent turning him into an amazing player in the future (not that he's bad right now) but he doesnt have the connection with the fans that Ronaldo has right now after we stuck by him after the World Cup.
The impression I'm getting from Ronaldo is that he'll be with us next year but thats his last season with us. I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I hope you are, Man Utd haven't had a "best player in the world" kind-of player for a long time!

All hail Lord Ferguson!!

I hadnt realise before that the CL trophy is as big as the Premiership Trophy!!

Shit me...I'm still in the clouds...wore my United scarf to work today.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Today he gave a HUGE hint that he's staying, he's gonna get a new deal which will give him a ridiculous amount of money, as some of you said it would be impossible replacing Cristiano, its not just how good he is its his connection with us fans and everyone, couldnt imagine going to Old Trafford and not hearing "VIVA RONALDO" every 5 minutes, :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I hope our newest trophy can insipre young players and stars alike to join us.

Players like Tevez,Nani,Anderson and Hargreaves won the big double in only their first season and they played big parts in them without question.

Carrick and Park came in and won the lot too...they were arguably average players playing in contender teams prior to joining us,no disrespect to Spurs and PSV whatsoever.

Our squad rotation is better than the other big 3 in the Premiership and we do give chances to young players to prove their worth with the first team.

And so many had already knew...the owners, directors, management at United do not interfere directly with the manager.Sir Alex runs this team and let the PLC run the business part.

So I hope we do send a positive message across the world.JOIN US.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I really don't see why the best player in the world would want to leave the best team in the world!

THATS why i DON'T want him to win the World Best Player Award. He wins it and will never play the same way since he already acomplished his objectives in football, and since winning the European or even the World Cup with Portugal is Out of question, he has done everything he planned for his career. If this happens it will just go downhill from here and its stupid since he is too young and has a long career in front of him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

I very much doubt that. I'd put my house on Ronaldo maintaining his current standards. he isn't the playboy character such as Ronaldinho, under SAF he has been developing nicely every year and i dont expect that to change,(Yet i don't think he would be as affective at another club as he is with us)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

Who shot Ballack?

You could tell he wanted to win so bad, he was almost trying too hard throughout the game, he had the most shots out of both teams I think and wasted most of them. I think he thought after missing out with Leverkusen, he may never get another chance to win it, but it got to him and in the end hindered his performance.

Nice pics Hawkster :DD

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!

:DD Brilliant stuff, when JT missed it was brilliant just like 9 nears ago "NAME ON THE TROPHY" came to mind. Ballack did ok he didnt have the best of games but neither did alot of players.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - 68' 99' 08' European Champions!!!!!!!!
