Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

PSG & Marseille are the teams I WANT to challenge Lyon TG. Lyon have dominated for FAR TOO long which is why I don't watch Ligue 1 anymore.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Dags you really need to get out more. :)

WOOHOO! Another attack on me! :EASY: Is this what we get treated to when Utd get beat and you "defend" your team by attacking everyone who dares to post in the Utd thread with the MILDEST hint of critisism? :lmao:

Roll on more Utd defeats then :D

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Show me the constructive critism and I'll eat my words Dags. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Could be a lot of eating for you in the next few days if we beat Inter over the two legs ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Blue and Abhishek have gave constructive critisism, as well as I feel by saying that you had the chances and if you don't put them away then you're likely to be punished.

None of those are digs, or mockery, or any form of laughing. They're all saying the same, you had chances and didn't take them. That's football. Want me to pass the ketchup? ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Pretty soon we've got Everton, Utd and Arsenal on the run. If that's not the hardest run of games in the league, I don't know what is. I hope our run of form continues onto those games because we'll definately need some form.

I'd be gutted though if we beat Arsenal and hand Utd the title :(

Fair enough mate - I ALWAYS appreciate yours, Peter's, Abishek and Clockender's input because you ACTUALLY know what you are talking about. It was the childish digs from some "other" members. But I suppose you have to take the bad times with the good. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Exactly, and everyone knows we've had our share of bad times this season

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Mate, the Liverpool thread was a constant "Haha you're crap!" bandwagon before you got your Inter result so I respect you guys for putting up with that shit.

It's the lads that come into here with nothing intelligent or constructive to say that make me laugh. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Utd were unfortunate but thats the way it goes sometimes. When its not your day its best just to keep your chin up and move on.

Hopefully this defeat will knock you off course in the title race for a bit, that can happen, it has to us.

In truth though this will probably help you ultimately focus on the CL and Prem cos they are more important.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Good post mate and I do agree, it can go ONE of two ways.

In my opinion, we WILL bounce back, we ALWAYS do.

Only thing that hurts is that it's yet ANOTHER defeat at Old Trafford this season which is usually a fortress for us. :(

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I hope not! You did us 1-0 last year though...... :(

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

All is not bad today! WHAT A DAY for the neutral! The FA Cup has rediscovered it's magic today. AT LEAST we all don't have to watch another BORING United - Chelsea final.

I PRAY for a Portsmouth v Barsnley final - they both deserve a final at Wembley. :applause:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I reckon going out of the FA Cup will make your favourites for the CL....and the league.

But I'm happy you're out. I wouldn't be able to stomach another treble for yous lot.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Mate that treble was a one-off (like England winning the World Cup ;) ). I hate it when pundits constantly go on about Chelsea's "Quadruple" when they haven't even won the European Cup yet let alone ALL four trophies! Wankers.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

We do have the squad BUT the cliche has rung very true today: You NEED that bit of luck in football. Today we had NONE.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I think the Pompey fans deserve a Portsmouth Supporters Thread for beating us at Old Trafford today, just a pity that there are very few Pompey fans on here. :TD: @Mike, no need to bash the French league, I quite enjoy watching it when I've got the chance. :SMOKIN:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I laugh at all the people saying Pompey deserved it. This was one of the funniest matches I ever saw. United missed about 50 unmissable chances and Pompey got about 1.

So of course Man United deserved. But somehow they lost. And Pompey needed a few miracles for that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I was just going to say something along those lines. Pompie deserved nothing, but they won.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I could see from a mile away all yall Arsenal and Pool fans rushin in here to spit after the final whistle! Your sorry arses were itching to have a go at us since you got DUMPED in the last round rite? People can be so predictable at times, its crazy. :censor:

I said it on my last post that Pompey will make it hard for us and they did.Their backline was superb, played their socks off.Credits to them for that and with fact, they deserved to win.

Having said all that, its unfair to say that the lads did not gave their all.We tried but you know its not your day when easy chances are not converted. We are not clinical enough.I am amused that we tried crossing the ball in without any real air threat in the box.ALL of the Pompey backline was taller than our attacking players! We could have used someone big in there today,a plan B like Abhishek said. Our plan B today was to cramped up the 3rd half of the pitch by fielding in an extra midfielder in Anderson.Obviously it did not worked as they have parked a bus in there but it was our ONLY best option.

I got no comments about most of the refereeing decisions,Sir Alex has made A LOT in his post match interviews.Might get him into trouble with the upper people. :TD:

At the end of the day,I felt we got mugged to be honest.Chances after chances gone begging and I felt we should have played for a replay.Didnt happen and we got knocked out.Gotta move on now and concentrate on the Premiership and the Champions League.
:SMOKIN:

It's Bordeaux's year :EASY:

Laurent Blanc = Genius!

Sorry for OT :((

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Seriously, losing to Pompy is not a big deal! I still can't believe Barnsley knocked out Chelsea! It will be sooo refreshing to see these sides at Wembley! This is what the FA Cup is all about!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

It IS a big deal Bhai...The FA cup is the biggest Cup in england and is second to the Premiership trophy. We had a big chance to go all the way this season after that performance against Arsenal.Even drawing a Premiership for the 10th time in a row is not a problem until Portsmouth.

I'm gutted really.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

They didn't deserve to win, but you must admit that their defending was heroic.

Any other day though or with a lucky deflection and you would have humped them 4-0
