I can't believe we lost that... but I suppose WE do that to teams sometimes. Oh well... If I had to choose a game to lose before the end of the season, it would have been that one.

Well done to Pompey but from our point of view a few things need addressing.
First of all as the front man Rooney has got to score more goals and put himself in a position to score more goals. Secondly if the midfield is performing well enough then just leave them be rather than rotating every damn week. My preference would be Anderson/Carrick.

I thought the ref was rubbish today. Made too many wrong decisions with corners, throw ins, our penalty claims and also the red card.
But even then, their penalty was a fair one so I guess they deserved the victory. Pompey's backline were brilliant today especially Glen Johnson. Us on the other hand couldnt get into gear. We saw bits of us at our best but it wasnt enough. I notice all our players fight harder now but we're losing a bit of flair.
I can see this season finishing like last year now. At one point we were looking for the treble but we ended with one trophy. I have a feeling it'll happen again.

Ferguson whinging again. Cracking manager but eff me a terrible sore loser.
You should never have lost at home today but it happens. And for the record before anyone bangs on about Martin Atkinson and refereeing justice, he's the plonker who turned down a few blatent Torres pens against Reading and called a few dodgy decisions for us against Arsenal in the league cup.

Lets not blame refs, players, conditions etc.
Pompey were amazing today - their attitude was spot-on, their formation worked effectively and they scored the goal. Congrats lads, fantastic result and I hope you win the Cup.
Before any Liverpool, Arsenal & Juventus supporters get carried away, please remember these two simple things:
For the gloating Arsenal supporters: 4 - 0
For the gloating Liverpool supporters: Barnsley
For the gloating Juventus supporters: You paid refs & cheated to win matches. You are a disgrace to World Football.
ThomasGOAL - You're obsession with United & English football is fascinating. For someone who hates the English game, you seem to watch every fixture. Do I give a fuck about the French Cup? No! When were the last time Marseille won a title? I can't remember. There is only one team in France & that's Lyon who are very overrated. I don't even check Marseille's results on a weekly basis and do you know why? I don't care about Marseille!

I'm just replying to the supporters who laughed at today's result Dags. I would NEVER laugh at another club for getting knocked out of the FA Cup by a very good PREMIERSHIP side.
Believe me, I could do the "we should of been awarded a penalty -or- we never draw lower league teams like Barnsley" but I didn't.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if it's Barnsley or Portsmouth, if you have a lot of chances and don't take them, it'll nearly always end up in tears. As both Liverpool and Utd have found out.

Clockender - I can handle defeat well. At the end of the day, Portsmouth played well - what's the point in looking for excuses.
Dags - I gotta love that "It doesn't matter if it's Barnsley OR Portsmouth" bollocks. L'pool spent a FORTUNE on players in the summer & should NOT be losing to teams from lower divisions AT home.

As an information, I like watching United for Evra, one of my favourite player. Also it's a team I like since my childhood (Cantona, Beckham...).
Now the only thing I don't understand is how you rate Lyon as "very overrated". Please explain how you came to this conclusion.

Basically he's lashing out at everyone in an attempt to deflect the attention away from the game today and start different conversations.
