Manchester United Thread

Premiership is get extremely interesting right know, am quite confident we can get top after sundays results , im actually very confident Chelsea can atleast get a point from Arsenal, Arsenal will play alot better Chelski than we did and they have a great record against them in recent seasons, Liverpool will be tough, hopefully we turn up on the day

I'm in awe of his ability, but he's up there with the biggest pieces of scum that ever stepped onto a football field in my book with antics like this.

But seriously, Ronaldo needs to stop this. Fergie is always defending him in the media but Ronaldo isn't really helping him. :(

He really needs to stop doing that and start playing football like he knows.
But its interesting that, Ronaldo is in the PES2008 game cover but he wasn't in the previews games, maybe its because this one you can use the simulation thing and the other you couldn't. Maybe. ;)

So what, he bought a penalty? Hundreds of footballers do it week-in, week-out but because he is in the spot-light all the time it gets picked up more. What about our beloved English Steve Gerrard? He likes the odd dive.

Obviously I know that he's not the only one but I think players who dive need to take a look at themselves. Young people will learn from them and so more younger players who come in the future are gonna start diving and it will probably become accepted as part of the game. Sometimes I don't think footballers realise the responsibility they have. However, on the other side of the scale there are footballers who are good role models, like Giggsy and Scholesy at United. So I'm basically saying players should do more to kick out the bad elements of football, like Ronaldo and the other divers, like Barton and the other hot-headed footballers. :)

Players use tactics to fool the ref if the fish bites then you hook it. Don`t talk about moral in football leave that to the parents not Popstars, Actors ,Sports-players etc. ffs! Don`t hate the player hate the game...

Doesn't make it right though does it?

That's the modern game I'm afraid mate. The moment our clubs started realising that foreign players were actually better (and cheaper) than our own home-grown talent was the moment that they also brought the darker side of their game here i.e. diving. They have been doing it in Serie A since the 70s but no-one seems to complain.

Ronaldo is selfish in the penalty issue.I felt he should have left it for Tevez for his first United hattrick. Its not like we needed another goal.I would love it if somebody else took it off Ronaldo in a match where he got a penalty to seal his very first United hattrick.

Having said that,Sir Alex takes the laidback approach to the issue when being interviewed by MUTV.Cristiano is the designated penalty taker and its important to have his confidence maintained at a high level too.

I see Boruc is unsettled - now there's a long term successor to EVDS. The man is a beast, if I were Fergie I'd be on a plane up there right now, with Kuscak bound, gagged and with a bow on top in exchange with some cash. I really rate Foster, but who knows if he'll recover (or how long it'll take!) from a serious injury, and Boruc is good enough right now.

Thoughts on Wes Brown?

I'd like Wes to stay. He's made it very tough for Gary Neville to get back in the side when he's fit. Also like the way he never bottles out of a challenge (prob why he was always injured before!). There have been rumours about Hutton coming in if he goes, but I don't know enough about him to say whether he'd be a good choice...

Boruc could be a good signing, but Foster is likely to be no.1 in the next year or so, so can't see him signing as an understudy. Jaaskelainen would be a more likely option as he's out of contract this summer?

Yeah Wes is great, tbh i think we need to forget about Neville, i really cant see him coming back, i hope im wrong but its looking that way

I always knew that we should have given Giggsy the club captaincy when Keano left. With all Neville's injury problems and the great performances Brown has shown lately plus Danny Simpson is on the brink of being a regular,I think its time for him to step down.

Anyway..check out the team we sent out to Rome.
The complete squad: Kuszczak, Heaton, Brown, Eckersley, O''Shea, Pique, Evans, Simpson, Lee, Chester, Cleverley, Hewson, Nani, Eagles, Carrick, Fletcher, Dong, Brandy, Saha, Rooney.

Virtually its the reserves plus a few from the first team..and yah,Wayne Rooney will lead the team.
