Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

If he does nothing else except harrass defenders to make space for others he'll do okay.

Who? Dong? I'd say give him a chance too.He has a good frame and is quite speedy.I thought he would be given some game time against Spurs but that didnt materialise. As reported,Saha could make it on the bench this today but thats what they reported for the game against Spurs too.No news on Anderson either.

Okay so hes on the bench.

Where is the striker whos starting? This is a joke tbh. Struggled in all 3 gaes scoring. Play Saha for 60-70 mins ffs

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

I think Ferguson has made a mistake in not signing a world class striker in the last year and in this transfer window and I think as a result Man Utd will lose the league title and struggle in Europe- probably get no further than the quarter finals.

I hope you do win the league but I can't see it happening unless you have Saha fit until Christmas and then sign a striker when the transfer window opens up again. The same goes for Europe- I don't think you can do anything without extra firepower in the next transfer window.

If I am wrong people are welcome to remind me off that and I'll acknowledge it, equally though I will remind people of what I said if I am proved right.

I agree with you. This is gonna come back to hurt us.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Just to add;

I'm unequivically NOT gloating.

I want Man Utd to win the title because you are better to watch than Chelsea and I don't want Liverpool to win the title and I don't think Arsenal (also good to watch) can win it.

Also I am not gloating because as an Evertonian I know full well that if I could swap our respective problems, I would do so in a heartbeat.

Wow, i think we need a striker but i think Fergie is looking for someone that will be a long term buy, so with the options he had of Defoe, Anelka, and maybe Adriano i really dont blame him to buying a striker this window simply because i dont see anyone that would be a "good" signing but more for the fact of just having a new striker and saying here you go, i think Fergie will wait for January if not the end of the season to bring in a World Class forward such as , Huntulaar, Et'o(either him or Ronniedinho will be leaving) or David Villa,

On the other hand simply saying we will not win the league and not challenge in europe is simply too soon to say anything we could possibly still win 4 trophies, i think when Ronaldo, Rooney, Saha are all back with Tevez i think the goals will start flowing in i dunno if we will win the league or not but i dont see firepower a issue i hope i am right but only time will tell:)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Injury barring, we have a good squad. I do think Saha can last until the next window. Knowing Fergie, i don think he will be bringing someone world class striker but someone unknown or a proven surprise like a Larrson last season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Same old crap against Sunderland.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Good to see Saha back. Hopefully, he can stay fit this season as we're gonna need him with the few strikers we've got. Disappointed to hear that some United fans left early even though we were leading with ten minutes left. However, we'll need to play much better if we're going to beat Chelsea next up.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Well, I slate him and I slate him, and he proves to be our saviour. At least we have a runner and a header winner now, and once we get Ronaldo back...

Here is a photo I took in the Nou camp in 99 that some of you lads might like. I was working with the ITV commentary team at the time and they signed the back of it...take a look.

P.S

Clive Tyldesley is a bit of a tit...don't end up in his company for more than 5 hours like I did :lmao:

Best photo of all time for me really though is this;

This of course means nothing to you Man Utd fans (hope you like the other photos).

This photo is the essence of pure undiluted skill that comes from being the hardest man to ever pull on a shirt. Coooooomee ON!!!! \\:o/

I dare anyone to not click on that photo and have a closer look without laughing their arse off.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

These one nilers arent half making United look like Chelsea!

Anyway I think when these new players click it will look alot better. Its very difficult for Tevez at the moment playing upfront on his little self. Im sure when Rooney comes back he will be ok, but it will be intresting who starts now Sahas back. Saha very much looked like the missing piece when he came on a couple of long balls up to him in which he used his excellent control and got a very decent effort saved thing looked much better with him

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

It reminds me of a couple of seasons ago when we had similar possession but just couldn't score goals.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

we won :lmao: seems like you wanted us to draw:roll:

Whatever mate before Saha came on it was the same old crap. If you couldnt see that your blind. Everybody can see that without Saha we played crap.

Deal with it. If he gets injured even with Rooney back we wont scored that many goals. Rooney can play there but thats not his position.

Lets hope hes injury free until January at least. The game was dire in the first half.

Saha did change the game once he was brought on and hats off to Sir Alex for that.Tevez played at his natural position, just off Saha and that created problems for the Sunderland backline.

The international break came at the right time for us and Rooney has been reported not too far off from a surprise comeback.Scrappy win but at times like these,we are taking it anyhow.

We didnt play great but you gotta look at we've brought in 4 new players and they ALL started yesterday so oviously thats going to take time for them to gel, also we had Saha back who scored so he should start next game and also Rooney and Ronaldo will BOTH be back next game so i dont see why your complaining if we didnt win then fair enough but right know with all the changes we should take a win untill everyone is settled

Why rush Rooney? Keep him for Chelsea game.

i dont see how that is rushing him he can play 20-minutes then can play 45 minutes against Sporting and start him against Chelsea i wouldnt call that rushing him at all

Maybe as he fractured his toe. Do that again & hes out even longer then what?

3 weeks when the diagnosis was 6-8.No need really

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Did anyone hear the Sunderland fans singing "You'll never walk alone" on Saturday?
They decided to be clever after the game and sing it outside the stadium in front of the United fans, behind the safety of a police barricade of course.

A*seholes....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Ole "The Legend" Retires!!

Wouldnt worry about it... they will get relegated and we will be there or there abouts as usual... :) let them sing a song about a completely different club.
