hahaha....money won from the league off to the new player's old clubs! LOL....not bad...

but still not too sure on Tevez, don't like his character at all...hopefully under SAF, he can be better...he does have skills and such, but not THAT big of a fan of him....

have just recieved an email from a friend who says this info was leaked & sent to him earlier this evening from his source at Manchester United - Ive spoken with 2 colleagues in the last 10 minutes and they have got it too.

Its not good

It says -
A joint statement will be made by Manchester United & Kia Joorabchian in the next 24 hours regarding the future of Carlos Tevez.
Due to the complexity that surrounds any potential permanent transfer regarding Carlos Tevez, the rules prohibit the said player being sold & transfered on a permanent basis to Manchester United for at least 12 months, this is due to the unique current situation the said player finds himself in regarding ownership.
Therefore it has been agreed by all relevant parties that Carlos Tevez will be loaned to Manchester United on the basis of an initial 12 month loan deal, that will then lead to the £30Million transfer being made permanent & concluded in the following months.

So what? You said Chelsea won the league with money and you didn't!

Spending near on £90 million on those 4 players who were in your team that won the league last season would pretty much prove that money was a factor. There is no way you can say that you won the league without money, thats just a joke!!

Just because most of your players buggered off to bigger clubs doesn't mean you didn't spend the money in the first place.

We have spent money Granted. But not over £150 million in the course of one summer! thats what RuneEdge is getting at. That bought them the title that season basically... and also ruined Shaun Wright Phillips's England potential....

Its a fairly easy argument to defend manu's spending vs chelsea. You just have to take a larger timescale, something runeedge's post didnt seem to contain.

Firstly they have generated a huge amount of money through succes (a balance of good buys and a great youth team) and good marketing, chelsea on the other hand "won" the title after going so far into debt that they needed to sell the club and managed to attract a billionair. Who subsequently financed a whole new team being bought. Which then "won" the league. There's a big difference. One has succes through history, good management and good football, the other by being in debt and ending up a plaything.

However, manu's spending this summer is very excessive. Although theyve only bought one player that will likely be a regular (hargreaves) the rest are youth or backup (kuszciak). And if the tevez thing goes ahead they will have bought 2 first team players. Still not a lot really, just huge sums being spent.

If liverpool spend another 30mil on 2 wingers they will have signed 3 first team players, more then manu from that perspective. But then its needed :D

youth? you honestly thin nani and anderson are going to be youth players? those guys were regulars for two teams in the champions league last year. I expect both anderson and nani to be the first guys comming in for scholes and giggs/ronaldo. They have both pushed the likes of richardson(out hopefully),park, and ole out of the pecking order when sir alex looks down the bench...

Carloz Tevez to join Manchester United subject to a medical taking place today in Venezuela (Argentina's Training camp for Copa America) for an initial 2 year Loan Deal which United have the option to buy him for a further 3 years after that...

i'll welcome Tevez but he's far too much like Rooney.

If we assume Saha isn't gonna be fit for most of the season then we need a spear head for our attack. someone we can play the ball long to, will win headers and push the oppostion defence towards their goal. Tevez isn't going to do that, that isn't his natural position, he likes to drop deep and have the ball to feet.

Berbatov would be a perfect fit and although WE HAVE TRIED TO GET HIM this summer it looks very unlikely he's coming.

Rooney and Tevez would be an effective partnership in 75% of prem matches but on big european nights and against the big boys of the premiership we'd be too one dimensional and found out.

i'd even go as far to say i would've taken Anelka over Tevez.

a prediction though, Ferguson will experiment using C.Ronaldo as the spear head of our attack.

I didnt mean youth team, but players that will play a marginal role the coming couple of seasons with a view to becoming regulars while giggs and scholes end their careers.

And read the context of my post, i said hargreaves will be a regular with the other 3 being youth(future 1st teamers) and backup (for injuries) players, meaning they wont be first team regulars, not that hard to understand surely?

2year loan is a great bit of business by SAF. If hes crap he will go if hes a hit we will buy him.

Just found this on the West Ham shop, I was wondering if I could loan it off them for the next couple of years. But seriously the funniest bit, it's available for delievery from the 10/7/07, great, just in time for his delivery to Man Utd then probably..................
