Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

p.s. It's Barrera and I didn't know he plays for Chivas as well. I thought it was some other club.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Glad to see Hamsik is doing his best to drive down his price so we can sign him.

He's been seriously dissapointing, but perhaps that's what we need, bad performances knocking a few million off him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'd like to see us take a look at Samir Handanovic, based mostly on yesterdays game, but I've heard good things about him.

Only 25..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I don't think you'd want him. He has amazing super reflexes with Udinese, but he's the type of goalie with slippery hands.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fair enough, was a completely uneducated statement from me, based only on the England game, thought he was very impressive in that game. I bought him on FM at least. :P

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I don't think he'd cut it for United. Against Spain was the first time I'd seen him play with so much hunger, which I think came from national pride. He's a bit of a light weight from what I've seen at Udinese, and you guys have Valencia and Nani who are more complete.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Valencia I agree with, but Nani is inconsistent imo. When he's mentally fit he looks like world player of the year product, but when he's down he's just useless. Maybe he's moody, but he's got to be better than that at United.

That Sanchez player looked good in the WC til now. Maybe he's trying to perform his best to leave Udinese :P

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wouldnt say Nani is still inconsistant. His consistancy has greatly improved and I think this coming season is where he must prove it and show he's not the player people have believed he is.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah with him coming good in recent months, next season will be key to prove his worth and truly get 'established'. But unlike some of you, I don't necessarily have that much faith in him. I think he could easily go back to good ol' inconsistent Nani. But hey at least he looks hungrier and more useful than Anderson.

As for Handanovic, he's shown his slippery hands even in this World cup! Good goalie. Great reflexes, still young. I like him. But yeah even in this World cup alone, Slovenia have had a couple dangerous moments against them and one goal conceded purely on his fault. Then again just about every keeper so far apart from Benaglio has made a lot of mistakes and shown slippery hands. Even consistent experienced Pro's like Schwarzer! So can't really blame him with WC pressure and new ball, etc.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I just hope his absence from the World Cup hasn't negatively affected him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Still not sure what happened with Nani and Portugal, I think he proved in the last 4-5 months he's got enough about him to be one of the best wingers out there. hopefully it wasn't something he started taking that made the improvement:JAY:

Mesut Ozil, Sign him up. Theirs little chance of us getting him know with the amount of exposure he's gotten but what a talent, fantastic play-maker and exactly what were missing.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Great goal by hernandez,im really looking forward to this guy.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Me too. Legend in the making.

Hernandez-vs-Tevez.gif

Take that Heinze!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Hernandez looks VERY good. Hungry and ambitious! Have yet to see him in a match where he disappointed. And wow he even seems to be decent in the air!

I think he might be a lot better than most fans initially thought and though it's still too early to properly judge, he definitely looks far more dangerous than the likes of Diouf, Welbeck and even Macheda.

Looking forward to seeing him link up with Rooney and co. next year in what will undoubtedly provide some excellent one-two's, movement, pace and finishes.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

:LMAO: at the gif
Hernandez looks great, quick, good shot and can jump high for someone of that size.agreed I cant wait to see him next to rooney.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Pushing Heinze off the pitch has already made me absolutely love him, but the turn and finish was lovely, and glad to see he's not dissapointed when given his start.

Granted he didn't do too much because he didn't have much service, but he won plenty of headers, was a willing runner and you can tell if he plays in a better team he'll be a very good player.

Cannot wait to see him in our colours and see what he can learn from Ole and Mickey Owen.

Interestingly enough though, his two goals at this WC have come whilst he's been playing a supporting role, so play him behind Rooney and see what they can do?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Hernanadez won`t feature much his game is much different and needs to adapt if I`m honest. I think the following season he`ll be ready. I`m expecting to see diouf and kiki featuring more . Rooney n Benzema upfront will be back to business. Any word on him signing up I know saurez said he would love mutd move.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I can see him playing in the League Cup and scoring for fun.

Perhaps it's knee-jerk, cock out thinking but you can see it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Fabiano wants to come here also. Hernandez has looked a great option of the bench though. Not sure Owen really has a future here if he can show he's the real deal.

Maybe Owen can teach Little Pea a thing or two before hanging up his boots....

I really like the sound of Sanchez and Fabiano wanting to come to us too..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So Rooney, Owen, Berba, Kiko, Hernandez. That's 5 there.
We might as well sell Wellbeck and Diouf cuz we need all the money we can get. I'm more than happy with the 5 above.
If we're gonna get Fabiano, we're gonna have to get rid of either Owen and Berba. I'd prefer it to be Owen cuz we already have Hernandez but Berba would be a lot easier to sell.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We're linked with Alex Sanchez and Wes Sneijder today...We could do with a few more shorties in the team...whatever works right these days? The chokers got David Silva already with Yaya Toure next...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Sanchez you never know but Sniejder is as likely as Messi after the season he just had.

The windows officially open and if I'm honest I'm glad we've missed out on Silva, I think he'll struggle for a season and take time to settle.

I think we need to add creativity to the centre of the pitch, hopefully with the window now officially open we'll see but I did think we would have finished our business before the WC ended but we'll have to see.

When is SAF officially back from his holiday?
