Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.
First off, with the latest Ribery comments, can anyone think back 2 months ago, and have imagined that Real Madrid will play a front line of:
-Ronaldo-Kaka-Ribery-
-------Benzema-------
I mean, good lord, that's pure and utter FM stuff there. I think Fergie is being smart, one of those players (not to mention, deep breath, Higuain, Raul, RVN, Sneijder, Robben, Huntelaar, VDV and so forth) are going to get seriously miffed. So we can maybe pick them up on the cheap next season

And keep our $80m getting interest in the bank!
I have a weird feeling that Fergie is relishing this. As I've said before, no one wins the league 4 times in a row, so in a sense we've not got massive pressure from that front. We have a host of young players who need blooding, and if he believes in them, will get a great chance this year. The only sour note will be if Liverpool (finally) wins the title, which they look good to do, but hey, 1 in 20 isn't something to really write home about. Particularly if it's only made possible by a Real Madrid one time phenomenom of hoovering up the best talent in the world to one big dysfunctional squad.
That said I don't believe Welbeck and Macheda are good enough to be playing every week at OT. Which they'd have to be, because our strikers can't play every match for 90 mins. I would be pretty surprised by Owen, but can see at dirt cheap on a pay as you go basis why he'd be useful. A bit Ole-esque in use, but central.
