Manchester United Thread

I love all the banter with the Arsenal fans especially Clockender, I think hes a good member of the forum

It would be shite if this forum were all Man United fans!

Yeah, especially as 80% of the United "supporters" here have never even been to a United game.

OK OK OK OK ....> "3 against 2 in Manchester Uniteds favour.....heres alan Smith...ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEY!! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT KNOW, ARSENAL ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 49" :( sorry just had to do it

Plan M we`ve heard you , no one denies those claims yes both are on top form but only 1 can be on top. I hope Chelsea stays at bay

Don't say that..it will get you in trouble.

I supported Man Utd in Barcelona in 99 in the Camp Nou...Evertonian YES....I still worse a Man Utd shirt that night.

I supported our team in Europe.

It was a privilege to be along with so many brilliant Man Utd supporters that night….I say night, it started with that but we were sleeping near the docks in Barcelona (we had a hotel but never got there) after drinking chatin and havin a laugh with Manchester lads till 5am. The Munich supporters that night were absolutely AMAZING as well- all credit.

Anyone in here but that slapstick Dermot for me.He just wastes the bandwidth here with is nonsensical stories.I dont even think he is a real football fan to begin with.

You are okay vanzandt but at times I feel you just try to hard.Chill brother...

United news, kind of.....The legend England goalkeeper,Peter Shilton actually believes that the best current young english goalkeeper is Ben Foster. The United custodian is still currently nursing his knee injury but Shilton believes he will easily be United's number 1 when he is back to full fitness.I say thats a freakin huge compliment.

It wasnt a dig at you. He's just pointing out that the last time you went 49 games unbeaten, you came to Old Trafford and lost. If you go another 49 games unbeaten, you come to Old Trafford again for the 50th game. Just something for people who like to believe in omens. No disrespect or anything.

Rune I like your posts a lot, you have a great passion for your club but I do sometimes wonder what planet you are on!

You call me childish for responding to banter and then you say it wasn't a dig at me? Come on man think about it!

Clock mate your posts are good to read and you make some good points... We will always disagree on something mate but lets continue the good discussions that we have :) Arsenal are a great side, ive got lots of respect for them and Wenger has done an excellent job with the players he has obtained. You guys are doing well and deserve to be top... .(for now!) he he. Plan M get us some tickets mate! im going to Old Trafford in January ( for my birthday ) to watch United v Portsmouth but id love to see more games if I can.

if it wasnt for fans that dont live in manchester, United wouldnt be the club they are.... there a worldly club, thats the price you pay when your able to spend $30 million on a player

Plan M...I believe you are better than this...Leave this kind of comments out,I feel offended. :D

Side news, I read somewhere that Sir Alex has eyed Rangers sensation Alan Hutton as a potential replacement for Gary Neville...I've seen him a few times during CL games...has great energy and definitely the potential...wait a minute...we already have that in Danny Simpson!

That actually offended you? Sorry mate, just stating a fact. ;)

Anyway, you can still be a supporter and not go to matches. If you have passion for your club, that's enough in my opinion.

I rarely venture into the football threads because my knowledge of history and stats and whatnot often gets me into "trouble", I'll state my opinion on something and then someone will come along and say I know nothing - which is true, really. I have a subscription to FourFourTwo which I love to read, I watch Tranmere from time to time (I wish I could afford a season ticket but I can't), and I watch Match Of The Day every week. Anything previous to the last few years I will know little about outside of England matches, so am I a real football fan? Who knows. But I just wanted to say...

Brilliant post, and I completely 110% agree with you. If my team played Man United obviously I'd want my team to win, but if I'm English and there is an English team in Europe, then I want the English team to win. I've read stories about how Liverpool and Everton fans used to sit together in the stands... I love that. Most people think I'm stupid but I do, and it's relieving to know that there are others who think the same way.

So, great post, and I salute you sir.

Liverpool and Everton fans will STILL sit together at derbies in this day and age however you'll never see a Spurs & Gooner sitting together or a United and City fan together at a derby, not to my knowledge anyway.

Great move I have to say by Fergie on his latest signing Bingo from Fenerbache, apparently morale was getting a bit low in the United dressing room and Fergie brought in this resilient defensive midfielder with a good left peg to try and lift the spirits.

We've miraculously demolished various bits of Old Trafford as well, fantastic moves by the board \\:o/

When they say he's hungry for the ball they literally mean he's hungry for the ball, don't they? Do they not feed him?

Carlitos Tevez...a natural born entertainer..he plays football,he raps,he dances and he got the looks of a circus clown...above all,he earns more than any of us here...hahahaha.

Thank fuck all this international bollox is nearly done with and we can get back to winning the league again.....

Rooney could be back for the bolton game, which would be a good thing obviously....

but more so cos Tevez doesnt get back till Friday and Saha is too delicate and a bit rusty...

SAF is probley gonna stop vidic from playing for serbia at the weekend, which is fair enough....

We've done okay so far this season, all the focus is on arsenal while we've just gone about our business...

I wonder if The Prem League will do something special for our 10th Title???

Rooney? that mans a miracle! 4 weeks they said - four weeks!

And yet there he is raring to go Saturday - although unfortunately not quite fit in time for England but just right on the money for Bolton and Manchesters continued assault on the premiership.

Anyone with an eye on conspiracy would probably think this was a SAF ploy, daft people! :)

um.

Dermot is a solid gold gay.

What the hell is your problem man? I've never attacked you or called you anything and all I'm doing is having a laugh, or at least trying to have a laugh. Just because you might not find me funny doesn't mean you have to go off and call me gay amongst other things. Football is supposed to be fun and I like the banter between rival supporters, if this is the way I want to send my message out to United fans I will do it that way, i don't see anything wrong with it, its all in good spirits. It clearly rubs you the wrong way or provokes you cause you've reacted to it in such a bad way. Would you rather me come in here full of hatred and write United off like most other people?
