Manchester United Thread

look on the bright side lads, at least we're not liverpool.

Yeah, but at least we're in Europe and have a chance of winning something this year, you've fucked up the league, got knocked out the CL and you ain't gonna beat Arsenal in the cup.

Actualy Man Yoo will have a good chance to come back into the league and defeat Arsenal in the cup. If they beat Arsenal in the league, Chelsea should defeat Wolves on the same night, and the gap will be reduced to 6 points. Remember what happend last season.
Anyway Stasman, i woundt say things liek that about Man Yoo in here, as it isnt constructive.

I don't think they will catch us now, but Chelsea will find it tough with Europe and the league cause Man Utd will only be playing one game a week.

By the way Paddy Power paid out today on Arsenal winning the league, that could be a good omen for you lot.

Football.Bloody Hell.United should have got that second goal,we really should have, cause that would have killed them. Our defence was good enough last nite, thumbs up to them for their effort especially Gary and Wes.My opinion for the Porto goal was down to T.Ho's poor positioning and even that,he made good ground to palm it,but that was the problem. Why the hell he did that for,he should have punched it away from the goal mouth or parry it to the side for a corner.90th min, leading one nil, safety should be a priority.Costly mistake T.Ho,but at 24 he still has a lot to learn and time is on his side.We should have a world class keeper in a couple of seasons in him, rest assured.Poor champions league for us this season,at least last season, this stage,we went out courtesy of Real Madrid not some scum,dirty-tactics using, cheating bunch of footballers from portugal.Good luck to them but I dont think they can go all the way,not in this lifetime.

This arrogance and thinking you are so much superior it's what kill you...

The second goal???? Did you not see that Rudd fouled Ricardo Carvalho???? you only see what you want to see... then the ball got to scholes and he wasn't offside, but God writes good by stray lines...

Portuguese players are cheaters???? You have one of the best portuguese cheaters in your squad and I don't ear you complain... you guys make me sick... where is the british fair play???? ManUtd were outplayed in the 1st game and only luckly lost by 2-1 it should have been 4 or 5, you were totally massacrated, it was a slaughter...

What made me most happy was to see the face of your "sir" fergusson... what an arrogant prick, greedy bastard, a man that can't recognize the merit of the other team and the demerit of their players, players like Keane, a trully cheater, a guy that I cannot call a Man... Who is this guy to criticize anyone (young manutd players) after all the shitty things he as done in is carrer???

GROW UP...

FC PORTO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Go Arsenal for the premiership title

Go Chelsea for the second place...

Man Utd... go to hell you poor loosers

You might want to pop into the Liverpool thread and see some of the 'constructive' comments made by Man Utd fans before you have a go at people for what they post in here...

I've just looked up irony in the dictionary and it says:

"Manchester United losing an important game due to a last minute goal and a dodgy refereeing decision"

Sorry if I hurt you,but this is a United thread,so show your joy somewhere else.Who is Keane to critise Utd young players? He is the club's senior captian, the lieutanent incharge on the field and by far one of the best United player still playing for the club, nuff said.Grow up? Talkin bout maturity? just look at your last few lines, that sums it up.

Unlucky lads!

You really needed to kill off the game at the start of the 2nd half with a second goal. Watching it last night Porto didnt seam a "great" team, they were above average, but not of the class of Real Madrid, Bayern etc. I think they just seemed to want the win a bit more than Man Utd. Most of the Man Utd players just switched off pretty much after Scholes scored and were happy to play out for the 1-0. Similarly Porto didnt do that much in terms of attacking play, but as they were only a goal down there was always a big risk.

Still i guess maybe it will show your board of directors that u need to buy a few more players (esp a defender).

Before we go any furter, I'd just like to offer my lol

As long as Cudicini doesnt get injured Chelsea should be ok. Im still convinced they would have beaten Arsenal in at least one of those two games the other month if that stupid complete clown that is Sullivan hadnt been involved in both games. Chelsea have a massive squad but a crap sub GK has cost them dear this season.

Quote from Porto's manager, after the game.

Mourinho said: 'Sir Alex said congratulations at the end and we shook hands. That's what I like in football.

'Sometimes somebody is incorrect, I have done it before and I will do it again, and sometimes you play with words and try and put some pressure on the opposition but when the last whistle goes it's finished, you shake hands and I am happy with that.

'I was also pleased to see so many Manchester United players in our dressing room afterwards changing shirts and giving congratulations, the Neville brothers were there and some others.'

Nice gesture from the lads,100% sportsmanship.

It wasn't right after the whistle went anyway that he shook hands, as old Mourinho was giving it waldy down the touchline and straight down the tunnel.

i find it funny that those man utd fans shown in the picture above cant even spell their own players names.

What the fuck is it meant to be anyway? Are those foreheads supposed to resemble those fake Konami players "Gigs" and "Scoles"?
It was such a lame attempt to try and correct the first bad spelling.
What a lamewod. Look at him! You're a lamewod! :lmao:

And isn't that Noted Fear in the green at the front!?

For those who believed in MUFC victory since the beginning, for those who believed in second goal story and the lads FCP players, i just say, what do you have in your head?

First game:

MUFC whas a poor team. 3 shots on goal, just one defense for the 'worst GK since Seaman' like some british journalist as posted in a internet site (the same of the lads story???). Defensive game. Lucky score in Porto. And all the rest, defensive play, no shots on goal, more than 60% of possesion for Porto.

That was a great game, for one team that had dominated european (even world) Football? No, no, no...

Second game:

Good 20 minutes in first half. and then? NOTHING, REALLY NOTHING. No football, no RVN, no Midfield. Great defense? defending with 10? Such a powerfull team (as you all MUFC fans said) defending with 10 against a 'Small team' as Porto? That type of game is seen in weaknes teams against bigger team in Portuguese League or other leagues

You all should be ashame of your team. MUFC have deserved this, MUFC fans had deserved this, some English press has deserved this, Roy Keane has deserved this.

Porto was a great team on both legs, much better than MUFC. In all 16 teams in CL, you were the worst. Even Estugarda did better than you.

See you next year

Defender Mikael Silvestre hobbled off in training on Monday, while Eric Djemba-Djemba and Cristiano Ronaldo were hurt against Porto on Tuesday.

Silvestre faces several weeks out with a recurrence of his ankle injury, while midfielder Djemba-Djemba came off at half-time with a suspected broken rib.

Winger Ronaldo will have a scan on Wednesday for thigh and knee knocks.

The champions are facing a critical spell of games following their European failure.

They need to win at the City of Manchester Stadium to keep their Premiership hopes alive.

Ferguson's men take on rivals Arsenal - who are nine points ahead of them in the league - in the FA Cup semi-final on 3 April.

Defeat in both these games would almost certainly leave the Red Devils without any major silverware this season.

Football is such a beautiful game

Bad luck last night boys, those diving sods are going through, and thats that. Few points to make.

Stasman etc - Liverpool haven`t won a proper trophy for YEARS. End of United`s empire? End of Fergie? Get over it. We can`t win the big competitions EVERY YEAR. This ain`t Scotland, there is proper competition. United are constantly under the spotlight - we are a huge force that every team LOVES to beat. Thats what I love about being a United fan, we are the team everyone LOVES to hate. Just like the English rugby team - because they are the world champions, everyone is waiting for them to fall. No-one gives a shite about L`pool these days. Oh, look, its another BIG night on C5, with top-class opposition. You scousers are so jealous of our better players, our bigger stadium, our better manager, our Premiership campaigns etc. You all root for Arsenal to win all the trophies - SUPPORT YOUR OWN TEAM. I never support other teams!???? It`s United and nothing else. I see scousers down the pub most weeks, supporting the team that is playing against United - that is just sad. I would never leave the comfort of my own home, to watch L`pool lose in Europe - I couldn`t give a shite if they win, lose or draw. Anyway, Arsenal have too much class this season, and they can only let themselves down now. As for the Semi-Final, its ALL ON THE DAY. It will be a cracker.
Oh scousers, we have ANOTHER Champions League campaign to look forward to next season! It is crap being a United fan, isn`t it. Roll on Channel 5 . . . . . .

Never fails to amaze me, you still slag off the UEFA Cup yet two teams from last year's competition have beaten you this season . And this year, the UEFA Cup is arguably harder to win than the CL, looking at the teams left.

Arsenal, Real Madrid and AC Milan, that's about it, maybe Chelsea at a push but it would be a big push. The rest are not exactly huge teams, Moscow, Monaco, Celta Vigo, Sparta Prague, Lyon, Porto, etc.
