Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

One of Kleberson's problems IMO is that he he's really bad at shooting but that doesnt stop him from trying.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Gutted with the result. Something needs to be done fast. I know that players need time to get back to form but we dont have that time.
Why don't we ever loan players?
Milan loaned Crespo and he knocked us out of the CL.
Fergie looks a bit too far into the future that he forgets the present.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I didn't manage to watch the game today ... but all I know is nill nill is really disappoint ... against Blackburn .... *sigh*

last time we drew against Crystal Palace... I dunno if it's the players international career or if they've given up hope...

:(

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Disappointing for you guys - I know how frustrating that feels against Blackburn. Haven't seen the game. How did Ruud play?

Really? Chelsea are starting to annoy me with their money now.

Man Utd have been doing that to us for years. I'm afraid we're all gonna have to try harder or get used to it. ;)

Man Utd's money is hard earned money from success (I know some comes from fans). Not like Chelsea's money which they did nothing to deserve.

Please! In the rich list they made £143.7m up until febuary and are only 28 million behind you, judging by Marchs finacial report and the likley hood that Chelsea wiil win the league and have a good chance in CL by the begining of next season they will be higher than you in that list!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

i'm sure he was talking about the money that seemed to grow out of a tree for them in the beginning of last season, one person quite literally brought them to where they are today

Dont you get it? Chelsea only made that money cuz they've been playing well. And the only reason they've been playing so well is because they used Abramovich's money to finance 75% of their current squad. This then leads to winning competitions which leads to more money. And now, Chelsea are almost guaranteed to qualify for the CL every year which is another source of revenue. Thanks to Roman, they've even got a big sponsor deal with Adidas which will bring in more cash. It all started from the moment Abramovich invested in the club. If Roman left Chelsea right now, the team might still be successful (assuming they can afford all the high wages) but its all thanks to Roman who kick started this loop of success.
Abramovich's money created more money.

Man Utd on the other hand recieved no help at all. If we had someone like Abramovich who can give us free money, we'd be by far the best team in England or maybe Europe.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think if the board is clever enuff,we should take advantage of the St James' Brawl and praise Keiron Dyer away. Its been a fact that Sir Alex has always been a fan of Dyer and if its the right moment, its now or the summer.Dyer can play in multiple positions, right and left wing,in the center and even rightback.Hes young, would be perfect for us.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

wait... something's got to be wrong with what you said there phrase, mate. there was a bit of friction between him and sir bobby about positions wasn't there? he was looked down upon and even booed by those who once supported him because he would not agree to playing in a position in which robson asked him to play. now we know fergie likes to tinker around with positions, perhaps that wouldn't be the wisest of decisions? i dont know, maybe he can change if he sported the red and white of united

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yea mate,I heard Kieron's a bit stubborn but who knows he might change under Sir Alex? In my honest opinion,I think hes most suitable on the right wing and in the hole.Scholes isnt getting any younger and Ronaldo can shift over to the left leaving the right berth for him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Surely the pathetic draw against Blackburn is the final straw for ferguson, his ineptness has cost United another Premier League championship. The only hope is for the FA cup but thats a long shot with the kind of shite performances United have been putting out over the last month, things need to change, Forlan should have never been sold the man is a goal scoring machine, fergs just didn't harness the kids potential. Enough is enough, fergs has to go.

Spend more that 2 minutes thinking before posting a message.

Dyer would be a good signing but if we buy him, he'll HAVE to be the signing that completes our team cuz we don't have much money left. He'll cost around about £10million and all that would go to waste if he doesnt do the job. But I could picture him in a united shirt. And he does have a skill to take players on like Ronaldo so maybe we could do with Dyer right now.

But first of all IMO, SCRAP THE DAMN 4-3-3!!! It doesnt work all the time and is costing us valuable points. And lets face it, some players are not earning their places in the first XI. I still think Smith or Saha should play up front with Rooney just behind. I don't think its fair on Smith. Phil Neville should be used more often when Keane isnt playing. Fortune isn't very defensive so he shouldnt be playing in a defensive role. IMO, he's a winger.
Fergie is too afraid to make big changes. The best managers are the ones who gamble. Fergie doesnt do that often. I'd rather see us lose whilst trying something new than lose the same old boring way.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Dyer will give us more pace in midfield!

Fergie should be given one mor season if the same happens next year he has 2 go and Man U fans no this as the past is the past.

Maybe time for a fresh future?

If not Dyer Jaoquin would do.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Joaquin will probably go to Chelsea or Madrid. He won't come here.
We should get either Dyer or Downing. I'd prefer an english player over a foreigner that needs time to adapt.
If I could have whoever I want, I'd take Wright-Phillips. He'd be great for us.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Dyer would be a bad buy imo. Hes a trouble maker, even before the events of the weekend. Likes his "off the field" activities a bit much too!! ALso its been commented above that he's young, well he's 27 this year....not that young then!!

Downing would be a great buy for United, young, English and fits in with Fergies policy of buying young talented players for the future.

As for SWP, he's surely destined for Highbury...

ok, im not going to pay attention to your ridiculous posts anymore? FORLAN!?!?!?! The guy would score one goal, then lose the ball the rest of the game, or he wouldnt score and just give the ball away.... enough is enough smango needs to go

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Come on guys you have 2 admit that one more season like this then fergie HAS to go?

Downing i forgot about him we should go after him as hes got evrything you need in a Left midfielder but i want SWP but we all know hes going Arsenal.

We need a holding midfielder 2 so whos around as we should of got Xavbi Alonso a few years back.

Did you even even read the friggin' post? The next line read:

Like I said, if you literally buy a whole new squad consisting of world class players, its pretty obvious that the team will do well. If I had that kind of money, I could win the CL with anyone. Even Manchester City.

I was pointing out why Chelsea are in the top 10 rich list. Vodaphone and Nike are one of the reasons why we are at the top. Adidas is why Chelsea are crawling up there too.

I'm sure theres a difference between qualifying for the CL and making it to the quarter finals plus being 13 points clear in the league.

Lets be realistic. He's too big a player for City.

Next you try to put Man Utd down, please give it some thought.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

give it some thought? You are so full of yourself Im not putting Man U down at all, just you and your moaning comments it just seems to me that youre turning a bit bitter and jelous over chelsea, and now your having a pop at me and city! moan moan moan,

170m+ in transfer over 4 years no CL for you?

They are already 4th in the rich list without the big sponsership deal from Adidas this was based on the one they signed with umbro.

your point is stupid! there are 8 teams that make it to the Qf of the CL
every year and they all dont spend like Chelsea! Didnt Arseanl beat you by 15 points last year! No Roman Millions there either?

Lets put it this way If i were say a Charlton fan i could say

It all started in 1992 the moment CL and Premier league were created! and for league clubs the level playing field was gone! But you dont see all us bitching about how much you spend!

As SWP hes is to big for city? cmon the guys 5ft nothing whats big about that!

chelsea spent 170 million plus IN ONE YEAR!!! your point is bad and not thought out, if untied had $170 in one year added to there current crop, of course they could win everything...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think hes trying to say that any team that has spent 170 million + has had success in Europe but not United.
