Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I hope Silvestre gets a fine and ban for that by the FA, there is no need at all to assault another player..

But overall the game was a disgrace to football, you have people like Cole who did the most ridiculous dive I have ever seen, and people like Ronaldo going down when a fly hits his arm..

You could tell right away the only thing those players wanted to do was have a fight, 2 of the top 3 teams in England and this is how they behave, like a bunch of school kids..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

You stfu you little runt, and yes like the ban Toure got, and before you start crying, I dont support any team, so I aint favouring 1 team, ok idiot?.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

jesus christ just watchin the game now, how often are arsenal players diving - its seriously shockin, i know we (united) are no angels but everytime it looks any near a tackle may be made the arsenal guys are just chucking themsleves down tryin to get guys booked and sent off - disapointing really

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yea, I am surprised I forgot to mention Pires, what a poor excuse for a player he is, and Ljungberg is a diver also..

It seems that alot of players are turning into dirty players each day, but actualy assaulting a player imo is the lowest you can go.

Only person I seen dive from Man UTD is Ronaldo.

when did he dive?i know he dives in some games, but i dont recall him doing one tonight, he has seemend to got better about it, also he has seemend to stop dribbling as much

what the hell happend to reyes, he was the wonderkid, now i dont really notice him....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

By diving I mean going down when someone touches your arm. ALOT of players do this, and its sad..

But I have to say I was surprised with Rooney, I hated him because he had a very bad attitude, but Ferguson has done a grat job keeping him under control, although he lost it tonight, but who didnt? :p

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Just wanna offer my congratulations to Utd for their performance last night, you thoroughly deserved the 3 points. To come back from behind twice and still win the game takes some doing. You really do have the indian sign over us at the moment and feel that you could push Chelsea all the way now if you carry on playing like that. In fact that was the best performance by an away side at Highbury this season, by a long way. Hats off to ya. :applause:

Thats exactly what I thought. That chip was so Cantona-like.

It was such a great performance from united. What ever the team talk was, it definately worked cuz we were playing with so much spirit in the second half. And Sir Alex actually got Rooney to calm down which I thought wasn't possible. If someone had told me a few months ago that we would beat the Gunners 4-2 with 10 men and without Ruud, I wouldn't even have laughed at the comment.
The question now is where do we go from here. TO have any chance of winning the title, we need to win EVERY game from now on. And I'm hoping we make the semis of the FA Cup so that the Chelsea game gets moved to the end of the season. Facing them early while they are still strong could result in a loss. And hopefully by then, Ruud will be scoring again.

Fair play to you fella, I think you winning the title a few years back at OT was the last straw for fergie cos you's havent beaten us since.

when arsenal took the lead I feared the worst cos like us they rarely lose when they go infront, especially at home but our attitude was spot on, it was abit tense and very tight on arsenals narrow pitch but in the second half we looked a class apart at times, keano and scholsey held it together perfect in midfield neither one of them looked fazed and The Ginger Princes pass with the outside of his right boot for Sheasy's goal was perfect.

And what the fook has happened to Sheasy, a ruud-like-finish on saturday, an Eric-type-chip (with his left foot!!) last nite.

So we march on, still plenty to play for and im sure arsenal will have some sort of say in where the title goes as they still have to play chelski at the bridge.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

guys remember last time this year, everyone was like, ahh rooney is overated, ronaldo sucks, giggs is past it, keano sucks, etc.. etc..., wow how things have changend boys....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

O'Shea said a few months back that he prefers left back but I think with his ability, he could play in the "Scholes" position behind a striker.
I bet he'll start in our next game.

guys lets not go nuts here, oshea is an avg player who is on a goal streak he might never see again, i think he is clumsy, slow and not worthy of a starting spot, in fact I think spector is a much better prospect then oshea(i know i know im biased) but spector seems to have a lot more atheletic abilities...

haha ya spot on mate, there will be alot of humble pie being eaten today.

All the london based journalists have been suckin arse for a year and some change, writing us off, the balance of power had shifter blah blah blah...

How anyone with even half a brain can write us off after we've proven people wrong so many times...

But thats the beauty of supporting United, we have ABU's coming out the woodwork but then when do well its ALL OURS!!!!!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

rooneys touch on the ball is just unreal, for a man with his girth and size, you would think the ball would fly off his foot, and his power and speed is umatched, did you see in the first half when he just shrugged off cole and flew past him, my whole living room was in awe..... ashley cole took a horrible dive in that game, what the hell is his problem

nah he's not that type of player
he could become a quality holding midfield player but not a player who plays directly behind the strikers

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah. You're right. The good thing is that O'Shea and Phil Neville partnership is a good alternative for Scholes and Keane. And its definately better than Kleberson and Djemba.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What more can be said after all is said and done.I was quietly confident when I found out Toure was not playing for the goons but Bergkamp does makes my heart skip a few beats. Now Campbell is also out and we will see the cookie crumble further more.Sheasy is Phil Neville version 2.0.A superb multiroleplaying player,he could be a good holding midfielder now, since Djemba Djemba is gone.I wish I could see it thru my eyes on how Keano chokes Vieira with those words he said in the tunnel..hahaha,classic.

Rooney is a special talent, he does things that he should have no right to do, his fitness has improved ten-fold since he joined us and he's getting better, last nite he showed awarness for the first goal, good passing for the second plus he added on the physical side of things aswell.

In Rooney and Ronaldo we have two of the best youngsters around at the mo and both are in fine form, matched with the ability and experience of Keano, Giggs (who was wicked last nite) and Scholes we have the perfect balance, compared to arsenal who last nite had some talented youngsters that we're given no guidance by the "older" players.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'd really want to know what Sir Alex said to Rooney at half time cuz before the whistle, he was going crazy but after the break he surprisingly kept his cool and had a great game.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wonder what was said to Silvestre that made him headbutt Ljungberg. The latter was clearly seen running towards Mikael to have a go at him.The usually mildmanner frenchman went bonkers and headbutted Ljungbergs nose.Provocation is one thing but volatile aggression must be dealt with, without a question.

Its so not like Mikael. I know Ljungberg had a go at him but Silvestre over did it then.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We matched Arsenal in EVERY department last night, and showed that we are STILL the team to beat. The best thing is, it doesnt look like Arsenal will win back-to-back Premiership titles, which REALLY pisses Wenger off. Back of the net! 8)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ljunberg on getting butted!

Ljunberg: "This kind of thing does not belong on a football pitch. He butted me on my nose, and it bled."

“I got really angry but tried to keep calm. We were told before the game that whatever happened we had to keep calm.”

He couldn’t have headbutted you if you hadn’t run over to him and provoked the situation you numbnut!

Fergie: "There are no wimps in my team and that showed itself tonight in a fantastic performance." Can you say the same Arsene?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That was a pretty funny clip. Cygan and Vieira were probably being little pricks and made fun of Keane's mother in french or somethng.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

ya stef, But i think Keane made a real fun out of Vieras/Cygans mother at the end :) .. not only in the staduim .. well .. in Bed too ;)

and for Cristiano .. It was fun .. Arsenal fans threw papers on him .. well after 2 minutes .. he scored twice :D .. haha .. I love u Cristiano :D :D :D

Well ,, Milan - Man .. for me .. It's Sheva vs Giggs .. My best two players :D
