Wow there's a blast from the past; Karel Poborsky. What a European Championship he and that Czech team had! He was phenomenal and he wasn't alone. There was also Pavel Nedved, Patrick Berger, Thomas Repka and I think Vladimir Smicer among others!

Unfortunately those few matches were some of the best he ever played! Never replicated it consistently at club level.

Yea. I don't recall seeing much of that Euro magic at United. I was so frustrated when they lost to Germany in the final from a crappy deflected goal. Was a fantastic team.

Yeah I was rooting for the Czechs too as a kid! That was the Euro's that Oliver Bierhoff became the super sub for the Germans right? Man I can't believe I remember some of this stuff so vividly! I used to live and breathe the game. Long gone are those days...

yeah, these days will never come back... now it´s all about money... that era was the last times of football in wich money isn´t first priority....

i was rooting for Czechs as well....for me it was obvious that even if we split, i always cheer for Czechs...

That team was golden era of Czech football, along with 2003-2004 team..

but don´t forget Czechoslovakia 1976 team that won European championship...

If it wasn´t comunnism, these players would have been much better known outside our country... My father always told me how Ajax wanted to build lights around stadium for Ján Pivarník to bring him to Netherlands and pay big money for him.. one of the best side backs in the country... yeah... that team was great.

Fellaini is literally pointless out there. But hey, it's great. Playing with 10.

Come on Norwich. 1 more goal to seal the end of LVG. Please please please.

Good stuff Norwich. Goodbye LVG...?

Giggs was auditioning there in the 2nd half.

One final thought - all teams should who don't want to play football should just time waste perpetually. That was appalling stuff from Norwich, the most posession they had in that match was while taking throw ins. Wasted time from minute 1. And what did we add? No extra time - standard 4 mins as ever. Michael Oliver warned Norwich players more than a dozen times in the match to hurry up, but gave no yellows for time wasting, and didn't add any time.

I mean, why bother?

Yeah something unfortunately needs to change.

1. Get Pep to commit to us for the summer and let LvG hopefully steer us to 4th (sacking him and putting Giggs in charge would be worse).

or

2. Just rid get now and Mourinho in

Possession winners baby!

Really? Because I didn't hear the United fans chant anything, the atmosphere was shite.

And there were plenty of fairweather wankers who left early as well.

By the end, it looked like a Middlesbrough game at kickoff. ;)

What a rag The Sun is...garbage.
And i know what happened at the press conference.

I wonder who has the least style and class: The Sun or LVG...

Wow what aholes. Sadly 95% of journalists appear to be talentless spineless worms.

And Gerd: I hope that's not a serious question. Imho there was zero lack of class from LVG in that press conference. I suggest actually watching it.

Excellent, agent Memphis helping me out today.

Fellaini is the worst thing that has happened to United along with Moyes. He completely changes our team, offers us nothing, and for some reason still gets game time. Don't think I've ever been so wrong about a player, really liked him as a defensive option, but he's terrible at everything. Except chest control, where is GOAT.

Excellent moment of how sporting football is there. Cameron is getting subbed in the 74th minute, starts walking off the pitch. Glen Johnson and 2 other Stoke players run over to him, start pointing to the ground - saying go down fake-injured instead of walking off to waste time.

Being American, Cameron laughs and walks off.

As if you need to waste time against Utd, just give them the ball and they'll pass it about in their own half.

Seriously though, Mourinho is gonna be the manager in a coupe of days, isn't he?
