Manchester United Thread

Maybe he helped Man Utd with those articles about not being interested in those players ? To lower the price ?

Not at all, I actually looked through his articles a while back over a month long period - every single one was negative, except one which was an interview with Scholes - which had lots of negativity.

I understand it - negative stories about United attract more interest than positive - but he's outrageous.

He said we'd failed at almost every transfer - including an aggressive 'United fail in Di Maria bid' which he posted literally 40 minutes before the club announced it. He's also run with the longest possible injury timelines, and as posted, put up a picture of a photoshopped LVG image - from his official Guardian account - calling him a bellend.

He seems to be more suited to writing culture and music stuff - which he used to do. I know I see bias everywhere, but when you see the tone he uses with City versus the tone with United, he definitely has an axe to grind and its unprofessional.

I'm not surprised when the ex-LFCpanel in every match have nothing nice to say about us, but you'd hope for better from a 'Manchester football correspondent'.

Just googled Bellend... Man, how the fuck a journalist calls a coach that and not get fired (Or maybe this is not a big insult in England).

 not my money, I give no fucks.

Though to the topic of Falcao, so far he's been a bust, however the current injury is unrelated to his knee so we'll see.

And Shaw off in the opening 10 minutes.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure LVG has had to sub a defender in every single prem match this season.

Fire the fitness staff.

Why are we playing with this ridiculous formation again?

Not looking good at all, we need to step it up in the second half. Arsenal were pressuring all of the first half so we should be the fresher side now. On the other hand, why don't Herrera or/and Mata play...? Hopefully one of them will come on and start to dictate the play a bit, as Fellaini is only worth something when we hoof balls to him (which doesn't really work well afterwards). Also need to get the ball to Di Maria a bit more.

The headbutt was closer 2 his knob then Head. He was out of order .. Frustration for missing the sitter.

So because he s too short to not hit him higher than his chin it's not a butt? Yanked Fellaini right before it so didn't just seem like an act of frustration. At the very least it lit some fire under the game. Before that moment it was all Arsenal.

Jack was wrong I was making a joke btw

What a silly game. Think i got some more grey hair watching that.

Gutted for DDG it didn't end up being a clean sheet. Was immense again today.

Especially Rooney. So unnecessary to pick up an injury in the 92nd minute when up 3-0.

That's probably the best I've ever seen a United team pass, particularly between about the 20th and halftime. Hull couldn't get a sniff.

Sad part was Fletcher. God he was awful. Can't get a sniff for Scotland anymore, should be nowhere near our first team. I'd much, much rather see Pearson or Rothwell.

Yeah Di Maria being injured aside that was brilliant. Shame about Falcao not scoring that great chance.

3 more points on Tuesday please, lets' go on a run.

no Di Maria for Monday :((

We'll miss his pace big time I reckon, we lack dribblers without him and Southampton are a solid outfit where u need that spark.

Chelsea have dropped points. Monday suddenly become even more important.

I don't for a second believe we can win the league but we desperately need to show that we're on a good path and beat Southampton. They've lost to City, Liverpool and Arsenal so it'd just be typical they get their first win against a big team, against us.

Ah the good old, I do believe a little but don't want to admit it.

Yeah a win on Monday is fucking huge just for the fact we put further distance between us and Arsenal and climb into 3rd position.

It's a very happy Christmas for West Ham and Southampton fans. With all that Southampton have sold, they have made huge strides to be at this position at the Christmas mark.

This game is huge for both sides as one can finally win against a "Top" team and the other can pile up a string of victories and put distance in themselves to be in the top 4 again. I think Rooney will play in Di Maria's place this match with Falcao in with RvP. Herrera, Fellaini with Carrick, and god knows who's still fit to be in the back 4. However, I do wish to see Adnan in for Di Maria as he can dribble the ball out of a tough midfield from Southampton.

Very excited to watch the match tonight.
