With Giggs, one of my alltimefavourite players stops.

As a former Utd i have had lots of favourite players, but he was the one i liked most.

Other United players i really liked: Sammy Mc Illroy, Remy Moses, Bryan Robson, Jesper Olsen, Cantona, Schmeichel and of course Paul Scholes.

Perhaps next season i will have another United player as one of my favourites: there is a persistent rumour in the Belgian press that Unitd are after both Vermaelen and Vertonghen. I love Vertonghen.

This rumour might make sense since both played for Ajax as CB's. Vertonghen is the better of the two, but they might be very strong as a tandem...

Something other i just came upon.
I've already mentioned our wonder generation: Bosschaaerts ( Man City), Charlie Musonda Jr (Chelsea), Januzaj (Man Utd), Divock Origi (Lille), Zakkari Bakkali (PSV) and Sieben Schrijvers (KRC Genk).

Turns out there is a second player of that team who plays for Man Utd: Marcos Pereira.He is just calledup for Brazil's under 20 team (so that is one player we will loose). Anyway, this guyis born in the village where i live: Duffel.

Bit of trivia news, but who knows if i might no turn out to be a Man Utd fan. Steak Bake and RunEdge will be delighted !!!

So Bebe isn't in the Portugal WC squad. Sob. 11 goals in 16 since January when returning from injury, for a relegation-level team. Not awful.

Yeah, but this is more for agents to bid for other players. Cesc name openly is brilliant business you never know what slimy agent crawls out. Its a win win situation a new boss and new contracts need filling :)

Draxlers would be ideal come in w/ no pressure and possibly a experience player needing a final contract. Robben !

Just because he is a Man U player does not mean he's a NT calibre player. Scoring that many goals at Paços was an achievement, but he's only an average winger.
 
you're spot on on that, bebo but it is not something seen usual to get players away from barça, real and bayern trio, unless the club would really want to sell them. and in this case, barcelona and fabregas have a special bond imo. but never say never, though. :)

robben just signed an extension with bayern until 2017 summer btw.

Yeah, Andreas Pereira. He's another one in our academy who looks like a possible future first teamer.

Oh I'm being entirely facetious. I've seen him play for United and the reserves - from those he's nowhere near a NT team player. BUT.

He's had a FAR better season than Nani, in every possible way of measuring it. If he wasn't a United player, and had done this as a Pacos youth product, I'd imagine he'd be part of a bidding war across Europe ;)

I think Mourinho's problem is with some of the fake gentlemen around, who speak very nicely in front of the media when they're winning things. Van Gaal's always been an outspoken man, just like Mourinho himself. yeah, it will be fun to watch their inevitable word wars, but I don't think they'll be enemies.

these are his first day comments on your new coach.

"He is a great football manager and I am happy he joins me in the same country and the Premier League. But more important than that, he's a great guy, a great man and I wish him good."
 
Yeah they seem to get one, which isn't surprising since LvG had him at Barcelona as a coach.

During his career at United Giggs played with 150 different teammates. Some names bring back memories :D.

.. Don't see Fellaini as a LVG type player so would be mildly surprised if they keep him around.. Especially if we manage to sign a proper midfielder.
 
hahaha, Bebe...poor lad, too much hype signing for Man Utd. If he stayed where he was and kept on developing, he'd be able to make a decent name for himself, instead of a laughing stock for most....
 
Wow, between that an the interview he did at the end of the season - didn't realise Scholes was such a hard ass. Explains why he achieved so much. And his dirty side.
 
:LOL: Lots of muppets jumping off the deep end. I doubt LvG said no to Kroos, its more likely it became clear a deal wouldn't happen and we briefed the papers first that we pulled out before Bayern got there say (which they have now)
 
I thought deals happen after July 1st? most players contract ends in the last day of June 30th. I'm sure negotiating are happening as we speak , but finalizing deals are a different matter.

Deals can be finalized (agreed and negotiated with clubs) and leaked, but nothing will be official until July 1st when all paper work will be put through and signed off, I think that's how it works.
