Manchester United Thread

I know Evra is in the last year of his contract , so that would go some way to explain our interest in a permanent deal for Baines. But it's interesting that Moyes has identified the position as such a weakness that he felt the need to get a loan deal done.

Well, Buttner kinda..sucks..and Fabio isn't quite there yet imho

It looked at one point as though Manchester United would not secure any major signings this summer, but it is now understood that as well as bringing in Marouane Fellaini from Everton, a loan deal has also been agreed to take Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid for the season. Stay with us for confirmation of both moves.

Both seem confirmed-official

Taylor, you have jinxed this transfer window! Jesus!

My bad guys! I officially announce my retirement from the Evo-Web forums, I feel my presence is only having a continued detrimental on many aspects of both fellow members life's and Manchester United as a football club

If I say something expect the opposite.

However, I will be back.. I love this place, especially Beach.. he makes me look like I shit rainbows with his pessimism

Re imposter CEO I'm kinda hoping that's what Woodward is.

I like Fellaini but someone needs to answer as to why he wasn't bought earlier. Shockingly amateur window from United.

Thought that guy left in july from the aussie tour on "urgent transfer business" id like to know what he was doing for the last 6 weeks

The man is clueless, he was probably trying to convince the Madrid kit man to sign for him. As one of our delightful posters put it "he couldn't sign his way out of a ball point pen factory'

Imo, and I don't like it but "urgent business" for Modern Day United is probably more interested in signing up sponsors then players.

All said and done if we could get some players fit ffs the first eleven is okay.

Get Fellaini in just behind Garrick play Nani and Valencia wide, rooney or kagawa behind rvp.

I'd rather have McCarthy than Fellaini, tbh. Why didn't we go for Coentrão in the first place if he was available instead of Baines?

You'd expect teething problems with a new manager and new executive but not sheer incompetence.

I think Fergie deserves some blame for not sorting out the blindingly obvious midfield issue in the last few years and maybe Gill could've stayed on to ease the trasition but still.

We shoulda chased down Gundogan and Reus. Two unrealistic signings, seems to be the quota met for our current management team.

Seems like the fucking Chuckle Brothers have been doing our negotiations the way we've gone back and forth over so many players.

Kinda makes you wish they are filming a documentary about United ATM, similar to the Liverpool one of last year. I can see Woodward smoking a blunt in his office telling everybody to take it easy, all the while playing Football Manager thinking he was doing actual business.

He will wake up tomorrow see we've only signed Fellaini and think he turned it off without saving!

...What was that Rooney quote a few weeks back.

Ah! that's it 'Angry and Confused'.

One horrendous window. I doubt if Fellaini fits the style. After all, Moyes might have a plan or two.
