Manchester United Thread

u mean Ronaldo Luis Da Lima of Brazil??? IF SO, I WOULD BE THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD!!! MY FAVOURITE PLAYER IN MY FAVOURITE TEAM!!!

him and Van Nistelrooy...WAKAKAKAKA!!!!!

actually ronaldo always says that he want to end his careers in england
dunno whether fergie will want him or not?

Djemba Djemba was my man of the match last nite.He is strong and has great balance to fend off challenges.I just love the way he plays, breaking up play and with simple passes. He should get lots of action this season now that Butt is gone for sure.

Imo, Man. Utd still need a few years to build up the squad if u want them to win the 3 titles again. (The old mate will retire and the young boy still not ready.)

Smith's an ok player but Utd should be going for the worlds best in each area of the field, or players who will develop into that calibre. I'd rather Fergie bought someone like Ronaldo (the REAL Ronaldo) or a youngster like Tevez who will be one of the best in the world in a few years.

Ole's out for the entire season with his knee, cant really see him coming back from this injury, maybe it will force sir Alexs' hand in making a bid for Rooney now.

gutted about Ole :(
i think we have to get another quality striker in now
we are always at our best when we have had four quality strikers (like in 99 cole, yorke, teddy and ole) and atm we have ruud, saha , smithy and hopefully we will go out and sign another

We need a forward with flair. Something along the lines Ronaldinho or Henry.
When was the last time you saw a striker like that at United?
Cuz there will be times like this again when many players are missing and we need someone who can play up front alone and create his own chances.
Remember the FA Cup semis when Ronaldo was up front alone? I mean someone who can do something like that and scores many goals.

well u can always count on forlan or bellion
i'd rather choose giggs or scholes to start upfront

Feck me I'm gutted about Ole, it could be the end for him and that is a shame cos he's one of the best I've seen.

Hopefully the club will stick by him cos he's a legend!!

Its not looking good but its early days and on the plus side all the injured players will come back at crucial stages in the season.

I reckon we've got enough quality in the side to qualify for The CL it might be struggle but injuries are part and parcel of the game so we've just gotta get on with it.

I think now is the time to move in on Rooney, its just freakin time. This injury to Ole could just be the silver lining we need.Real just shifted their attentions on Owen and the Vieira saga.ITS ABOUT FREAAAKKIINN TIME!

hahaha, Owen will only be a back-up at Real...lolz

but sheez!!! that's my United team on WE...lolz, yeah i suck, i use RVN and Ronaldo as the strikers!!!

but poor Ole...hope he can still play and come off the bench popping in a hat-trick to push us to victory!!!

I was wondeirng if you could tell me about Old Trafford's ovation for the Brazilian Ronaldo. When did that happen?

Was it 2 years ago in the Champs League when he scored the hat trick on Barthez.

What exactly did the fans do. I saw that game but the ESPN feed obviously cuts out alot quicker than yours does. :l

That was a great match, even though we lost. Ronaldo was superb and Beckham came on and gave Fergie something to think about. Even he said after the game "Tonight was a game for the lovers of football." A pure attacking game.

One of the best sports games I have seen.

So was the crowd chanting for Ronaldo after the game or what?

(still cannot believe becks was kept on the pine for so long)

Ferguson was trying to prove a point to Beckham - that no one player is bigger than Man Utd itself. Then Becks came on a curled in a delightful free-kick.

It was just like how Fergie puts it,a great, pure attacking game.United won on the night too 4-3.Ronaldo was just at his menacing best,3 great shots on target and Becks came on,his last United game ever and scored a curling freekick that left Casillas stranded and a toepoke.Ronaldo got a Theather Of Dreams, standing ovation after he was replaced.A great game that I'll never forget.

Yeah it was the CL 1/4 final against Real.

Even though he knocked us out of the CL we gave him a standing ovation which is unusual by anyones standards.

Its the only time I've seen a player get this, who isnt an ex player of course, Ronaldo was shocked at it, I'll try and find his post matcvh comments......

Just a few more days until we meet. We are the favourites since you are plagued with Injuries and Olympics related crap. But i dont know, your defence is quite weak now and we have strikers that want to prove themselves for their first team spots. Its going to be an interesting game.

Well sulph obviosuly for us tonite is the most important game of the week.

Yeah we're weak but theres quite alot in the the team that would be playing anyway so we'll be okay, we usually do okay at yours and the pressure is gonna be on you's to win so we'll see how the chips fall.

TBH in the our current state I'd rather play you's on the first game than the last cos if you beat us now apart from hurting our pride its not gonna matter come next May.

Fergie said he wants to concentrate on the league mroe than the champions leauge so how is the game tonight more important? :-k
