Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Isn't next season the last one before the UEFA financial fair play rule comes into effect? If so, I'd expect some very big spendings from Chelsea and City this summer before it's too late.

So yeah, things could be a whole lot different next season.

I think January was the last time for teams to spend big and not have to sell? Hence Chelsea splashing £71m or so.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Poor old Fletcher.

Unlucky to be suspended for our last CL final and looks increasingly likely that he'll, at the very most, be on the bench this time round.

Even if he does start, he'll probably not be completely match-fit and playing at the high level he was a couple of seasons ago.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well done on winning the league, very much deserved. After the Chelski start I couldn't see anyone touching them, but they fell apart and you just continued to plod along.

You think that's how we'll go into the CL, definitely looks like our most potent team now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This title is Fergie's I feel even more so than the others. Well done Sir Alex. :WORSHIP:

Without him, United would be competing for a CL place but that's about it and wouldn't go further than Q-finals really in Europe. I really do. But this guy just works his magic and gets the very best out of different kinds of players and talk about 'winning' mentality and motivation, etc.

Their squad is fairly deep and solid but hardly what you'd expect out of CL finalists and Premier league champions. Put any other manager in there this season other than good ol' rednose and I think people would appreciate the Scot even more.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

SAF Charged by the FA for praising the referee

Apparantly you can't comment on the referee prior a game at all

He said "He's definitely the best referee in the country, there's no doubt about that. We are getting the best referee and we hope it's our turn for a little bit of luck."

Ancelotti said "“I don’t want to put pressure on the referee. I think Howard Webb is a fantastic referee because he has experience.

“If the referee he has no experience we can perhaps be a bit worried about this but with Howard Webb there is no problem.

“I have trust in the referees in England. Maybe they make a mistake but that is the same as anywhere in the world – this is normal.

"Either you accept the decision of the referee or you have to say that there is a conspiracy.”

:SS Sorry, so why is SAF Charged but not Ancelotti?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

One rule for United :)

Harry was in on it too yesterday, praising Howard Webb a full 48 hours before the Tottenham v Liverpool match. Anyway, nothing would surprise me in the FA's attempt to ensure that they apply the rules with all the consistency of an infant finger painting.

Dear United: I know it is in your DNA to ensure squeaky bum times lasts as long as possible, but if you could please actually show up today and ensure the point we need to win the league, that would be wonderful, and would be appreciated by fans around the world. 1 point. Ewood park. Berba has some ghosts to banish from last year. Fergie, if you play any more than 2 of Evans, Smalling, Fletcher, Gibson and Owen, I will hold you fully accountable for my inevitable rage. That is all.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They're just a bunch of clowns, period. Supposedly the "home of football" and we're run by such fuckwits.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Man Utd Draw .. But That Enough For 19th Tittle .. Great Perfomance ..
Chicha and Rooney rocks..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

congratulations, enjoy being the club with most domestic trophys..

hope you won´t enjoy it for too long :D

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Congratulations red devils! Enjoy the moment and praise SAF for being the most successful club in England. Keep going lads!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Congratulations to all of us!! I have seen United won the bulk of it all since 93/94 and still it makes me proud to see us win the 19th!! History has been made but I am sure the likes of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes will be telling the younger lads to win their 20th next season, the moment they hold that big old trophy aloft.Glory Glory Man United.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Congratulations! :WORSHIP:

You may not play the most beaturiful football in the premiere all the time, but surely you're the strongest and most competitive team, and have lots of talent in all lines.

You do what it's needed when it's needed. That's very important for a team, and it's thanks to SAF.

Congratulations again for the title but I hope it's your only title this season! :P

It will be a good final. Truly the 2 best teams in Europe this year in my oppinion. And both have won the domestic title, so we both can enjoy the final without the fear of a trophyless season. Let's hope this means a terrific game of football!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yes drekkard...we will battle it out at Wembley.

The best thing about Barca is that, they play the same way every single time against almost any team.

United on the other hand seems to adapt to counter-play their opponents...bear in mind that we hate to lose another big final to the same opponents! Sir Alex must now have shown that Rome final DVD lots of times to the lads...pint-pointing every single mistakes they made on that night!

I'd say we should put up a better fight this time round!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Wow, cant believe how petty match of the day were last night. Only for United. As long as the English continue to be so pathetic, they'll deservedly win nothing. Disappointing from the beeb, who i thought were impartial.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, Champions * 19

Was great last night....

Not sure if anywhere else can boast Prem and Cup winners within hours of each other!!

actually no, unless they have watched it on theri own time, the players have never watched that final...

and coaching staff never show DVDs when its tactics/formation that was root cause of defeat...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, Champions * 19

writing without any anger or something.

looking at most of your banners out there at Blackburn, and some of your´s avatars...i can´t help but notice how obsessed you were by breaking the Liverpool record..drawing the Liverbird getting beaten by your devil or whatever.. what for all this? i assume most of you are same age than me, i´m 25.. You mostly knew United managed only by Ferguson (well, only few remember the pre-Ferguson era obviously), who himself came to the club when it was second to Liverpool. Liverpool as club waits for the trophy now 21 years, wich is still less then United waited for domestic glory after their last title before 1992 one. And now even Ferguson said, that the first title to win after 26 years is or was the hardest (for him)..

He was the one who came with this Perch thing, and injecting the generations of United fans who knew United as the winning in last 20 or 10 years, depending how long you follow football itself..

LFC never disrespected your club in such way in media, like United does others.. The whole perch thing is ridicilous.. You seem to much obsesed without even knowing this, to overcome LFC but...i ask now, what would you do if Liverpool win the titles in next seasons, or would overcome you at some point in future? do you think LFC fans will mock you, that they realy care about the United team so much as you do for beating our record?

I doubt it.. i prefeur for example to care about my team only.. despite not only myself noticed the many favours United were given through the years by referees...but this are things nobody will look back after..

Anyway.. wish you all best, but most of all, to next season i hope you will end this Perch discussion, becouse it´s something you and your manager invented in first place..

Anyway... i find it kind of funny some of you always talked (before yesterday) that you won it 11 times to Liverpool´s 0 titles in Premier League, but now you overcome the titles Liverpool won, suddenly the 7 titles you won before English first division football was called premier league counts...

Think about it, think about the respect to other teams and fans, before you end up in same situation LFC fans are now...you never know when this happens..

pleace notice i haven´t told anything about LFC having still more european trophys than United in my first "congratulations" post above.. but the amount of hypocracy in some of the fans avatars or signatures, or the whole "perch" attitude is just beyond belief...

errm dont know if you've been to anfield, but there have been a few banners up over the years regarding the trophy count, or telling us to "come back when you've got 18"

but nice try, think your gonna need a hand down from that high horse...

Re: Manchester United Champions Thread,

Well, obviously not all fans are like this, but nevermind..
