Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Clearly wasn't that injured running over to the ref and having a moan, then going down like he got shot.

Based on the Gerrard sending off, then you have to send off both Carra and Rafael too...

Did you see Nani crying on the ground or are you blind? Do you think thats just moaning?

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

So Rafael's two-footed tackle was fine? What was the difference between that and Gerrard's sending off then? Both two-footed tackles, both off the ground. One sent off, one booked.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Your sounding awfully biased Dags, It was a yellow at best, Gerrards was much worse.

I like the fact that 2-0 up your players feel the need to try to ruin our season by breaking Nani's leg. Very Classy.

Rafaels tackle wasnt fine either, two red cards obviously. The difference, the BIG difference, is that fact that we had a good match in our hand until Carragher fucked it all up with that murderous tackle. Or do you actually think that Rafaels actions are not directly related to what had just happened to Nani?

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Think carragher has ended our season with that, rafael could have gone but jamie did that to maim. Classy

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

guys remember Torres? just now that Kuyt scored 3 goals i realised we steal 50 milion from Chelsea :D

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

All credit on the performance you were excellent. We cant make it without ando fletc hargo. Midfield just not good enough.

Carragher is a thug though. Up two non threatening position and you do that. Go home and count your league medals you filthy prick

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Cracking performance apart from the first 10 mins or so in the second half. Nobody really put a foot wrong, Skrtel looked a bit wobbly at times but everyone put in a good shift today.

Good thing is it's only going to get better once Suarez adapts more to the English style, and Carroll is still to come as well.

Happy days :D

And those calling Carragher for all kinds:

YouTube - Roy Keane Ends HÃ¥land's Career In Manchester Derby

Swings and roundabouts, and I bet United fans didn't bat an eyelid when Keane did that, and admitted he went out to break his leg in his autobiography.

Not that I expect that video, that arguement or that point to make any difference of course. Keane was an angel.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

great match, Suarez was amazing, Kuyt has to thank him for each of his goals i think..

Man of match for me by a mile Suarez!

Good to see Carroll making debut in such match. Looking forward to see us play with such determination against all clubs, not just top 4.

we needed such win at West Ham week ago as well..

now it´s between Arsenal and United even more... will be interesting to see this fight for title. As for us, nothing but winning matters now...

I would take Torres over Kuyt all the time. I think it would be improper to write him off yet.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Gutted to lose that goal at the end too, awful concentration and a real unnecessary way to lose a goal and clean sheet. Clarke will have a go at the defenders there hopefully. I haven't seen the replay but who should've been marking Hernandez anyway?

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Not that i condone keano, but its a myth that ended the guys career. He retired after an injury to his other leg.

Anyway great win, well played. Cant believe carrick got a new contract.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I just want to congratulate you on the win, Suarez played great, Kuyt knew exactly where to be, and our make-shift defense was abysmal against them.

I just want to say Carragher's tackle was absolutely awful! I just hope Nani will be fine, as for Rafael's tackle, it was mis-judged, but he didn't make contact with the player, thus just a yellow card and not a red at all.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

@ Goku, just because Lucas was smart enough to get out of the way doesn't mean it isn't a red card!

Both were red cards imo, the only difference being Lucas was fortunate enough to get out of the way, whereas Nani wasn't. You could tell it was a bad injury the way Nani was crying his eyes out. And being able to stand up in the heat of the moment with adrenaline pumping doesn't mean anything imo (well unless it was broken).

But really, disregarding those 5min. of mayhem, Liverpool comfortably won the match, with Suarez especially showing how good he is. That must have been Kuyt's easiest hattrick ever, every goal was within a meter of the line. :D

Really pleased with the performance, but it will be interesting to see how the other matches go against the lesser teams. Not sure about the WH one, as WH played really well. Against Wigan the team looked very tired. They need to make sure they beat these teams, and have the mentality to do it when not playing well. That will be the main aspect you would look for, for improvement.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Fletcher saved us 2 points tonight ..i mean Steven Fletcher from Wolves against Tottenham

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

A very small chance.

Spurs still have to go to Anfield, and they still have to play City and a couple of the other top4 teams. There are a huge amounts of points to be won and lost between the top 6 sides with the matches coming up.

Made a list earlier in the thread but;
Spurs have; City(a), Arsenal(h), Chelsea(a) and Liverpool(a) to play
Chelsea have; City(h), Spurs(h), Utd(h)
Liverpool have; City(h), Arsenal(a), Spurs(h)

So that's a 12, 9 and 9 point swing possible in just those fixtures. And that's disregarding the complete inconsistantcy of all of them. The stats have Liverpool in 2nd place in form, behind Arsenal. http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/oform.html
Ofcourse they will mean f#$k all if they don't keep it up, but it could become very tight.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Oh I see mate. Honestly I can't see you lot or Spurs getting the CL spot. City and Chelsea will take it. I mean, looking at your recent form you're in a better shape than the 2 blues but the gap is enormous even considering the games left and the amount of matches between contenders.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Nani's injury.

F*ck you Carragher!

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

looks nasty..

physical challange, like a roll back on how the english game was built.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Really? Because this is also claimed to be the injury:

Someone is doing some Photoshop work somewhere then...

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I hope it's fake then.

The thing that bothers me the most is, as I was watching it live, immediately I said to myself: Red card, without a doubt. Then the ref, even after looking at Nanis leg decides its a yellow. What the hell?

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

when asked about the incident he replied " "Football is more important than an incident in the football match" Who is he Obama
