Dempsey is a great player and has proven that at every stage of his career in whatever competition he's played against any opponent! He doesn't care who he's facing or what team he's playing for. Such is his arrogance, belief in himself and mental strength and ability as a footballer. Big, small teams, Internationally, MLS, EPL, I, too, watched him like beboq since his breakthrough and immediate impact as a youngster in MLS days and right from the start, you knew this kid would become a star! There was just something about him.
It's a ridiculous thing to say difference between him and Aquilani is huge because it shows just how biased you are.
I'm a big fan of Alberto and want him back in the EPL and Liverpool. Few in the world are more comfortable on the ball than him and have his vision and touch. If I were Kenny, I'd do my best to bring him back if possible (most likely not, cuz Juve probably will exercise option to buy him) and build a team around him. That's how good he is!
But to say what you did is ridiculous because Dempsey absolutely CRUSHES Aquilani in many important areas.
1. Fitness
2. Mental strength, aggression, determination!! Dempsey is a GOD in this regard. Similar to Tim Cahill. Players like him will ALWAYS be dangerous because they never give up and always give a 100%. Alberto is not half the man Dempsey is in this regard.
3. Aerial ability. Time and time again, you will see guys like him and Tim Cahill outjump and cause defenses all kinds of problems in the air both with headed goals and nod-ons to other team-mates. Alberto? Hahah... well... he's the same height but a ball would have to accidentally hit him in the head and go to a corner if he was to be a threat in the air.
Bottom line, it's stupid to compare the two because they both have their advantages and disadvantages over each other and both are quality players. If I were a manager, I'd want both in my team!
Dempsey is a very well rounded footballer and so a real asset to ANY team!
