I getting sick and tired of some deluded Liverpool fans who think Hodgson getting sack will make any difference!

Your team is steaming pile shite. Put Rykarrd, fat waiter, hell even put Jose in and you wont do much better with that dreadful squad of players you have.

I mean i was just saying just how much Spurs even are better than Liverpool player wise! The only player who would get into Spurs's team from Liverpool is Torres, and that's if he's bothered!

Liverpool are a top 6 team at very best! Those days of winning the league or even Champions League are gone, until you bring in some players who actually care about the club! Some young players are given an chance and some quality signing!

I like Liverpool but this castigating of Roy is a joke, Liverpool fans need to get real! Roy inherited a sinking ship full of complete dross! Roy made some mistakes and could have done much better but he is not the biggest problem in any way, it's the players the fat waiter left him!

The funny thing is you lot want Hodgson out but aren't exactly a great catch at the minute, no top manager would want to touch the Liverpool job and as Jumbo pointed out if you do your job you end up 6th which is higher than the mighty 7th of last year.

That is a load of bollocks. Liverpool is still historically the biggest English club (yes better than United, Liverpool doesn't need the exploitation of a dead team to be historically important...i'm exagerating but neutrals will see what i mean).

UJ, about that squad. On paper that is a very good squad, but the two last seasons proved that some older players should go.

For the record: i strongly disagree with Klashmann, his last post is hysterical.
How can almost everything be wrong for Liverpool.

They had some difficulties with Hicks and Gilette and maybe Hodgson isn't the best manager.
The club needs to buy new, hungry players, but all in all things are looking rather good with the new owners who are experienced with sports franchises.

They are now mid table with a average squad.

They have players who don't want to be there, no youth structure with little intention in bringing through young players.

First of all, Liverpool would be stupid to sell Torres, especialy if he said many times he is not thinking of other clubs and that winning trophy with this club might be more than more trophys he won untill now. He is still top striker. Dont forget we have played and won games even without Torres and Gerrard...We still have top players that any team would want, for example: Meireles, Agger, Skrtel, Jovanovic, Aquilani, and not to forget Pepe Reina. That is not bad, if you consider the problems we had with owners, those players could now have played for other teams...but the other thing is to know to work with this players wich obviously Hodgson dont have a clue. I do think we will buy few very good players but my bigest wish is to apoint a manager who has atributes to work with such players in all competitions for long term...Only name that comes to my mind at this point of season is gues who? yes Rafa.. but it is up to the owners who they appoint.

Chelsea didn´t replaced J. Cole as well and i think Hodgson said in one of his famous interviews that he was signed before the club apointed him...he wasn´t Rafa´s signing either...

Personally I'm not interested or rate any of those as top players in any of those players apart from Aquilani who i think will probably join Juventus permanently. He's been playing really well there! Italy suits his style more and Juventus are a more stable club you have to say.

I've been a fan of Meireles for a while but i know as well as anyone who's seen him, hes very average! Very hard shot, ok defensive play, some good creativity, that's about it!

That was mentioned clearly by Broughton/Hodgson...
He has failed that bringing us to a lousier form and position

To have a striker like Torres score goals everyone have to play the ball to him...he needs support and he will score a lot... without midfield there is no striker... Other thing is also the fact everybody covers Torres more after his first season, he was unpredictable then...now two-three players are on him whole game.. but TACTICS are what the COACH chooses...Hodgson should have done a lot better with the squad...there is worse squads ahead of us...just becouse good TACTICS.

BTW Torres intentions are according to his words the same as when he signed in 2007...to help Liverpool win trophys..

Btw, calling a player who playes for his country in first 11...especialy if it´s a big country or playing week by week, also in different competitions "AVERAGE" then i dont know what kind of players are not average...

Body language? Look at Berbatov for example, he was labeled lazy becouse not enough runs etc..but yet he still scores, but why? Striker like Torres, especialy being alone up front needs passes...Hodgson is the man who make the decisions who to play and how to play them.. He chooses to play Meireles as wing? wtf? Of course any striker would struggle in a team which is playing poorly but someone like Torres is a special player who can win matches on his own. He's barely scored or looked like grabbing matches by the neck! He hasn't been close to his best! I haven't seen him do anything inspired apart from against Cheslea and that delicious backheel vs Bolton!! He's looked so badly off the pace and disinterested for too many matches!

Sorry, it just wouldn't surprise me if he left in the Summer!

This is my fault mostly but i have a very different interpretation of average to you. I feel we live in an era of grossly overrated players! So i tend to even call full, regular internationals such as Mireles as average since despite it's clear he's one of the 'better' midfielders in the premiership and he would start for any team outside the top 5.

I'm very harsh with my ratings, I define Gerrard for example as a 'very good player' where as I'd assume your describe him as world class.

I define a huge amount of players average, i don't mean they are shit tbh just haven't got the ability to turn a game or defensively nullify an opposition.

I'd say there only around 100 or so players I'd define as good, very good, world class, then there's that Alien at Barca who's a step ahead of everyone pretty much!

Another reason why i call so many players average, That Alien at Barca, is he on the same level as Maradona? Or imo has he not even reached the level of someone like Michael Laudrup (truly amazing but not really in Diego's league in terms of stature) the quality of football gone downhill due to the nature of the modern game (Athletes>Technique).

That's why i class many players as simply average!

that depends on circles...every player reach his peak somtimes and go downhill...see Ronaldinho for example...or many others...

But i would call Gerrard at his peak world class. Even if you ask supporters of other Premier League clubs, everyone respect this label imo.. There is only few players that are top, some of them becouse they are actually great players who lift the club, who perform for long period of time and some of them who just won something..

I would not call Barca aliens, or step ahead of everyone... It´s just they are a great team..with great tactics and they know each other... so their performance rises... place Xavi, Messi and others in different clubs, maybe they would fail to reach the level of when they are at the same moment in Barcelona..

Shurely they are among the best but everyone can reach the level in good perfoming team with good TACTICS
