Yeah he hasn't had a chance to shine since signing for Real and his career has stalled but before he looked great.

With him and Johnson at fullback you definitely need a strong defensive midfielder to drop back though.

anyway Jumbo i am not lead by RAWK dont worry..i dont even read there much of the threads, becouse i am bussy and dont have time for that..i might have about 800 posts for two years (?) but i barely write something there...wich surprises me if you saw me there..you might browse there more than me as united fan..i dont give a damn about United forums...

I'm not sure it is his page, and its odd it was posted 10 days ago, I was just looking at the spoiler after looking in the thread and some people mentioned Drenthe, then I saw that. Just thought it was worth posting.

Ok well I think that you are a little bit, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Like I said it's difficult for a foreign fan IMO.

"just knowing Purslow and the Chelsea rat talked with him...explains it all... " . That's straight out of RAWK, the fact I could tell you'd been spending time reading there just from what you said speaks volumes.

Anyway, I've probably visited it at the most 3 times ever, anything else I've read is just posts quoted on a United forum. I wouldn't normally give a damn about a Liverpool forum but it provides hilarious reading at times. :)

i was only asking if it is 100% his own page...

i have Andres Iniesta in my FB, he writes usualy in catalan or spain about his actual stuff...and he dont have photo with himself in barca shirt but normal private look..that is why i ask about drenthe and his page..if it is him on the other side..

Mate probably you wont belive me but i never ever copied the "chelsea rat" words from nobody or no forum.. if i had this feelings and some other had them..probably we think the same..but you wont say different things if you have the situation we have with him, chelsea fan...seasont ticket holder, personaly i dont belive him and also the owners even if i never read RAWK, i can make my own decisions i am not 15 yo ;)

I dont know if it is exactly the same. I dont know if there is an United forum as pathetic at RAWK. The majority of the members of RAWK are fan of Benitez and not of Liverpool.

He can't Ive seen him play throughout his career....i hope we dont fucking him. If we do I hope he can prove me wrong, from what I've seen hes useless thats why marcelo plays before him & marcelo is very average

Drenthe is better at left midfield rather than as a defender. Even Insua is a better LB.

yep, you are maybe right but then again, in time when Benitez was manager i supported him also..i still support him becouse i think he is great manager, great person..i am not a fanatic saying he was always right but i was right behind every of his decision.. he did great for us...if i look back on his 5 years, he made us big in europe again, feared, bought few world class players for bargain...that have double or tripple the price now...he did mistakes, but everybody make them...with the situation and backing he had in LFC for the years from the owners and board, he did amazing things..imo.

now Hodgson is manager and i stand fully behind him.. trought the wind, trought the rain...as well.

about Drenthe, i realy hope we dont buy him, he is the type of player who could have big ego..maybe he chainged but i always remember his foul on gerrard in feyenoord friendly.. he is not Left back defender, he is more winger...and if we have to buy a LB we are linked to, i hope it is Marcel Jansen.

I think that the best he did were his buys. There were some flops but he left Hodgson a much better team than the one he inherited. And then you have to listen to Houiller talking bullshit.
I never liked his tactics and I think we could have finished better last season with the squad we had if it wasnt for his defensive approach.
And I also didnt like about how he was always quoting "You ´ll never walk alone". I think it was pathetic.

I think that also lots of injurys were the reason...and most of all not buying an attacker to cover Torres. But if it was his fault or fault of the board or owners not giving him money for it, i dont know.

the Drenthe thing was bollocks btw, it was a fan page and it's been taken down now.

Rory Smith said last night that there was no truth in it, and also that there's no truth in the Torres rumours as he's still on holiday and hasn't made a decision about his future yet.

I would like to wish the club all the best for the new season, I can see there's a lot of changes taking place and its like a breath of fresh air into the club. I think the club will have a very positive future.

I want the fans to remember me as a player who tried to give his best. My first year here was one of the best seasons and the closest the club have come to winning the Premier League.

Last season was a season for everyone to forget in all ways, which can happen to any club. In football it's important to look forward and forget the past.

I felt it was time for a change and I'm looking forward now to the new challenges which lie ahead.

And be honest, the guy scarcely played after a very good first season, i would like to go to another club too.

I agree. The club was a 'sinking ship' last season. Maybe he shouldn't have spoken out but he'd been pushed out by Benitez and wanted to play football, especially as there was a World Cup coming up at the end of the season.

Rory Smith of the Telegraph believes Drenthe isn't on the clubs radar but Figuero is.

the Drenthe story was clearly a wind-up by some bellend on facebook, the daily star fell for it and the story spread from there.

but then the daily star believed RockStar were releasing Grand Theft Auto Rothsbury because they saw this photoshopped pic on the internet and fabricated a whole story about the game:

They had to print a huge apology and retraction in which they admitted they made no attempt to contact Rockstar or even to corroborate the story before contacting a family member of the girl involved to get a reaction. Fucking joke of a paper.
