20 TIMES!
Re: Liverpool Thread
Yeah I agree, Torres at 20M at the time was a huge risk. but he's worth 3 times that know.

(or lucky some would say)Did we actually earn money on the Pornstar? He was signed for free but can't remember if he left or got sold....

edit: didn't notice there was another page, only on this forum could you have an entire page dedicated to arguing about the definition of the word 'bargain'

Fair enough, I disagree but it's not really important, both were good signings I just wouldn't describe them as bargains. Like I wouldn't say we got Rooney for a bargain at £30m or Ronaldo a bargain at £12m despite both being worth more now because it was a lot money and a risk at the time.
An example of a bargain I'd say was Sneijder going to Inter for £12m last summer as he was worth more at the time.

Ridiculous isn't it.....
The Vorinator did score a belter in the CL qf against.....a frenchside. He looked really good in that match.
unforgivable.Torres and Masch were not bargains.
I think you made about £3m on Voronin, looked like a confidence thing with him tbh or something specific to the club or England in general as he was good when he went back to Germany in between. Strange.
I said my own opinion.. you dont have to agree..![]()
honestly like i read, nobody would EVER mention Hodgson to replace Rafa, since the rumours of him ending LFC job appeard first...everybody is overjoyed with Hodgson as new manager after he made Fulham look top club in UEFA cup..but as i writen above, i honestly dont think he has the ability to prove himself for us, not to take us higher or overcome Rafas success...
Dalglish might be away from the center stage, but he has always been close to the club, players, board and fans..
i doubt he dont have the ability to get us out of the mess..especialy to manage our current players and young players...

I totally agree. Other bargains were Robben, Kranjcar, Evra. And for me, Aquilani was a bargain, he is worth much more than 17 €.Fair enough, I disagree but it's not really important, both were good signings I just wouldn't describe them as bargains. Fair enough. But if we follow the definition that Jumbo gave of bargain, then he would be. According to him (and I agree) a bargain is when you pay less than what you should have.not yet he isn't, he's still got a lot to prove.

Liverbird, you've deffo got a bit of a man-crush going on there with Aquilani.

Yes, you re right.Let's see if this post can get us into a 3rd page of arguing about what a Bargin is.
I agree with Jumbo, a bargin is something you buy knowing it's worth far more. Masch had already showed his quality and 18mil is a reasonable price for a DM. Torres was a risk but still an expensive one. Both great buys, not bargins.
However buying something broken for far less isn't a bargin. That's just being cheap!![]()

Only one man can settle this, this sounds like a job for...
