Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

I'm not sure what the hell is going on with our season, but this is just crazy now.

Why was Degen sent off? It was a perfectly legal tackle, not even a booking?!

Our defence has become a joke this season, we STILL can't finish teams off and we're going to be lucky if we get even close to challenging for fourth place.

This is just embarassing.

Edit: Oh COME ON! Fucking hell ref! :BRICK:!!! The linesman had a PERFECT view and takes no notice of him?!

Re: Liverpool Thread

Sack him !

Degen's tackle was dangerous to be honest, he took out the guy from underneath. And Carra finally got caught. Piss poor performance, Babel, Voro are sh*t, I should've known better. No movement, no diagonal run, just stay there and waitttttttttt for the ball. Even Eccleson has more attacking threat than Kuyt who is clearly winded and need for a rest.

Re: Liverpool Thread

EIGHT red cards in the Premier League this week?! Have the refs been on orders to send people off or something?!

Re: Liverpool Thread

Also he's a bit crap. Seriously without Torres you guys are royally screwed and with Gerrard's injury being a strange one midweek could be great viewing :))

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well, atleast Carra won't play our next 3 games

That'll be good for him and Liverpool, he clearly needs to step back and realize what kind of performance he's puttering out this season.

What happen to El Zhar?? He could've gave us the spark that's 100x brighter than Kuyt tonight !

Re: Liverpool Thread

Kuyt was atrocious. Worse game by a Liverpool player in quiet a long time.

Oh, it's all a bit shit. Horrible day, and it'll get worse. Our club's in an absolute mess.

was shocked to see him save that ball from going out knowing an attacker was behind him he probably tried to hit it back to the gk before the 2nd goal. Why take out the attacking threat w/ 1-1 too :CONFUSE:

Re: Liverpool Thread

Lmao - you all go overboard - okay, that was awful! I knew things would turn out bad because Voronin played all game despite not having a clue, Babel came on and ran in circles. Benayoun, possibly our most creative player out on the left wing instead of being tucked up behind Torres for the killer ball. Rafa seems to be focusing on the CL more than todays match.

YoungGun_UK - it's "we're", not "where"....

Re: Liverpool Thread

When was Liverpool's last league trophy then?:TTTH: Whose future looks brighter?:TTTH: Hell whose present looks brighter?:TTTH: 5 league defeats in like 10 games, WOW. The fat waiter is a genius keep him:FAIL:

Re: Liverpool Thread

 Go back to your own thread eh? Your team has won a few games and you think you're in a position to gloat and take the piss in other teams' forums? Nice one kid

When was your last CL trophy ... Ooops, sorry.

Re: Liverpool Thread

On the defensive again, eh?

Shit performance, YoungGun's prediction might come true even earlier than March.

I expected you guys to build on last season, oh well.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I just don't think someone can be in a position to comment on another teams manager when their manager hasn't won shit for many years. Kinda hyprocritical really, how can you mock another manager when yours has achieved less in recent years?

Re: Liverpool Thread

C'mon Dags it's banter. Every fan contributes to it, otherwise rivalries wouldn't be so fierce.

Plus there isn't a ban on free speech here so he's allowed to say what he wants.

Anyways, I can't comment on how you played because I haven't seen it but obviously the result tells a story. I could've predicted you'd lose though, you always do after beating us. Never seem to kick on when you need to and that's what brings you down.

Midweek will be fine though. You need a result otherwise you're knocked out pretty much, so inevitably, you'll win, especially if Gerrard plays, because he's bound to hit a screamer when you need him to.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Wenger is a more successful manager generally though. All Rafa's got on him is the one CL win. He's also fantastic at developing young players and his style of football is one of the best in Europe, whereas Rafa's Liverpool are quite drab and robotic, albeit generally very effective.

Half the reason Arsenal haven't won anything lately is because Wenger is obsessed with his 'project' and his stubbornness in not deviating from it. It's not so much to do with his ability.

Anyway, I haven't seen anything of your game today other than the score so can't comment but to be honest I can't say I'm surprised your season is falling apart as I didnt expect you to do as well as last season but I didn't think it'd happen so quickly.

Do you guys think Rafa's time is coming to an end or will the Hicks & Gillette stick with him?

La Liga twice? UEFA Cup?

I can't see Rafa being sacked, they haven't got the money to. But really, at any other club, he'd be gone by now for sure. Generally Liverpool aren't a sacking club though, and the Americans know Rafa has a LOT of fans and they still want the fans' confidence.

Rafa wont walk either, he's too proud and stubborn to say he can't get out of this rut and he'll be determined to get us out of it.

So we're just going to chug along to the end of the season with the same setup. And we will get out of this rut soon enough, I'm sure. Too late for recoveries now though, I honestly feel like our aim now is for a CL place, and that's just not right for a club like Liverpool.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Theirs no comparison in all honesty. Wenger is apart from SAF the best manager to manage in the Premiership. The problem Arsenal have is most their players don't have the same patience Wenger has.
