I think you're clutching at straws, Dags.

It's not that, Dags, it just sounds like a bit of typical sensationalist reporting.
Real and City, maybe but I really don't think Fergie would bother putting in a bid for ANOTHER striker, especially one he'd have little to no chance of getting.
Mike Parry makes a good living out of itTalk Sport are known for talking bollocks
, but it's still quality...
De Rossi is excellent, I think he is actually better than Xabi but he wants to play all his career in Rome. Aquilani is good, but inconsistent.Reading around a few places and it does look like Alonso will be leaving unfortunately. I'm not totally clued up on European football to know the likes of D'Agostino, Aquilani or De Rossi but I have faith in Rafa replacing him with someone with quality![]()

). his role is some sort of a a variation on the theme of an advanced midfielder.... pretty much like iniesta (in italian theese kind of players are called "mezz'ali" wich is something different from the proper advanced midfielder, which is usually called "trequartista").

...his shooting skill, his timing in pushing foward, his physical presence at midfield, his heading... he's better than masherano in many departments to be fair.De Rossi is similar to what Masch is for us. Except better on the ball.

but that depends by the fact he's more versatile and "all around" than mascherano (who is a hell of a defensive midfielder).
completely agree with u about lucho... probably one of the most underrated players in europe in his role.![]()
See the problem i've got with all of this Alonso news is that it's all sourced from one cunt; Guillem Balague. There's no quotes attributed to anyone at Madrid or Liverpool and certainly none attributed to Alonso or his agent.
It's all came from Balague's post on his website last week which said he thinks Alonso has told Benitez he wants to go.
Once Balague says something, the Daily Mail prints it as if it's actual news. The fact is it's been a long time since Balague said anything about Liverpool that was proven to be true.

I've been watching Huddlestone since he was 16.
I've seen him play in the flesh a few times as well.
He's been overlooked strangely by 'Arry in the Tottenham team, Jol turned him from raw talent into a really good player.
With the right application, he will surely become a class player.
Yeah and he's only 21 or 22 isn't he, so plenty more time to develop.
Then you can get Cattermole to replace Masch.
TBH he's gone, all but signed...Anyone else seen the post from the guy on RAWK who went to Xabi's wedding? Didn't sound like there was good news coming from Xabi there either, and not one current Liverpool player there either which is odd.

Call me stupid, but I'd love to see Rafa try to convert Huddlestone into a top class player. He surely has the talent.
What a shame Lucho went to Marsielle. He'd have been great.
