Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Does Alonso fit the profile though? He's not a player to sell shirts in Asia. I think they do need him with all that striking/counter attack speed.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well they confirmed they are interested in him so now all that matters is if they can make a deal with Liverpool and remind Xabi that Rafa no love him.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Falcão is probably the best striker in Argentina 1ª Division. He is a dynamic striker noted for his ability to finish with both feet, he has pace and intensity on his play. He also got good header skills. River will let him go for about 4M€.

Arsenal was rumored to be interested in the Colombian hitman back when looking for Henry`s replacement then we got dudu. I think he is excellent but I would say he`s a Torres carbon copy

Re: Liverpool Thread

well he was good 2 years ago
He was good like 4 years ago, when he appeared in River. But then he had an injure at the knee, and never was the same. I just hope we sell him, but no to Liverpool. Anyway, for 3M€ and for a guy that is not going to be into the 11, dont know if there is any better deal.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Yeh. Got injured last season, which was unfortunate, as he was part of Rafa's first team plans

Re: Liverpool Thread

Oh :P

I'd be pleased with D'Agostino, as long as try to get Sneijder from Madrid. 20M+Sneijder for Xabi and Arbeloa would be good enough, with the money going towards D'Agonstino.

Basic thing is, GET SNEIJDER!

Here is the source

About Sneijder, he is excelent but he gets injured very often. I dont know if it would be a good signing. Plus, its one of thos players that you dont know well in which position he plays, like Robben or Kaka.

Re: Liverpool Thread

That article about D'Agostino says absolutely nothing that makes me think Liverpool are interested in him. Maybe you are but all it says is 'Liverpool have reportedly lined up Udinese playmaker Gaetano D'Agostino as a replacement for Xabi Alonso'. The rest is about Juve and Alonso. Attention grabbing headline for a nothing article IMO. (Cue D'agostino signing for Pool in the morning and me looking like a royal div.)

Re: Liverpool Thread

I read somewhere that Sneijder didnt have the stamina for the spanish league, and is always being subbed after 60min. Anyone know more about that?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Sneijder is a very good player with a fierce long shot and good vision. He's a master of free kicks and a good team-player. His problem, in my opinion, is that he is very unconsistent. He may play incredibly well one game and go unnnoticed the following two. Maybe it's about his confidence and he needs a place where he feels he's needed.

I think it would be a good signing for any team, but I don't know where it woul fit in Liverpool, he plays in the same position as Gerrard and deffensively he's just not that strong and solid to play DMF.

It would be great a great player for Arsenal, I think.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Just looking at the squad numbers for next season, we don't have anyone with shirt number 3, 4, 6 or 7 yet.

Random fact of the day.

Also, no squad number for Dossena interestingly. Pacheco doesn't have a number either :(
