Tonights game should be a good game to watch. (I hope) Surely Madrid our from the school of "score more than you" and Liverpool will try to attack and get that goal to seal the game.

I think it'll be a dull game until someone scores. Once one of them gets a goal, it'll open up and get tasty I think.

But until then I think Rafa will want to protect his 1-0 and not concede an own goal with Ramos not wanting to concede and have to score 3.

Can I just say how much I love the injustice of both of those goals. Go f*ck yourselves Madrid, why would the best player in the world want to join a team that hasn't made it past the CL quarters in 5 years? And please don't complain about refereeing again this season Liverpool.

I thought the first goal was fine, just putting a hand on a shoulder isnt equal to fouling. After all you were all using that same argument to not concede a penalty against blackburn.

Second was very poor, although Heinze's arm does make a "hit the ball" movement it wasnt a pen. Another reason to introduce technology.

Either way we deserve the lead, great to see Real put in their place after all the comments and whinging from them. Shame we hardly ever play like this :(

didnt think that was a pen, but we deserve a 2 goal lead no-one can deny that.

See it out boys, direct is fine as long as you chose to do it at the right time, we can't afford to give them so much possesion, that is their strength.

Yep...........although Ive given up on the league. The match is perfectly set up for you lot to not concede and score a crappy goal on the break/from a corner. Kind of happy I have to go to my GF's parents for a birthday, saves me the depressing sight.

this result people highlights how poor madrid are nowadays - the fallen giants i may say, no one fears playing liverpool in europe any more, they cant cut it - i stand by what i said! AND YOU'RE GONNA CRASH AND BURN AT OLD TRAFFORD - time 12:45, REVENGE IS ON!!!!

pressure is off in the United game IMO, the league is realisitcally over. We may well win every reamining game, although I can't see that but United arent going to lose 2 or 3 at the same time.

We'll either sneak a win, get humped or United sneak a win.

My question = Why not do this every match?

Babel still crap despite his assist too.

Never got on to why everyone rates Casillas but wow, credit to him he deserves the title of worlds best goal keeper - outstanding.

That's why Rafa should be kept. Not the fact that we're a cup team (we're not), we're setup for Europe and all that bullshit. Because, we've outplayed and outpassed one of the form teams in Europe. And we've never imagine doing that before Rafa.

yep the teams I dont want in the quater final? Bayern, they have been missing on the big stage for a few years but mark my words they are a massive club with probably the best attack potentially in Europe.

Chelsea....I'm bored of them, and under Hiddink they do look a lot more solid.

United. This should be the final.....:D

Arsenal. The lesser of the UK teams but i think they will be raring to go in europe with big names coming back, just prefer to play european teams as its the "European Cup"

Part of it though is the difference between the crowd and the tempo of the players compared to a saturday midday kickoff. Totally different, and it shouldn't be.

If we wanna win the league, we need that little bit extra, we have the core, we need the 12th man and we need a 'few' more quality, quality players.

what about barca? if united go through they're the only team i wouldnt want to play barring maybe chelsea just because they've played us so well for the past few years.

You lot shouldn't fear Bayern, you'll shut them out just like you did with Madrid. Seems to me the only way to get at you (especially in Europe) is if the forward line have lots of mobility and pace, something Bayern definitely don't have in Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose (even if they are two of the most lethal strikers in Europe).

I do feel like Platini will make sure the English clubs get each other relatively early because he will definitely not want another all-English final, and probably hates the prospect of two English clubs in the semis as well.
