Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

They're humans after all. Settling in is very normal and vital, and varies among people. Some take their time to settle while others have no issue at all. It surely has to do with his personality and past experiences. People who have been living in one place for so long surely should find it harder to settling in a new place than others, like me for example, who have been always on the move and don't mind being anywhere as long as I have a home and good food :P

i think the biggest issue is the vast differences between the Premier League and Serie A. The Premier League is a much faster league and the players are a lot stronger, you get a lot less time on the ball so he has to think and react a lot quicker than he would have done in Italy. That kind of thing takes a while to adapt to.

I don't think many have made the transition from Serie A to Premier League and adapted quickly. Thierry Henry was pretty poor when he first came over, look at how he turned out.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Last 2 games Dossena has come on we score straight after

Class. The double done and dusted. Least they only won the title because we slipped up against the smaller teams

Re: Liverpool Thread

Good win today. Not as comprehensive as the scoreline, but solid performance. We were two bad bounces (both for Vidic) from being in a much better position. Make no mistake though, this Liverpool team is ridiculously hard to score against when they go up.

Torres is absolutely 100% world class. Probably the best striker playing today.

Re: Liverpool Thread

hes not the best striker in the world imo, the english game just really suits him.

you guys deserved the win though, maybe not 4-1 but definitely the 3 points.

That is also true. We have to take into consideration all the bits and bobs that have different effects on players.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well played, made the most of poor individual performances and took your chances as well as defending solidly.

Re: Liverpool Thread

WOOP WOOP. That is all, serioulsy I'm too delirious to make any form of coherent sense.

The title is still uniteds, but they still have to play Arsenal and Villa... (although so do we) could just make it interesting for once, what with Chelsea potentially in the mix too.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I'm absoloutely overjoyed at that result! When Reina gave the pen away, I thought it was all over. But a great comeback and good performance.

After putting four past Madrid and now United, we're showing what we can do when we put some real effort in. Probably too late for the league unfortunately but .... wow, what a result!

Dossena is the king at scoring that fourth goal against European giants

Re: Liverpool Thread

Dossena - our new striker. Beyond my wildest predictions to win 1-4 at OT. Impressed by the magnamity of Utd fans in this thread so far.

On the other hand, did anyone catch the look of that older geezer behind the Utd goal when the Aurelio free kick went in. "oooooh!" he seemed to be saying...

Certainly makes the last few weeks interesting but its Utd's to lose still really. Might stop the anti-Liverpool bleating from the press for a while, mind.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Did anyone else see that line in the Daily Mirror saying there could be an omen today? Last year United drew their first home game, won their next 12, then lost the 14th.

This season they drew their first home game, won the next 12 ...

Re: Liverpool Thread

Good win lads, Football is a game of margins eh? I thought you lot were going to roll over after Ronaldo tucked his penalty away. a horror show from Vidic gave you a goal which just seemed to stun us. After that it was pretty much you lot we never really looked like scoring.

Hope the result shows everyone the title isnt wrapped up yet and we need to focus now. Am I the only one that gets Deja Vu from this game, Rafa's Keeganesque rant and then when Dossena chipped VDS the first thing I thought about was Albert against Schmikes. :((

Re: Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well, I won't say anything other than well played.

Won't blame our players because you simply outplayed us, with or without mistakes.

Would it have been the same without Torres? I haven't got a clue.

Will it make any difference in the grand scheme of things? Probably not.

But either way, well done.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Great result :D

Managed to see the 2nd half. Liverpool looked pretty comfortable, but that position suits us. Hopefully it will give them an edge against the also-rans, can't help but think it won't though. Might become an interesting run-in, although more likely it will give utd the kick up the arse theyve needed with the "easy" wins they have been getting the past couple of months.

Cheers manu fans, nice to see some realistic comments.

And how good is Dossena?!?!? LMAO

Re: Liverpool Thread

Hopefully, this week shows how good we are under Rafa. And how brilliant the man is.

Get him to sign the contract ASAP.

Heh Arrogant we are not... problem is United got a lot of luck this 2nd half of the season, with Liverpool being a bit off par with their resutls such as the loss to Boro as the one I can remember off the top of my head as well as a couple of draws along with injuries to Torres and Gerrard.

We had a defeat coming for some time now again I just wish it wasn't against Liverpool!

I finish by saying this. 4 points ahead with a game in hand, You have it all to do while we have it all to lose...
