yeh because we talk everton, not euro championships that no british team has qualified for, we dont dream off the likes of villa coming to our club, glad he put that one to bed today on sky sports news.

Ah yes just read that thanks. Well he can say he hasn't heard anything but he never denied a move. Many players/managers do that. Its quite obvious all he wants at the moment is to concentrate on the Euros.

I'd just like to say and it gives me no pleasure in saying this that Rafael Benitez is a fucking muppet for getting rid of Alonso and replacing him with Barry and whats worse is we'll be paying for the privilege. I really hope Martin O'Neill sticks to his guns and demands £20m for Barry eventually it will put Rafa off and he can then go and apologize to Alonso and beg for forgiveness.

I still don't know what to think regarding the Barry/Alonso Saga.

On one hand I think Barry will add something to the team that we lack in midfield, and will compliment Gerrard well, but also I fear we will suffer in Europe, and Xabi is undoubtoubly the more talented player.

Riise to Roma for 4m is great business. :D Hopefully Dossena gets back off his honeymoon and we unveil him soon.

But the club directors insist they have financial plans in place to ensure that neither Villa nor Silva have to leave, and will be delighted to hear the former again insist that he wants to stay.
'I left the club to compete in Euro 2008 and, when it ends, I hope to be going back to Valencia,' Villa told Valencian radio station Radio 9.

Saw this on BBC today. Surely Rafa's calculator is broken (Must've been made by Texas Instruments ;))

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is demanding £50m to secure the transfers of David Villa, Daniel Alves, David Silva and Gareth Barry. (The Mirror)

It's a rehash of another story, where they were saying Rafa might bid £35m for Villa and Silva.

I'm PRETTY sure £35m wouldn't get both of those.

And I'm also pretty sure Alves has already signed for Barca?

There goes my hope of seeing Nemeth playing for the main team this season. If Voronin gets more playing time than Nemeth, something is very wrong.

Yeh, posted it in the United thread. Bloody brilliant!

Apparently, we're in for Niemi as backup keeper for Reina. I think it'll be a brilliant piece of business, and a very astute signing. We'd have our defense properly sorted.
