Suprise suprise the Mancs, Chelsea and Arsenal get home games on the first day of the season and yet again we are away on the the first day. Can't remember the last time we were at Home on the opening day.

At least there's no Super Duper Sunday. Fucking sickens me!

Re: Liverpool Thread

You guys better put him in the ignore list, gives me peace of mind. And you better not quote any of his in this thread :)

Re: Liverpool Thread

Yep, no quotes from B4L please, it's better without seeing him at all :DD He's only bored because there's only him and Chico on his thread so he's just looking for attention.

Throw him on ignore, Abhi ;))

Re: Liverpool Thread

I don't rate Reina really. I think you need a better keeper. Seen him many times but never seemed to convince me. Think he lacks confidence.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Hmmm I think Reina is brilliant personally, one of the better keepers we've had. Personally I'd rather have Reina than Van Der Sarr, who I think Reina is just as good as (MAYBE VDS is slightly better) but also remembering Reina is quite young still.

About young, my friend once said "Why the hell is Liverpool's manager playing in goal??"

That cracked me up

Well maybe if he has more confidence he can surely become Spain's no.1. But till this moment Casillas looks the best with his skills, positioning, jumping, reflexes and most importantly confidence.

I've always liked VDS. Always thought he's confident enough and stretches himself quite well and got some good reflexes but sometimes his rushing out of position is unnecessary and cost Man Utd. Also his pk skills not that much.

My favorite all time GKs are Schmeichel and Buffon. Hope you now understand where i'm coming from now ;))

Re: Liverpool Thread

Reina is brilliant. I won't have another other keeper in the world instead of him. Brilliant shot stopper and quick reflexes. Has a wonderful understanding with Carra as well. He does need to improve on his crosses, but he's still very young. And don't think there's a better sweeper keeper in the world. And his distribution is top class too. There are far more important areas to improve than keeper for us.

True that. I never said he's the weak point of the team though. But if there was a better GK out there I'd surely go for him.

You do have the end product with Torres impressing enough on his first season, and if Villa decides to join then you've got the deadly combo. Add to that effective wide players and a consistent Barry then i think you're in for a treat.

I just fear Rafa's rotation system. It does help keep people fit but it doesn't really help with the team bonding.

Do you think there are better keepers than Reina who are available?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Not much but i think just one. But i know you will laugh  From what i've seen though he's been looking pretty good and i think with a better team he can only get better.

Ehem... Boruc.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Wonder where all the other lads went ..

Bad thing about the Euro's is that these final games start at about 1 AM local time so can't watch! Hopefully Reina'll get a clean sheet.
