Considering all the shit that's gone on through the season then, what are your thoughts chaps? Have we done well considering? Should we have did better considering our signings? Will Rafa stay? Will Hicks stay now that we haven't brought him a huge cash windfall from getting to the CL final or winning it? Lots of questions to be asked I think, it'll be an interesting summer for us, that's for sure.

It's been a weird season for sure Dags, even without the off-field issues. Our goalscoring department is not an issue anymore, but our defending, especially from set-pieces, has taken a step backwards. I think this is due to Agger's injury, our need to bring in Skrtel who has had to adjust to our system, and the lack of pace from our veteran defenders. Also, there have been some problems individually, like with Gerrard, Alonso, and Riise. Gerrard has been okay, not bad, but nowhere the level he's known for. Alonso seems to be getting back on track, which is key to our coordination. Riise always has a place in our hearts, but I think it's time for him to go if he's not willing to accept being relegated to the bench. As for Voronin...well he was signed on a free so no biggie here I guess.
And what happened to Finnan? He was rock solid last year and the years before.
For next season, I think we need a left back (along with the blooding in of Insua), perhaps another pacy CB, and maybe a winger, though our top priority remains a left back. Anything else would be bonus, or even too much.

I dont think we need a left back as Aurelio is good enough with Insua as a backup.
I do think we could do with a left and right sided winger. Babel needs to play more up front, but then I'd like to see Nemeth get some games next season too.

Born and bred in Bootle, less than 5 minutes from Anfield. Been attending since the late seventies /early eighties. Grew up with Carragher in Bootle, attend all/most home games. i now live even closer to Anfield on the border of Liverpool and Walton.

To be honest I'm really getting sick of some of the shit in here. As soon as we don't win a game we get knobs coming in and trying to get a rise out of people and causing arguements with Liverpool fans. It takes the piss, it creates a shit atmosphere and it's not what I want to see when I come here.
No, I'm nobody special here, I'm just an average member like everyone else but I'm fucked if I'm coming onto this site after every match to have to put up with childish shit from people like Plan M and Blue4Life (who will no doubt post some shit up tomorrow) and try to get people's backs up again. It's a joke and people need to pay a bit more respect and see that if a team hasn't won a game, not to come in and start taking the piss. Banter is banter but there are certain people who are crossing the line and it's going further than banter.
CW, Mart, Kezz, Tim, whoever. Please sort something out here because it's just going downhill in these club threads as far as I can see.
And I also expect someone to say to me if I don't like it, then to leave. And that will be the case if this childish shit doesn't stop or if one of the mods/admins asks me to leave. But this needs to end.

To be fair i found Plan M's first few post's hilarious but you did go over the top mate, It was a HUGE game today and Liverpool lost, i know i would be gutted if we had gone out the night before so i can understand their anger with the post's. Overall i thought you lot gave it your all and also you can't be greedy with European cups you already have 5!
