Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Gutted :|

I dunno what else to say. We're far from this "lucky" team that everyone brands us though, VERY dodgy that we didn't get the penalty when Hyppia was fouled and the ref put the whistle to his lips. And the fact the first goal was offside.

But really though, why take Torres off? Can someone explain why one of the worlds hottest strikers gets brought off in one of the biggest games of the season? I'm stumped. Just ... stumped.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Congratulations to Chelsea, better team just on the night.

BUT NOW EVERYONE CAN SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT DODGY PENALTIES, GHOST FUCKING GOALS BY LUIS GARCIA AND THE REST OF THE CONTINUAL SHITE WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH AFTER SOME OF THE DECISIONS TONIGHT.

Re: Liverpool Thread

And when you NEED goals too...

Benitez should have kept his mouth shut about Drogba, and should have never subbed Torres. Maybe he knows he's on the way out?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Is there a possibility that Liverpool will be saved from the disaster called Benitez after this game?

Re: Liverpool Thread

replay shows Drogba`s 1st goal came from an offside kalou... it happens lovely goals for a neutral even if drogba interfered by blocking that goal was sweet from essien

Edit: Babel won me over tonight what a crack must of been taught by Gerrard

So because he said that, Drogba played a blinder? Everyone knows Drogba is a MASSIVE talent, Benitez is an admired of his qualities. The frustrating thing is that he is a cheat. Blocking Reinas view for instance. Some might say thats allowed but it smacks of cuntishness.

I'm really proud of the lads. Torres off was a little strange, but heck Babel scored ffs and I thought we looked dangerous with him on. Babel has the qualities Torres has and it being blooded for the CF role eventually.

Some things just aren't meant to be, and no-one can claim otherwise as to the fact that Chelsea got the rub of the green.

I haven't had another look at Drogba's second, think that was onside tbh. But offside for the first and that freak O.G. Its hard to fight back from that. Hyypia a defo pen

We won't bang on about it for years though. 5 years ago we were wallowing in the UEFA Cup, and now look where we are, consistently challenging for the Champions League.

He's far from a disaster, FAR from it. He's clearly a very talented manager. But he does make some odd decisions at times ...

:tumble:

Re: Liverpool Thread

There was no need for Benitez to say it, he just fired up Drogba more, you could tell from the first celebration.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well played to Chelsea. Theren were a few dodgy decisions, but no excuse, Chelsea were better on the day.

Rafa lost the plot today. He really did. What does Kuyt provide that Torres does not? And poor performance from our most experienced players - Sami, Gerrard (especially), Alonso.

Still proud of the boys. We had some really tough games, but managed to reach here, 3 semis in 4 years.

Well done, and we'll be back next year again!

Feels shit doesn't it?? :w00t:

Chelsea's first goal, ONSIDE.
They then had a perfectly good goal disallowed in extra time.
Hyypia took a tumble, NEVER a penalty.

Get over it, the best team won over the 2 legs.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Gerrard was disappointing..! What's wrong with him these days? Is it a confidence issue? He doesn't seem to grab the game by the scruff of the neck anymore... :(

I guess I'm a little bitter right now. I know he's been succesful with his resources, but I still don't like him and i dont know if I ever will.

I think their first goal could've been called both ways..some would've given it others wouldn't have. As for Hyypia's tumble, he was hacked down by Dogbreath.

Let's just say, if it were not for Rafa, we'd be out in the round of 16.

Oh, and Babel will be star.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Did Torres take a knock or was he too tired? Everyone looked tired after FT but he didn't look especially hurting or anything...weird

No I don't feel bad actually. We put in more of a fight than your gutless, bunch of arrogant primadonnas

Chelsea were the better team and they have the better players, but their goals were dubious to say the least.:((

Re: Liverpool Thread

After my discussion with Jonney, I can't be arsed entertaining any bitter Arsenal fans trying to see things every way which meant Liverpool were going to lose. No point as they're clearly not going to see things any other way.

I'm just completely shocked right now. Torres has an injury, right? Has Rafa gave an interview? Why did he take him off?

First goal Drogba was level, thats onside, check the rule book.
Their penalty was stonewall.
Third goal was a great move.

In between that they have a perfectly good goal disallowed.

Not really sure what you are complaining about tbh...:DUMMY:

Fuck off you you sour bastard. honestly get over it. Youve been whinging for ages over that arsenal penno.

And by the way - Essiens goal was offside because Drogba was standing right in front of Reina in an offside position. Do you not know anything about football you clown? And change your avatar, its gay.

good game guys Torres goal was good, good build up. Babel is a star in the making or is he already a star... but strange torres was off and babel came on...

No one's complaining really, but Kalou (not Drogba) was clearly offside.

Why do you come to stir shit up? We've admitted that Chelsea were the better team, and deserved to go through.
