Was never convinced with his arrival and he has done nothing to prove wrong skeptics.some could argue it was outside of the box, some could argue it was a shoulder barge
either way risky challenge by the young lad.
simply not good enough today. Caroll has lots to prove, really not a fan yet.

So far, except against City, we have played horrible football when he is in the team.
i would judge him after some more games..
afterall he came from injury + he has no wingers to provide him with crosses, he had chances today that could be goals..
i would not say we played "horrible" today.. spurs were amazing and we could as well draw today, we had chances as well.. + the decisions by Webb again were questionable...i kind of expect not to win if he´s our referee...
Every player has a good game. A 35M player should a lot more consistent and have more influence in the game. We really look terrible with him in our side and brilliant these last games when he wasnt.. I think it was an irresponsible transfer from Kenny.
I think you always have to take into account the value of the player and his contract, when you are going to analyze. With wingers and a creative player in the midfield, he may start being more consistent, but so far, with him in the team we had play horrible football and as Kenny himself said a few days ago you got to be responsible with your money, and paying 35M in the overrated January market for a player that had injured himself drunk on a casino, is not being responsible. What's the price got to do with it? Everyone knows he wasn't really valued at £35m by Liverpool but we needed to replace Torres quickly and we agreed that the Torres asking price would be whatever Newcastle wanted for Carroll plus £15m, so it's harsh to criticise Carroll based on the price.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that he's been injured so he's bound to be a bit off the pace and as Meireles was injured it made sense to start him. When he's fully fit (and we have Gerrard back in the middle) i'm sure he'll prove his worth to the team.

Talking about horrible football with Carroll in a team without wingers is stupid.
well, i´m calmed enough.. i think we need to start season properly and give him time to settle to new club and new team mates...
He will obviously always have this price tag on his head, wich is bad to be honest.. but we should give him chance before we judge him..
it´s very bad how some fans lack patience with some players ..

Totally agree with you.The thing is the constant use of "we HAD to replace Torres instantly"
Why? He's a great player but at the time and just like now, he wasn't really firing on all cylinders or anything and Suarez was coming in so 1 in and 1 out. what was the rush of WE NEED SOMEONE NOW?! couldn't you have waited till the Summer, realistically you weren't going down and you weren't getting into the top 4 so why not see how Suarez and the team performs for the rest of the season (pretty good it turns out) and then spend that 35M in the Summer.

Suarez we couldn´t risk with keeping it without Torres replacement..what if Suarez needed more time to adapt and didn´t played as now..?
surely youre talking bout the risk we took on carroll?

Those 5 minutes seemed enough for you to judge the likes of Flannagan or Spearing.oh man, Suarez was bought to play alongside Torres, Torres was gone so we needed to buy his replacement.. Carroll is great replacement and he give us many goals..he scored against us in Newcastle shirt...out of all the CF in premier league, i would only take Bent over him atm. Bent was signed with Villa so we took Carroll...i´m 100% sure Kenny watched him before we bought him...
give him a chance ffs, he´s been 5 minutes at the club and already he´s not good enough...
