Gerrard not included in the squad for the Braga game. I think we've got the players to cope without him but it's a shame Suarez is also missing.

I'm still not convinced by this. He played the week after Keane took him out, and had surgery on the other knee later that season.

(and yes, I know wikipedia says otherwise)

Doesn't really matter, Keano went to hurt him, which is unforgiveable for a pro.

And I still think Carragher tried to do a reducer on Nani. Not necessarily break his leg, but definitely doing a 'well I may get the ball but more importantly I'm damn well going to get the man'.

You'll get no denial from me, it was obvious to everyone that Carragher tried to take him out. I don't honestly believe he tried to break his leg/end his career etc. But he wanted to let Nani know he was there and he wasn't getting past him easily.

excited about tonight´s match against Braga..i think we could get a result but a draw is more possible..

Carroll might play but with number 29..

What is it with Liverpool and away performances where we seem to forget how to do the basics like pass, tackle, move and shoot? We're just a completely different team and it's awful to watch.

Liverpool need to resist the urge when Carroll is on playing hoofball. Only tuned into the last 15 minutes, but that's pretty much been the whole gameplan.

He is huge though isn't he. Cripes.

It's okay, we had Carragher and Kyrgiakos doing long hoofs even before Carroll come on.

Definitely a worry that it's going to be Crouch V2 again though.

another shocking and boring performance...but Braga made it dificult with some very nasty tricks...i think we will be different again on anfield but this match was waste of time.. only good thing was to see Carroll potential.. he is something between Crouch and Heskey together...Tall, strong and quick...looking forward to see him play more..

and i hope we get in summer players who will provide him with good crosses...

Loosing to Braga is not a disgrace, they have a very good team.

It's not the losing, Gerd. It's the way we played in Europe again. Like I said earlier, it was almost like we forgot how to pass, how to control a ball, how to move into space, how to get a shot. All the basics seemed to be missing last night and the only thing we were capable of we're hopeful hoofing from Carragher and Kyrgiakos.

I'm confident we'll beat them at Anfield but Kenny really needs to find out what exactly went wrong last night and fix it up, quickly.

agree, we play horrible away matches, like if we don´t care to win or play very unusuall lineups...

then we have to fear on anfield..i remember many predicted we will smash Sparta but they actually played good at anfield...

if Braga scores on anfield we will not qualify so easy ..

DC has his players, Dalglish has his thoughts on them and most go for both.

Feedback from potential targets is positive. Liverpool will always be a big draw for top players.

Players are well aware of the project we are on. Suarez was fully aware back in November.

Personally i would love to see these two players in England and Liverpool. I used to play football with Hazard's fathers (USC Braine, two divisions below the Conference to translate this to England). Last year i saw him and then he told me who his son is.

He was adamant that Eden would go to Arsenal...
If Hazard would play for Liverpool i would heavily sympathize with them...

Yes, this two players could transform our team to real contender...

apparently we are also after a new back up CF...Van Volfswinkel of Utrecht..

most positive thing all this targets are young but aleady very quality players..

i still think we need one SOLID and not injury prone CB and LB..

anyway the summer will be interesting.

If Liverpool get even ONE of those 2 players, I'll consider it a huge success. Let alone both.

It can happen but like Gerd, I doubt it. Hazard will most likely stay and play CL football with his beloved LOSC next year (especially if they won't win the league and can challenge for it next year and finish the 'job' or possibly as champions of France if things continue as they are right now) and if not, I think Wenger and Arsenal have had their eyes on him and likewise for much longer. Then there's always Barca, Real and other big guns who are waiting for him should he reject the Gunners.

Alexis Sanchez similarly has admirers from far and wide with Italian giants Inter waiting for him as well as likes of Fergie and Mourinho at Real and Man Utd.

If I were a Liverpool fan, I'd LOVE it if we could get even ONE of those players. I wouldn't get too excited though because I think you'll most likely get disappointed as they'll end up elsewhere.

But there are plenty other good young players and I think Liverpool will get some of those. So either way, this is a great new era and I for one am looking forward to it.

i think money talks in football..but also the profile of the club is still high.. I know i can´t expect us sing this players, but yet alone the names are good sign something´s going on in the club and we are moving right direction.. the time will tell. But players like this guys need to play in starting lineup and also need to play in world´s best leagues.. wich we could offer them + nobody knows how much our new owners are prepeared to spend in their first big summer window..

Neither will come if Pool aren't in any kind of European competition next year. And with Bolton/ Stoke claiming the 6th place, doesn't that mean they have to finish 5th/ win the cup?

Yep. Being out of Europe will harm chances of getting players but the name will still attract players regardless. And our future looks a lot brighter, which will also be taken into account.

Not all players are like Torres and want immediate success or they'll jump to the next ship ;)

Personally i think Liverpool would be a very good team for Hazard.
But he seems to think that Arsenal is the ideal preparation for the ultimate goal: Real Madrid.

that´s why we are buing or want to buy this type of players - young players who can sign for long term and help us get back to top 4 and CL.

Not many players can turn of the offer from Liverpool FC, we still are attractive club with history and fans like no club in England and only few in Europe..

I belive we are about to see a rebuilding summer..

I would not think Hazard is bound to play somewhere...
...i think this days it´s all about the MONEY.

No offense, I know the name is something (soon that'll be all us United fans will have too) but why would Sanchez choose Liverpool over United, Inter or Real?

Even City will be in Europe, and probably offer double the wages.

becouse United, Inter, City and Real have already wingers, not just one..that are in starting lineup..

OK maybe Inter would need him also..but they play 433..and they have already wings covered + more strikers able to play on wings..

More rumours about Dzsudzsak moving to Liverpool. €13 Million is the reported fee.
