Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Benitez's stock has dropped since he was sacked at Inter, can't see him getting another big job any time soon, not least at Juve. If he does, he won't last long before clashing with the hierarchy and getting sacked.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

What??

He pretened to have a shit on a Torres shirt and you're saying that's enough to provoke a murder?? FFS :FAIL:

The geezer's a fantastic actor and a proper 'pool fan, he did what most fans off the streets would've done.
I thought it was funny as fook and fair play to him for having the balls to do it on TV.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I dont think Rafa don´t have job offers

But a break in football will do him good..imagine how much he was paid just to cancel the contracts in LFC and Inter..

He still achieved more than other managers could dream about..

I dont worry for him to be without job, he is milionaire guys..

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Tony Barrett saying he has it on good authority that Carroll is out for 3 weeks, not the rest of the season. Typical scaremongering while trying to make up a news story by the Mirror.

Yeh, what people are missing is that those quotes in that article are from December ffs so add 2 and a half months from December and you come to March, he's starting running tomorrow and should be back in 2-3 weeks. Piss poor journalism at it's best.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I dunno who the heck is he but he isn't an (educated) liverpool / football fan.

(Cockney accent) He, me old san is Tommy the tit from the film "Snatch" and if he isn't taking a shit on Torres's shirt, then he facking should be.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Line ups;

Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Anelka, Torres, Drogba. Subs: Turnbull, David Luiz, Malouda, Ferreira, Kalou, McEachran, Sala.
Liverpool: Reina, Skrtel, Carragher, Agger, Kelly, Lucas, Meireles, Johnson, Gerrard, Maxi, Kuyt. Subs: Gulacsi, Aurelio, Suarez, Jovanovic, Kyrgiakos, Ngog, Poulsen.
Referee: Andre Marriner (W Midlands)

Looks like the same formation as against Stoke. You would expect Liverpool to be able to be stronger in Midfield and hopefully get some control of the match. Neither Anelka, Drogba or Torres will be coming back and helping the midfield much imo, so it will Chelsea's 3 against Liverpool's 5. Then again, it will be Anelka, Torres and Drogba against Agger, Skrtel and Carra. :(

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

LOL i got the lineup almost 100% right yesterday

only thing else is that Kuyt will start from beginning :)

GOOO REEDSSSS!!

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Good defending by our centre backs, not giving Chelsea much of a chance. Also noticable that we've reverted back to hitting long balls again since Carragher has returned to the team :BRICK:

Also good game so far by Gerrard who's been everywhere and put in a very good half.

Same can't be said for Maxi, Lucas or Kuyt though. Passing, control and movement from those three in particular has been shocking at times and Maxi is never going to forget that miss from 2-3 yards out.

Chelsea more likely to win I'd reckon but we could sneak it.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

We are getting more of the ball in midfield...

poor touch at times....costing us...
we should be leading...

I just hope we don't regret it....but I would bring off Maxi
and get Suarez playing off Kuyt...let Meireles drop a bit behind.

We need to be careful passing it around in our own third...
sooner or later they will punish us....

Carragher has been good back.... Kuyt can do better..hopefully
with Suarez coming on...

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

MUCH better second half where I can't fault any of the players. Lucky at the end where a penalty could easily have been given for the barge by Johnson but it's nice to get a decision like that go our way for a change ;)

Four wins in a row, four clean sheets.

No manager could do better with this set of players than Roy Hodgson. Nobody has a magic wand and it takes time for a manager to get his ideas across. Kenny disagrees. Oh, and he's doing pretty well considering so many were dismissing him straight away because he'd not managed for so long and he didn't know the modern game.

And lastly, who needs Torres when we've got Meireles :SMUG:

well what about dicussing Glen Johnson's charge to Ivo? imo penalty should have been given.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I just... I just got no words. And i've almost cried when i heard You'll Never Walk Alone at the end.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Goodbye Kid, wish you more matches like this in Blue..

the reds are back !!

:D

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!

But to be honest, Chelsea was disappointing, no flow, no nothing. Pool had a plan and executed, plain and simple. And Merieles was at the right place and the right time.

@OliverKayTimes
Oliver Kay

Remarkably, Liverpool now have more points (6) from three league games under Dalglish than they got from 10 under Hodgson

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Excellent win! Although how on earth Maxi Rodriguez managed to hit the bar from that close, we'll never know.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I thought that there is no way we can win this match without Suarez... I was wrong, now we all can see that without Torres, Liverpool is rebirth. Every single player got motivation and working for club and himself, not for Torres.
