Iaquinta is good as 3rd or 4th striker. Reliable and Versatile. But like you say, he should not be Trezeguet's replacement. That should be Amauri ;).
 
actually i didn't mean to say iaquinta could be a good 3rd or 4th pick. i love iaquinta, maybe he's not a world class striker but still he's great.
i just meant to say that his role, is position on the pitch and his abilities are different from trezegol's one. it could be nice to see him playing beside or behind trezegol, coz that's his position on the pitch... but u already have del piero and palladino, so in that position u should be already ok.

That's what makes him a good 3rd pick to me. He can cover both DP's role and Trezeguet's(or whoever replaces him) role. I don't consider him to have the same quality as the former two though, in either role, hence 3rd pick.

Seems Palladino's immediate future at juve could be in the balance. With Ranieri wanting to have Miccoli in the squad for next season.

didn't know about ranieri wanting miccoli back. then i hope palladino will end at napoli on loan. players like him deserve a place in a serie a club starting formation, and napoli would be perfect... palladino-calaiò... wow!

but what about the central midfielder spot? till a couple of weeks ago i heard somthing about frings... but nobody is talking about it anymore.... why?... i mean if there's a player juve MUST buy, that player is a central midfielder.

EDIT: right now i'm reading juve sold balzaretti to fiorentina!!!! :shock:

The central midfielder spot? Well Frings was close, but he decided to remain with Bremen and renewed his contract with them. But yes, the midfielder position is one of the priorities. Having said that, I personally wouldn't mind seeing Marchisio as a starter..

Edit: Regarding Balzaretti... Good question.. I figure the board will rely on Chiellini and Molinaro to be better than Balza. And who knows, maybe it was done so that Fiorentina will not pursue Barzagli anymore.

i already knew about almiron, who is good enough for juve, but still u need 1 central midfielder more (maybe a lil more experienced than almiron)
mavuba would be a great buy, not so sure about sissoko. marchisio is very, very talented, one of the most exciting surprises of last year's juve.... but i think he still needs a loan experience to have a "soft welcome" in serie a.
 
I was never a big fan of Frings, so didn't lose any sleep over missing out on him :mrgreen:.

I think Marchisio should be good enough for juve's squad next season. I fear losing him permanently, if he were to be loane., These loan doals often turn for the worst for the player, before dissapearing into the void. Talents like Marchisio should be nurtured.

Having Almiron, Zanetti, Mavuba and Marchisio for the central positions doesn't look bad to me.
 
Doesn't look bad to me either but it is always nice to have one tall central midfielder who can win you aerial battles and headers and ultimately as a result of those won aerial battles, posession in the middle of the field or in attacking/defensive positions when the ball is up in the air. Momo Sissoko and Vieira aren't great headers of the ball but they fit the bill as to what I'm talking about and I'd personally like to have one out of my CM's, something like those two, if I were a manager.

Not a requirement for success though and definitely not as important to have as at least one tall striker. ;)

As for Frings, he's awesome but I'm delighted to hear he's staying at Werder. :D
They're most likely gonna lose Klose and last thing I'd want to see is for them to become even weaker by losing another key player. Not to mention if he was to move, Bundesliga would have one less world-class player which isn't what I want to see since I'll be following both Serie A AND Bundesliga and therefore wish both the very best in the future and want both to be exciting but not at expense of each other. ;)

@lo zio, I'll get back to your reply on the Serie A thread later I guess. Because I don't want to make my old friend 'juveboy' mad for going off-topic. :p ;)

Gabby Milito seems to be close now too, I'm feeling very positive atm, I think we are moving in the right direction & the aquisitions we have currently made will help us immensely for the following season.In regards to Trezeguet,his gesture towards the president was child like & I amougst other Juventini did not appreciate that, he should have just gone quietly, let me give u a comparison here.Del Piero under Capello was subbed nearly every game but our beloved captain never spit his dummy!!! granted I thank Trez for staying and getting us back into Serie A, and for his goals but I dont think we will miss him as much as we may think we will if we sign someone like Huntlaar from Ajax.
 
Yes, in that case, you probably won't miss him as much but it's also gonna be a lot more expensive to bring in a forward (one of the most sought after in the world forwards in fact) to your club and one that his current club doesn't want to sell, so you have to even pay over the real market value than to keep your already great striker by offering the contract he doesn't think is a joke.

Just like lo zio said. Keeping Trez will be a lot cheaper than buying someone like KJH. Plus, KJH will have to adapt to a new team and league which can take quite a while for some players and never fully happen for others where as Trez would have to do none of that and probably feels more at home in Turin and Serie A than France even!

But of course, what he did was stupid and unprofessional and he should pay for it.

p.s. If Gabi Milito news is true and really close to being done for Juve, then congratulations. :applause:

But I've heard he's also in talks with several other big clubs, so I'm not too convinced myself until I see him holding a Juve jersey. But when that does happen (if it does), all you guys can break open a champagne. ;)

moreover trez value nowadays is even lower coz his contract will expire in 1 year. so juve will earn almost nothing by selling david and will "overpay" klaas (coz i guess a lot of clubs will fight for huntelaar this summer).

i agree his attitude wasn't polite or fair.... but let's put things in perspective... he gave one year of his professional carreer to juventus (as juveboy correctly remarked). also del piero and buffon did it..... but david isn't italian (i have a "religious" respect for alex, but i don't think he would have accepted to play one year in ligue 2 ;) ).
moreover david always felt like he was a lil underestimated by juve (i guess u all remember how much he had to "fight" to have the same wage of del piero..:roll: ).

so let's give him the credit he deserve.... and the contract he's waiting for :mrgreen:
afterall, he's still 30 years old... he still has a lot to offer to juve and to serie a.

next year juve will have a lot of young guys; palladino, paro, chiellini, maybe marchisio too.... having an experienced player like david could be really useful.

not to mention that he already knows very well serie a and italian football, as PLF said ;) , wich is very important (especially when u have a lot of "young guns" in your team ;) )

about milito... if juve will really sign him, then i'll break open a nero d'avola (don't like champagne so much :mrgreen: ).... coz this would mean having barzagli in palermo for 1 year more \\:o/

i dont think zamparini wud release amauri despite his threats of selling his entire team. and besides if anyone is to replace trez is either huntelaar who i know u rate as not ready dom, but my other preference is quagliagol :)

sorry bro but i feel trez' frustration i mean forced to stay in serie B and to be offered a new contract with a wage deduction is beyond insulting for a player who i consider is the best in the box i probably wud of done the same to be honest, and at least he declared that his fans - being us juventini are his allies. Moggi and the old board wud never of allowed trez to leave this easily and im sad to see him go, and i fear we will let him go for far less than the 12 mill i rate him to be

he isnt all we should be celebrating, almiron too, but best of all roumer has it we are going for lucho gonzalez after ranieri has admitted that sissoko is not good enough, if that wasnt enough, van der vaart has been mentioned as part of juve's plans
 
well ranieri came to his senses about sissoko and realised that hes not good enough for juve, hence why he wants lucho eho he sees as the perfect midfielder for juve. p.s the german newspaper the Bild claims we are in advance talks with van der vaart, how reliable that is im not certain, but secco did admit that they wud sign a good attacking mid with good feet, van der vaart? diego? :)
 
It is done thing for Milito...& now the club has turned to Barzagli as probably Miccoli will be involved in a deal with Palermo...Barzagli rejected Fiorentina as he wants to play for Juve next season...:-)

About strikers, everything depends on Trezguet's sale to Valencia?

We will go for Huntelaar or if we cant get him Rolando Bianchi will come...both are really good solutions imo

About Quagliarella, in fact Juve havenegotiated for him but it is obsurd to pay such money for an unproven player...
Almiron would arrive but problem is that Empoli wants Paro at all costs and Ranieri already stated that Paro is regular in his views...

So, only we cant replace Nedved as Van der Vaart was ideal move but I dont think we can get him...

If we sell Camoranesi to Inter I think Cruz could be part of the deal :-(...so we will spare some money and easily win title next season :-)

Lucho would be an amazing signing.

World-class player, extremely well rounded and just one heck of a player who still has many good years left in him and is still not even at his peak in my opinion. He can get a bit better.

But, it'd require a heck of a lot of $$$ to take him away from Porto.

Not only is he their true star, but also captain and especially after sale of Anderson and having bagged a lot of money from that, they're by no means desparate to get rid of their most important player.

I think a crazy offer would have to come in (over real value which is high enough by itself) from any club that wants him to convince Porto to sell.

I really doubt Paro is staying. Marchisio has proven to be more talented, while we bring in new central midfielders, with Paro probably being makeweight.

ranieri too is a fan of paro perhaps thats why this almiron deal hasnt concluded yet. is there anyone ranieri doesnt like? i bet even on a social scale he has no enemies
 
Juve to tour england

As i had expected since i knew juve were gona play newcastle in pre season as part of the mr boumbastic deal juve will tour england, its strongly roumered that not only will they face newcastle but middlesboro and west ham are lined up.

if its the case im off to upton park next month :D

i think thats what all this delay in the almiron deal is about - paro i mean god sakes just wrap it up already cuz its wasting effort and time trying to capture a partner. if its taking this long to wrap up a fairly unknown player especially outside italy, god knows how long it wud take our management to wrap up a major coup. problem is too many ppl poking their nose, sack secco hes done f*ck all he actually hasnt signed any1 significant and let bettega do his job the one whos been doing all the negotiating so far.

im more inclined to play vdv attacking mid and play a diamond midfield. i seriously hope nocerino stays, deputy to almiron, not sure if tacchi is still up for the job. ur also forgetting molinaro. with him the scudetto will be wrapped up by xmas :D
