Is FC25 better than PES 21?

Sounds great. Is this on assisted or FUMA? Just out of curiosity. Any mods being used?
FUMA (PA0 and advanced shooting).

No mods as I play on PS4. Only an option file for kits and rosters. See my signature below for detailed settings (or my About page on mobile).

As you can see from my settings, my camera is rather close to the action. I find this better replicates the feeling of actually being on the pitch.
Especially with PA0 this makes things somewhat intense, enough for my football instincts to kick in. The radar will have to become your friend of course but the closer cam allows me to notice subtle movements or imbalances and react to them in the heat of the moment.

@koningfrikandel When you go PA0, you might want to consider some XP Master grips.
I am using the level 3 ones and the extra height and grip gives you just that extra precision and confidence in your passing.
I've tried multiple different grips over the years but these feel by far the best and are the only ones that do not jump of my stick when things get intense.
Keep in mind that you will want to replace them after a while because the silicon does wear out pretty quickly under intense use (and you get some debris from that on your controller). Bol.com has the best offer.

After years of playing PES and PES21 i am just now coming to this realisation. I've tried fuma before but found it too tiring. With @Twiggy 's mods I'm giving this another go and committing to it. It's really hard, I've just scored one goal but it felt so rewarding. The difference in behaviour in how the AI approaches things is instantly noticeable as well.

I still think PES2011's passing system was the best middle ground between FUMA and assisted, but this looks very promising and fair so far.
I am the same way. I really like PES 2011's intermediate passing, like a 0.5 PA!

BTW, this might interest you: https://evoweb.uk/threads/intermediate-pass-assistance-pa-0-5.93165/#post-4096900

It's a PES 2021 gameplay by Master @incas36 (posted with his permission) which gives the passing an intermediate setting! (also included are instructions on how to create this setting in modding).

Hope you find it useful! :TU:

This looks intriguing for sure. Will be trying this out! Thanks for sharing bro.

100% - i was PES all the way from ISS days to PES 2008 then i switched to FIFA and was all in on FIFA up to 2016. Then back to PES 17 onwards. Now of FL24 with a ton of mods and its probably the best ive played in regards what im looking for.

If FIFA or whoever release something better then im all in but until then ill stick with what i consider the best representation of football and i dont mean 100% sim. I want a good amount of realisim with some excitement and challenge.
Again exactly the same as me šŸ˜‚ like identical. I did always buy PES too (apart from 09, think that's the only one I haven't had since iss) but i played FIFA 08-17 then back to PES since.

Can add you to the list with @Chris Davies to check opinions on new games in future šŸ¤£

Hello, do you have a link to OF? I havenā€™t found a good PS4 one for 2024/25

PES 2021 is one of the weakest PES since PES 2008 and PES 2020. The team structure is so rigid and the AI is so robotic and have only like 2-3 ways to score. Player individuality is non existent as Harry Maguire outpace Mbappe without the ball. Also every player have very similar animation too and feels like clones so you have teams like Norwich playing like prime Barca. PES 2021 do have nice player model and I also like the ball physics. FC 25 with player roles also feels a bit rigid like PES 2021 but CPU AI is pretty good this year. I have conceded goals in like atleast 10 different ways and player attributes impact everything in FC 25 including custom animation styles for certain player and technical player really standing out. The ball physics sucks and the player model is not that good. For me, the last good PES was 2019 and it's still the PES I play to this day.

I think in terms of visuals with player models, animations and such, PES 2021 is better.
In terms of replayability, gameplay and fun, FC 25 is much better and it also have a very good career mode.

I am interested in the question/debate as an undecided consumer. However, I appreciate that the most popular game modes are primarily not single player, which give the most traction for growth. What is the likely verdict on simulation mode?

In my opinion pes21 ball physics is better than Fc25 one only about First touch.
Shooting is way better on FC.

PES 21 Problems:

- Stumbling animation and player ball awareness
- Boring repetitive AI
- Soulless shooting

FC25 problems:

- Defenders only interested in1v1 and never engaging
- No midfield battle
- Broken difficulty levels that can't be fixed with sliders (99% pass accuracy and every shot is a goal)

Just go for FC25. Eventually mods will get it way more fixed than PES21.
