I can't wait til there's more on this, some of the stores and stuff look awesome. I hope I can control myself... I want a Red Bull plane.

Personally I'd rather they had updated the PS Store and given us Europeans the Street Fighter HD that everyone else got a few weeks ago!

You're not going to be forced into using those extras though - so you'll get out of it what you choose. For gamers they can use the party functions and game launching - for social people they can meet up, chat and play games in home and then you have the personal spaces where you can check out videos and images storred on your friends HDDs.

I think this is all awesome stuff.

Have they announced no PS Store update this week?
 
Well there is some Singstar, Guitar Hero WT and rockband DLC coming tomorrow so maybe we'll get more stuff on the store as well.

For anyone wondering how to get home tomorrow...

* Once the Open Beta is up and running the Home icon will be on your XMB under PlayStation®Network. If you cant see it please restart your PS3 which will update your XMB. However, wait until Home is up and running first

* Home will be available to everyone who has a PlayStation®Store

So it's not coming with the ps store update - it will just randomly POP up on your XMB when sony set the servers going.
 
Judging by whats been posted on the official forums, HOME is currently offline and will be up again in 2 hours.

Will we be able to import pictures from our HDD's for our personal spaces?

Thats what I've been wondering today - that was one of the cool features in all the promo vids over the last 18 months. Being able to hang your own pictures will fully personalise your space.

They shouldnt even be censored as you cannot get into someones space without an invite (is that right) - so no different to the multitude of animal pornography that hangs on the walls in all our homes (right?)...
 
* Technical updates are progressing and as you have probably seen the 1.03 patch is available for existing users already but the service remains unavailable whilst work is carried out

* Service should be back up everywhere early PM UK time although theres no specific time as theres a long list of actions being worked through in Europe, America, Asia and Japan

* New comers to the service will find the Home icon on their XMB once we activate it. You wont have to look for it, it will be easy to spot and will appear under PlayStation®Network. However, if you are online on your PS3 when we activate it you will need to restart your PS3 for it to appear. Watch these forums for news on when that is. It will work like Folding@Home in that the icon will be there and you'll download the service when you first select it.

Not there yet, the testing is still going on, but I wanted to mention a couple of other things that need clarification.

The Far Cry2 and Uncharted spaces will not be available in our region today as the localisation and testing phase is not yet complete. They will follow on later.

Additonally the Diesel and Ligne Roset content will be added next week at the same time as the Red Bull Air Race.

Testing complete and a couple of technical problems have been found. We need to iron these issues out first and I'm waiting to hear how long that might take (I'm not qualified to even guess, its very technical). Apologies, I know you all want to get in but we must get these things right. And please remember, this is a beta and today is our first step into the Open Beta environment and what we're doing today is part of the beta process itself.

Typical SCEE!! We wont have it until next week! Even the Americans get the Uncharted & Far Cry 2 spaces!
 
I managed to walk around the square for a minute, pop out my Running Man dance and then it disconnected. :(
