[General Discussion] What have you been playing this week?

During the holyday period I was a lot into having some fun with crafting/survival fps like Subnautica, No Man's Sky, Pacific Drive, The Long Dark, Raft...
plus some cozy games like Stardew Valley, Terraria or Starbound; don't know why but every Christmas/New Year's holyday I'm coming back to this genre... :D

@etb10dmk I love Stardew Valley! It's an interesting combination of being really relaxing and always having something to do lol

Yes, those pixelated voxel based games have their special charm for me especially during Christmas... Lots of fun crafting your tools, base building, cleaning, planning, planting crops, taking care of animals, exploring and interacting with npcs. It's like doing stuff outside, though outside you're doing actually nothing... :LMAO:

I tried Stellar Blade on PS5 as it was compared to BM Wukong as both are action/hack'n'slash/Souls like almost for difficulty on some bosses but the feeling is more like Devil May Cry.

People tends to call "soulslike or soulsborne" at every action figjting game with big bosses and an demanding/exacting gameplay.
Stellar and Wukong are more adventure, nothing rpg and both follows a simple path with a lot of dialog.

I'm totally between those two games as i love games a bit Souls lookalike gameplay talking, but From Software did too much medieval fantastic games, i became a bit allergic wearing an armor/shield/sword. On Stellar Blade it's a futuristic game with meca, big E.T. bosses, and Wukong is very "animal" and got nothing to share with medieval fantastic....
Well i said that, and didn't buy Elden Ring for that simple reason that it was looking like a Souls 4 even if i know the lore, gameplau and rpg system with an open world. But yes, there's a lot of copy like the Soulsborne without gore Lies of P, Kingdom Come, Forsaken looks and play exactly like a Souls same for design etc.
Mortal Shells is a copy paste. All those games have good notes on websites through.

That game, stellar blade i didn't even knows the existance 2 weeks ago and only saw gameplay 2 days ago truely deserve his own thread and i've heard about iMt but didn't know it was so so good to play and watch, i just read that it's a PS5 exclusive but i hope the exlusivity is temporary

Otherwise i brough Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. It was weirdly one of my favorite even if the game was short but that's the one i was always on panic to meet the Nemesis. When you heard "Starrrrs.... Starrs" you're already half dead.
But that remaster is completely different than the original, the first and the second were pretty similar.
The game makes me think a bit like Tomb Raider on Ps4 but with super enhanced graphics.

Look at the first 10-15 minutes, it's convincing, i took it on December promotion for 15 euros

You should play "Squirrel with a gun" and the other game which makes me laugh like a dumber is a point'n'click called "Death of the Reprobates" where you play a sort of king on the renaissance doing some simple quest. It's gold for your stomach

Played a big chunk of Path of Exile 2.
Have never gotten into CRPGs but giving Baldurs Gate 3 a try to see what all the fuss is about.... hope I don't drop it fast,,,

Pes 20, Fifa 19, Kingdom come deliverance 1 and 2nd play through on Witcher 3
Also reinstalled Fifa19 and updated the squads to 24/25. Had some fantastic games....movements feel less janky than new iterations and well, my defense actually isn't braindead.

FIFA 19 a underated title, kinda hard getting the balance right with sliders (good Def/potent offense without being OP) Vs 17 for instance, but once you got those right, really a lovely game

Dragon Age Inquisition (bought 2nd hand for 6€)
Pes 20 (a lot)
And really missed a good story driven game, so i bought GTA IV, clunky and shitty graphics, but oh how good it is (bought a 360 copy for €4)

Assetto Corsa Evo… 😊

For an early access title it’s already hitting the direction the title is thriving for pretty good.
The FFB got a solid foundation, loading times are excellent, gfx are good, license drives are entertaining… I can’t wait to see what the early access version will turn into, once it hits 1.0. 🥳

Sure it’s an all spare single player experience for now, but Kunos will work it out fine (with their passion and support by the community)!

Been playing Medieval Dynasty for the past few weeks now.
It isn't really a survival game as there is zero threat from the outside world.
Mainly more about city building, resource management and managing villagers.
Only issue with the game is no mods as the developers won't allow it.
So on PC there is zero quality of life improvements which would make the game more accessible and enjoyable.
Overall though it is pretty decent makes a nice change from most survival games.

Also recently completed Sons of the Forest which is over pretty quickly and once you complete the story there is little need to ever continue.
So overall it wasn't that great and won't go back and play again.

Also trying KCD:2 which I am about 2/3 hours in but finding it a never ending tutorial at the moment.

Dipping my toes in CRPGs, enjoying BG3, but decided to leave that one for later as it seems its the most fleshed out.
Enjoying Divinity games and wasteland 3. Will try to get into Disco Elysium, tried it a year ago and didn't really grab me.

Disco Elysium is a poetic, political masterpiece.
