Despite all of this, there's a serious concern over the sense of challenge in the Career mode. Buying and upgrading a car is one of the core mechanics of the game, so it's only natural that gamers will, increase the power of their car as soon as they have the credits (which are dished out quite liberally through the game.) The issue is how the cars driven by the AI opponents aren't themselves upgraded, leaving your A Class 722 PI hotrod blaze a trail through the competition with ease. If Turn 10 has been working out personalities for each of the AI, then perhaps it would be more realistic to have the drivers upgrade their own vehicles too.
With the release of Forza 2 now just a month away, all Turn 10's attention is focused on polishing around the edges to ensure that the game is the best that it can be. There's no denying the sheer breadth of race types and car customisation on offer in the game is huge, but there are a number of gaps in this version of Forza 2 that leaves us worried. At the top of this list is the apparent lack of balance between the cars that the player races compared to the AI opponents, which seems to suggest that Forza 2 may be repeating the fundamental flaw of the original - offering a single-player experience virtually bereft of a challenge. We'll have to wait until it leaves the pits on June 8th to find out.

Good score, no?
For those who have the full version, the comment made by TVG about races being too easy and unbalanced due to being able to upgrade your car and blow the comp away. Is that true?
