Forza Motorsport 2

finished it in about 2 hours, started the download right after it was released. and i haven't tried it yet, lol.

Review from my son...

The game is VERY realistic.
Sounds are great,Graphics very good.
Only one track available.
No in car view.
Overall a very good game.

"With our new dashboard update, downloads are 3x faster!"

Utter bollocks.

mine downloaded in about 20 minutes and thats the fastest a demo has ever done for me

as for the game im not impressed, the damage is not very good at all the rest is OK

Standard racing game like PGR and Test Drive

the damage isnt very good because its cosmetic damage! the demo is a demo of the arcade mode not the simulation/career mode Its anything but bog standard, if you dnt play racing games often or are not that bothered about them then you wont understand the physics, and the balance of the game engine !

I suggest anybody thats not that impressed turn off all the assists in the game and try geting round the track?

Not got it yet but from what I'm reading, approx 80% of people aren't too impressed with the graphics at all and think PGR3 is better. Not what I was expecting to hear, I thought Forza 2 would be better looking than Gran Turismo ... I guess not.

LOL:lmao:

Yes you go play PGR3 its much better lol!

I thought the graphics were average to good. The cars look nice, but thats about it. PGR beats it by miles in the graphical department IMO

I dunno, I feel a little disappointed with the demo to be honest!

Cant believe how lame this looks. GTHD is jus GT4 in HD & looks better than this.

GT5 must look amazing then?

O well its just another maybe game for me!

The way I see it, it's like if Forza 2 was released on PS2. It could have the best physics in the world and be a really good game but honestly, if it had last-gen graphics, it WOULD get to you after a while.

I recently moved the PS2 from the family room into my room, because I wanted to play the past GTAs (which I used to love, but never finished). Five minutes into GTA San Andreas I was thinking "I just can't get into this, it looks fucking awful, blurry faces and jaggies everywhere". Which I know is a terrible thing to say but it's true. It really puts you off, when you've got used to seeing everything in pin-sharp clarity.

Gameplay is paramount, of course, but if the game looks utterly average then you're going to be disappointed, surely, when we've been in next-gen territory now for a year or two.

Doesnt get to me and I think it looks decent. Id rather play a game with good physics and damage as ive said 100000000 times!

I dont care about flash graphics and a huge car catalogue.... I want a realistic racing game. This appears to be it!

You say that but when the PGR4 demo becomes available the graphics will make you sick...

Wow, all the hype and promotion for the game too, I guess releasing a demo was a bad move as it might put a lot of people off buying the game now.

Nah hasnt put me off one bit. I will still be buying this. I understand this is demonstrating the arcade mode and not the Simulation mode so I reckon the Sim mode will be tonnes better. Yes it has a few GFX flaws but im none too fussed.

Very very bland, dull, uninspiring etc etc. It looks average, and is simply not fun at all. It sounds great though. :)

Surely the demo isn't an arcade mode demo? Then all the sim guys (like me) would be totally put off (which I have been)!

The game modes etc. sound great but if it plays like this and looks like this then... Oh well. At least I'll have another £40 in my wallet.

the damage is only cosmetic in the demo so ur car does not react to any damage during the race.

but turning off the assists would make it SIM mode though right?

i found the demo to be really boring. racing around on tracks rather than street racing seems too dull.

the gfx are poor too. i can see gaps in the cars where the joins are. they show as jagged white lines. anyone else see them?

looks like the line on the door of this car

i don't think it's the reflection of the sun, because it's in the shade.
