Pazzini scored the first goal in a proper game but if your interested the first goal at the new wembley was scored by Mark Bright.

Update on my game:

Finished first season, quarter final of Carling Cup, 2nd KO round of Europa League, FA Cup 5th Round and finished 8th in Premiership, missing out on Europa League by a bloody point. The Greek 20 year old CAM/CM I signed came runner up in Signing of the Season so that was pleasing, he came 2nd in Young Player of the Month for April and then won it for May.

Just about start the second season now. I've signed Ronaldinho for £12M. Really hoping he isn't goin to be a flop... It's a definite gamble, I know, but hoping it pays off. Going to be playing a 4-3-1-2 formation this year, (to start with at least anyway :LOL:). Playing Downing and Ashley Young as wingers, but in line with the midfield, and Makoun as CM with Defend or Support duty, and Ronaldinho as Attacking Playmaker on Attack duty. Bent & Agbonlahor up front, Attacking Forward and Poacher.

The board expected respectable League position this year, but I upped it and said I could get European qualification through League finish.

what teams are you guys?
 
Won the first two Premiership games but played pretty woefully, then was away at Notts County in the Carling Cup and I put out a strong side and we were 2-0 down after 20 minutes. I abandoned the 4-3-1-2 and went back to 4-4-2 and we won 3-2.
 
I'm struggling right now at the beginning of the season. My 4-4-2 doesn't seem to be as affective. Probably my fault though. I might need to fine tune it some.
 
Stuck with the 4-4-2, beat Bolton 4-3 then Stoke 2-0, then got raped by Bolton 4-1 in Carling Cup and then raped Wolves 5-2 at their place :D. Joint top of the Premiership after 6 games, W5 L1.
 
Wow. Very good Timothy. I've also stuck with the 4-4-2 and am playing better. Qualified for the first knockout round in the CL. I have Inter, Stuggart and Dynamo in my group.

Sweet man. I'll get it when I get home. I think you, Tim and myself should start a network game. Even if we only get in one game a week, I think it would be cool.
 
It's out for non steam users now. I'm still at work but should be home in an hour and a half. And if my puppy allows, I'll be playing in 2 hours.
 
Just smashed Birmingham (Richard Keys stylee) at their place 5-2! Bent hat trick. We are now 3rd in the Premiership after 14 games played, 4 points behind Man U and Liverpool.
 
I have moved into 2nd place in the EPL 2 points behind Arsenal. After a shakey start we simplified things and are starting to pick up the wins. I also finished first in the group stage of the CL ahead of Inter. I have Benfica in the first knockout Rd. I'm in the semis of the Carling Cup against Arsenal. I play Middlesbrough in the 3rd rd of the FA Cup. This is with a young squad too. Average age 22.
 
Wow, that's very impressive! I don't expect that I'll be able to keep this up, but hopefully it should put me on course for a Europa League place next season.

Ooh thanks for reminding me about the patch, I've downloaded it to my MacBook and will install it before I play some more today. Will it have any effect at all on a save game?
 
Yes it will affect the save game. Any changes besides data changes will take affect. I like the patch so far. My fullbacks are finally starting to get forward more.
 
Oh ok cool. If I start losing I won't be happy lol! I forgot to say I won 3-1 at Old Trafford and 2-1 at the Emirates :)).
 
I'm hit and miss against the big teams, either win, or get totally raped. Man City just beat me 5-1. They had about 18 shots to my 2 lol.
 
Around the 80th minute of the game, I change tempo to slow, raise time waisting to often, change passing to shorter and go defensive or counter. In the shouts I choose retain possession and pass to feet.
 
What kind of game are you looking for Kev? You want to start lower then move up? You want a challenge in the Prem? I think you should go Fulham and we can compare our games. :)
