Football Manager 2011

Got the sack from Novara... even though I hadn't lost in like 10 games. Torino snapped me up and now I've built a strong team in January. I'm going to get Torino promoted!
 
I play on normal speed, extended highlights. And I usually play for, on average, an hour a day at least. Just beat Blackburn 4-0 away and then Metalist 4-0 away.
 
Do you guys get excited/nervous when the seasons expectations come up? When you get your transfer kitty. I love that time. It takes me a couple of minutes to really think about what my team can do. But that money is so tempting.
 
I always choose the lowest expectation haha. Going very well with Villa still, we're 4th after 9 games, in the Carling Cup quarter final v Stoke and top of the Europa League group having won all 3 games and conceded 0 goals.

Need to strengthen in January though, need a left winger and more attack minded central midfielder.
 
Very good Timothy. I usually choose the lowest expectation too. But this time I chose title challenge. It was giving me $19 million more dollars to take me to $90 million.
 
Lost the Carling Cup quarter final against Stoke on penalties, who didn't even have a shot on target, we bloody battered them. Just one of them games. Got Jablonec in the 1st knockout round of Europa League coming up. Just beat Oxford 9-0 in the FA Cup :LOL:. Premiership going ok, lost a few silly games though which is annoying. We are 7th after 21 games so definitely hoping to qualify for Europa League again.

Transfer window has opened and I've signed Javier Saviola for £12.75M from Benfica, and hoping to sign a Greek 20 year old CM from Panathinaikos who looks very promising. They've accepted my £8.75M bid and I've offered a contract. Also hoping to sign a 17 year old striker from Ipswich who's going to be amazing!
 
Nice keeping them in 7th. I hate losing those matches that you have dominated. But it does happen.

I've just finished the long off season. Not sure I've made the best signings. I bought a 29 year old Italian striker Giampaolo Pazzini. I think that's going to be a good buy. Then I bought a 25 year old midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic to eventually replace Fellaini. But not sure that was a good buy. But Fellaini hasn't been playing as good as I think he should.
 
Pazzini was the first person to score at the new Wembley stadium if I recall correctly, for Italy U21, I believe he actually got a hat trick that day too.

Just beat Everton 2-0, Saviola scored and set 1 up on debut :)).

EDIT: Also got the 17 year old striker from Ipswich, for £4M. He scored 2 and was MOTM in his first U18 game. Definitely won't be long before he features in the 1st team.

I was bored with fm so let me tell you what I done.

As a Celtic supporter. I put Celtic and Rangers in the Npower Championship.

What an idea wish I doen this before.

Gotta get celtic into Premiership then challenge for title and Scottish champions of Preimership haha.
 
How do you guys approach it when you're playing against better, bigger teams? I seem to get raped every time I play Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, etc :((.
 
I would get raped by them too and I still lose to them. I usually play narrow and slow tempo. Maybe short passing to try to frustrate them. Definitely counter attack or defensive.

funny story.

YEsterday I was 1-0 up 1st leg against dynamo kiev at home.

So away leg I went counter attack, rigid, I won 4-2. lol

Next round got Zenit St Petersburg w eaker team than Kiev probaly. Away 1st leg so I tried exact smae formation. 4-0 to Zenit at half time. Fuk that I dotn cheat often but I wont chapions league football so a quit alt and f4 at half time lol.
