Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. This will be very tough for Costa Rica with one man down. Have the bad feeling the Greece will make it even before we reach the PKs.

Hey, if you like the Netherlands you're allowed to be a "hypocrite". I still rooted for Argentina in 1990, for example, and they weren't exactly full of class then. I never really had a thing for the Netherlands in the first place, although I enjoyed watching them in better times. I was a big fan of van Bronckhorst and particulary his deep crosses when he was converted to LB on his (g)older days. Anyway, I probably judge them harder than teams I like for the same things, but I'm not sure I would support Argentina the way they played in 1990 today... there's a difference between teenager and adult awareness of reality.

I think it's OK to have somewhat double standards as a football supporter but I think it's fair to be aware of it.

The worst best game or best worst game of the WC? Wouldn't surprise me to see a bunch of balls fly wide and high in the shoot out. Everyone seems to be entirely out of it.
 
I once kicked a penalty after 120+ minutes in Dana Cup and I struggled to reach the goal line. I scored only because the keeper hurt his shoulder when he dived early to the wrong side... My legs felt like jelly and I had tendencies to cramps in the run up.

EDIT; It may have been 2x40 mins + extra time, I don't remember.

Ssssooooo.. How come the Greek fans have a Dutch beer brand on their jerseys? Was wondering about that before.. Never seen a sponsor on a natl team jersey before?

this is a dream, unbeliveable...sport has won, not money or primadonas...just pure sport and passion...

i want them to go as far as possible, but also Colombia... omg what a tournament!

Yeah, but he's experienced and a great guy so he'll handle it better than most. I feel bad for Greece though, they are not the same destructive anti-football force we saw in 2008. They do their best with what they got and it wouldn't have been entirely unfair if they'd won this one.

I wish them good luck.
