FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014

Tough luck for Mexico. But I think the Netherlands deserve it for there 2nd hald. 1st half wasn't none exist for both teams! The heat was mental (almost 40.ºc :OOOH:). Mexico scored a great goal, but then they just seat on their lead. No counter whatsoerver. If it wasn't for Momo they would score more early.

Btw, what a entry for Huntelaar! First game, all the pressure and he stepped up.

Fuck Football. that's it.

Holland was mediocre all along the tournament, and Mexico was the best team.

There's no contact so Robben's a diver once again.

This is the most foul-smelling victory so far in this WC.

There was clear contact. Márquez "step" on Robben. He was an impetitive contact, IMO. Then Robben made his theatrics. But still a penalty in my view.

I am really tired of non passing moron, who diving and fall down even if wind touch him. Became really boring these days as player.. Well done Mexico, great game. I really gona miss me their coach :-D

Let's ban everyone and bring back Terry Butcher and the idea that tackle bellow the knee isn't a foul.

Holland never give up..they had better possesion, more chances and Mexico are saved mainly by amazing Ochoa...

maybe it wasn´t in style, but they never gave up.

You must of been watching field hockey ... Mexico had waves of attack Robin was sub due for fertilizing the pitch too long... Ground keeper had his tits in a twist with Robin do all shit on the surface. Robben ran and ran Vaal gal didn't sub him , because he fear Robben w'd refuse to leave.

I hope Mexico fans stay ...

Both Brazil and the Netherlands incredibly lucky. Mexico and Chile deserved to go through.

the only thing I liked about Holland in this game was van Gaal's tactical flexibility. started with 3-5-2(or rather 3-4-1-2), de jong got forced to leave early and turned to 4-3-1-2(442diamond), then verhaegh-depay switch and turned to 3-3-3-1(343diamond). hats off to blind and kuyt's(age 34) versatility as well.

after watching the replays over and over again, I think it's a clear dive. marquez doesn't really step on robben's foot(moves freely) and there's even a little time space between when that and the dive happens.

First half was clearly for Mexico and the second half was COMPLETELY for us (except first 10 minutes).

I agree, Mexico didn't do much at all after they scored. From that point onward it was all Oranje. And given how many chances they created as well as the fact that they were denied a very clear penalty in the first half, I think this result is alright in the end.

I hate to be that guy but in a way that was deserved bc of the two missed PK calls. At the same time it was do late in the game that having it go to OT would've been more fair. Netherlands put massive pressure on Mexico after they scored tho so I don't think the end result was against the overall balance of the game.

That's was something that I noticed to. Van Gaal is changing, which looks great for Man U. He was always a stubborn coach, which was epitomized in the CL final against Inter.

Robben had no chance to still running with the ball, but he had a chance to jump 2 meters... OK

Agree on this.

As much as I wanted Mexico to advance, I can't argue the fact that the Dutch were the better team in the second half and did more to get back into/win the match.

maybe it has something to do with his huge failure with Dutch NT before the 2002 WC. :)

Did you expect the losing team to stop playing? They had to keep on trying ,Mexico sat back and tried to counter. To score (2) within 2+ minutes is incredible luck.

Not scoring from a single one of their earlier chances was extremely unlucky.

By that logic Mexico had the luck to not get one or more goals against sooner, no?
