FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014

I whish someone accidentally kick Müller straight in his leg where he should wear protection but doesn't. Looks stupid too... showing off his stalks...

Portugal snubbed there as well... that was a penalty.

edit: @lukas_rod It's his index fingers.

Can't catch a break. Coentrâo WC looks over.

Yeah, Pepe is a dumbass. I'm anger at him, believe me. That was just to respond to the "Portuguese whinners and cheaters" that normally goes in British press/public, when in fact all teams and most players do the same.

This game in this conditions should'not be played. Starting a game at 13:00 local time in the tropics, 30.º with 80% humidity.

Portugal is really shattered...poor passes, poor decisions, sad to see as I had hopes that they might be able to pull a surprise against this German team who's still experiencing their line-ups.

I feel the frustration from C. Ron...

Stone wall peno on Eder not given, could understand why CR was frustrated.

Muller hattrick vs basically 9 men team (Nani is a donkey, be it for Man Utd or Portugal :().

Shame that Coentrao and Almeida got injured and looks like for both of them WC is over :/.

oh how I wish to be Muller...not all that talented, but always able to score....He's really blessed with great teammates...

wowo.... Muller is one of the, if not the most inteligent striker in world football.

he is since his 21...

he gives much more than just scoring goals. and it's not like it's that easy to score. he has a great vision that only very, very few footballers have and being in the right place at the right time is one of the main aspects in football. he's also a great passer too(don't care what fifa or pes says). right from the time van gaal made him a first xi player, he's been an ultimate team player.

can't believe there are people still thinks that he's just a lucky one.

The lack of attitude is the most frustrating thing, not the result or the absurd ref. If we do get to the next stage, we'll most likely go home right away. This team can't compete.

All the media was questioning about Messi, but they never question Ronaldo.

Portugal have had good chances to score in this, but most of the time its like they are searching for Ronaldo all the time.

Well, I guess that's where his talents are and thus all his goals. I like the kid, just don't feel that he's as great as many others say and most of his goals are "easier" (if that's possible) in comparison to other goal scorers because of his team-mates providing great passes/support to him.

i have a feeling you talk about a different Muller than the one playing for Bayern...

the guy is a fantastic player...

The team was playing well before the penalty. And after that they play ok until the 2nd goal, in which they felt asleep. After the red card, the team lost his composure.

Don't understand all the Mueller hate. He's a very effective player.

It's not hatred when it's true. He's a pipelegged clutz on the ball and he has a face only a mother could love (thinking of his celebration face when his mouth increases 478% in size and he tilts the jaw slightly to the side). I never claimed he was lucky though, he's determined and smart. It's actually good to see that you don't need to be a technical virtuoso to become a world class player even in 2014.

I know, what all the German media headlines will be tomorrow. :( Now they all get ecstatic, because we beat one of the weakest Portugal sides I ever witnessed. Think we can be lucky that we didn't get that penalty call against us, was nearly the same as in Götze's case.

it's mainly because Argentina is a world cup winning country and Portugal didn't even play a final yet. plus media would love to label their lovely messi "the goat" if he wins the world cup, that's why all the pressure there is.

When some clueless sonsofmothers claims that either of the two need WC glory to prove they are best, they clearly fail to grasp the concept of their claim. That would mean that the worlds greatest player could never come from 95% of the world's countries.

The fact is that those two particularly are godlike in football terms. Which is better? Can't really say, depends on which day of the week it is I suppose. They're both disgustingly good and any further detailed specification is irrelevant. Complete failure for one or both of them in this WC won't change that.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Now everyone will think again Löw did everything right and are fapping on that win and after all they will be shocked and surprised again if we lose later against a team like Italy.

I watched many bayern games over the years since the new look van gaal brought to them, I can surely say that Bayern without him have never been as effective as he was on the pitch. he really brings a fresh air on the attack all throughout the games.

in 2010 world cup semi final, he couldn't play due to suspension.
in 2012 euro semi final, he was benched and subbed in at the 71th minute.

and you know the results.

imo, as much as bayern and germany make him better, he makes them better too.

Look who Messi has around him, then look who Ronaldo has lol

Aren't Di Stefano, Púskas, Platini, Cruiff, Eusébio and others among the very best players that the game had ever seen. The idea that a player needs WC glory to be one of the very best is ridiculous.
